Coffee Talk We believe that coffee is one of the most energizing storytelling mediums. That's why we have Coffee Talk: a conversational pop-up with coffee and pastries. Every month, Tech Square ATL members swing by for a minute - or an hour - to catch up and caffeinate before diving into their workday. At each pop-up, a thoughtful question based on shared community interest is posed to lead the conversation, allowing research students, startup founders, and corporate innovators to share their curiosities around each topic. Cocktail Talk Wine down, get into better spirits or open up about your ale-ments: Cocktail Talk is an open-invitation communal happy hour for those who prefer to gather after 5pm. Similar to our morning coffee popups, we explore different topics based on community interests. This season, we toasted over our shared enthusiasm for local beers and sang our hearts out in our first-ever Karaoke Night. Super Drone Racing took off with their first flight in October with our shared community space as the arena. The Book | 17

Super Drone Racing Tech Square ATL member Chris Phillips started Super Drone Racing to bring enthusiasts in our community together and put their own mini drones to the test. Pilots of all experiences sped through physical obstacles throughout the 2-story track, with heats of up to 4 racers. The high-speed spectacle was fueled by pizza and cold beverages, with video game breaks punctuating the 10 races that blazed through the night. Next year, Chris hopes to take it to the next level by incorporating First Person View (FPV) goggles into the mix, with racers maneuvering through augmented reality obstacles he will build himself.
