Since purchasing the Loftus Family Dental practice in February 2021, Dr. Emerson Godbolt has established a significant client base and the respect of many in the community.

Originally from Whitehall, Montana, Dr. Godbolt enjoys living in a small town and all the outdoor opportunities Sandpoint offers. He attended undergraduate school at Carroll College in Helena, fighting wildland fires to help fund his education. He later attended dental school at Oregon Health and Sciences in Portland, Oregon. But his education did not stop there. It is important to him to stay current with the latest in dentistry, so he has his Fellowship through the Academy of General Dentistry and will graduate with his Mastership in July of this year; a distinction held by less than 2 percent of dentists.

At Northern Peaks Dental, Dr. Godbolt employs three dental hygienists, four dental assistants and two front-office team members.

His practice is unique in that he offers many services that some dentists do not. He performs oral surgery for patients including wisdom teeth, tooth extractions and implants. For those who are anxious when it comes to dental visits, Dr. Godbolt can offer IV sedation and general anesthesia.

Other services you typically do not encounter during a trip to the dentist that you will find at Northern Peaks Dental are facial esthetic services, wellness checks, IV therapy, and much more. Some of those esthetic services include Botox and fillers as well as all-natural facial rejuvenation services using PRF (plateletrich fibrin), which uses your body’s growth factors to stimulate collagen, tighten skin, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. These services are provided by a Nurse Practitioner on staff.

The effect of Dr. Godbolt’s passion for dentistry and changing people’s lives is evident.

“When we can start to correct a person’s dental problems, their entire outlook can change. Giving a patient the confidence of a new smile, or even just getting someone out of incredible pain, is the most fulfilling part of what I do,” he says.
