DUNN'S RIVER
Rolling Out the Red Carpet
Sandals Dunn’s River rolled out the red carpet for the Housekeeping team to mark International Housekeeping Week recently. One of the major events was a cocktail and dinner function which was wellreceived by the team. Here are pictorial highlights from the event.

MOBAY REGION
Putting Plastic in its Place
Over 110 volunteers came together at Jobson Bay Eco Beach Park, removing more than 780 pounds of waste in observance of International Coastal Cleanup Day. Sandals Foundation volunteers from the Montego Bay region including team members from Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Royal Caribbean supported the cause and reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the environment and preserving Jamaica’s coastline. The cleanup also highlighted the ongoing issue of single-use plastics, with over 1,400 plastic bottles collected.

Two meaningful moments
Honoring the champions of cleanliness and comfort, Sandals Halcyon Beach proudly celebrated Housekeeping Week with gratitude and joy. Meanwhile, the Soy & Kimonos team enjoyed a well-deserved golf and brunch appreciation day. Two meaningful moments to recognize the dedication, spirit, and hard work that make our resort shine.

CURAÇAO
Lionfish Hunter
On Friday, September 5, Jeffrey Speelman, General Manager of Sandals Royal Curaçao, achieved his PADI Lionfish Hunter Specialty Certification. This was done with the guidance and support of Ambassador guest Scott Taylor. Lionfish, an invasive species harmful to Caribbean reefs and coral ecosystems, are actively removed by certified divers—and the bonus is, they also make for a delicious meal. Jeffrey, pictured in a black shirt in the group photo, joined his Sandals Royal Curaçao Watersports team and resort guests for a fun-filled dive in the turquoise waters of Curaçao, where he proudly landed his very first lionfish. SRI
'School Dayz'
Our corporate offices in Montego Bay hosted its quarterly birthday celebration recently, feting team members with an evening of food and fun. The event was a uniform party, held under the theme School Dayz, bringing back nostalgia as many team members dressed in school uniforms. The evening was filled with fond memories and laughter, with celebrants receiving tokens and taking part in a lively trivia competition for prizes, along with games from classic Jamaican childhood pastimes such as ABC Fast and Slow. The food was delicious, the music was upbeat and blasting, and spirits were high all around. Big thanks to Team HR for another awesome celebration for our corporate family!

ROYAL PLANTATION
Feting our Housekeeping Heroes
Sandals Royal Plantation celebrated Housekeeping Week in fine style with a plethora of activities which were well received by the housekeepers. Here they accept certificates of appreciation from Learning & Development Manager Shree Walker as well as being feted by the resort.

TURKS AND CAICOS
Skill and Spirit on Showcase
The amazing Housekeeping team at Beaches Turks & Caicos showcased their skills and spirit through fun activities such as a towel-folding competition and the exciting blindfolded bed-making challenge. It was a week filled with teamwork, laughter, and recognition for the incredible work they do every day.

Managers’ Retreat 2025
The leadership team at Beaches Turks & Caicos came together for a well-deserved retreat filled with relaxation, connection, and fun. From friendly rounds of dominoes to creative moments at sip-and-paint, and simply enjoying time to bond, the retreat captured the true spirit of teamwork. The leadership team created the buzz of the quarter!
ROYAL BAHAMIAN
A Fresh Start for Gambier Primary School
As part of our ongoing commitment to education and community development, the Sandals Royal Bahamian team proudly refurbished the lunch area at Gambier Primary School just in time for the 2025 school year. Students now have a comfortable and welcoming space to enjoy their meals and connect with their peers.

SOUTH COAST
Security Team Honoured in Style
In a heart-warming and well-deserved celebration, the Sandals South Coast Security and Loss Prevention Team was recently recognized for their unwavering dedication to keeping the resort safe; not just for their valued guests, but for their fellow team members as well. The team was celebrated in a vibrant award ceremony that highlighted their commitment, vigilance, and teamwork. From supervisors to the extended security team, each member plays a key role in upholding the high standards of safety and service that Sandals Resorts is known for. As a token of appreciation, team members were feted with exciting prizes, treated to delicious food, and enjoyed great music in an atmosphere filled with camaraderie and gratitude.

Sandals Foundation Leads Regional Coastal Cleanup
The Sandals Foundation once again mobilized hundreds of volunteers across the Caribbean for International Coastal Cleanup Day (ICCD) on September 20. From Jamaica to St. Lucia, Antigua to The Bahamas – and every island where Sandals operates – teams joined forces to protect our vital marine ecosystems.
In Jamaica, efforts included two underwater cleanups at the Boscobel and White House Fish Sanctuaries, alongside wide-scale coastal activities that saw hundreds of volunteers removing waste from our shores.
Spearheaded by the Sandals Foundation with support from regional partners, the initiative was part of a global movement dedicated to marine conservation and environmental stewardship. More than 400 Sandals Foundation volunteers participated across the region.
ICCD plays a key role in tackling solid waste pollution, safeguarding water quality, and protecting aquatic life and habitats. Beyond revitalizing coastlines, the event inspires community action and highlights the power of collective responsibility in advancing environmental sustainability.

“Empowering communities to protect our coastlines remains a top priority,” said Heidi Clarke, Executive Director of the Sandals Foundation. “Our marine ecosystems provide food, livelihoods, and natural protection, so it’s critical that we preserve them.”
For 16 years, the Foundation has championed environmental sustainability beyond ICCD, with ongoing programs in marine sanctuary management, coral restoration, environmental education, and biodiversity conservation — ensuring the Caribbean’s natural resources thrive for generations to come.

Executive Chairman Details Sandals® and Beaches® Resorts’ Continued Legacy of Bold All-Inclusive Evolution

Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of Sandals and Beaches Resorts, returned to the stage at the Skift Global Forum, sharing his vision for the future of all-inclusive hospitality with an audience of industry leaders, innovators, and travel executives from around the world. His fireside chat, “Crafting an Authentic Vision for All-Inclusive Hospitality,” moderated by Skift’s President Carolyn Kremins, offered an inside look at the evolution of all-inclusive travel and the brands’ industry-leading legacy.
Stewart also revealed the company’s longterm plans to build a new Beaches Resort in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, reinforcing the company’s commitment to expanding its Caribbean footprint.
A key theme that emerged from the conversation was what many in the industry call the “Sandals Effect,” underscoring the significant impact the brands have when they enter a new destination. “It’s clear that all tides rise together,” said Stewart.
“Since entering Saint Vincent, we’ve seen visitor arrivals climb and airlift into the destination rise by over 300%. We’re excited to continue that momentum with plans to bring a new 360-room Beaches Resort to this incredible destination.”
Adding to that and highlighting the growing demand for multi-generational travel, Stewart reflected on the roots of the Beaches brand, while mapping its future. He showcased the soon- to-open Treasure Beach Village expansion at Beaches Turks and Caicos, which will add 101 expansive new suites, followed by upcoming resorts including the new Beaches Exuma; Beaches Barbados; and Beaches Runaway Bay in Jamaica. Together, these projects represent a $1 billion investment to redefine family travel across the Caribbean.
The conversation also emphasized the brands’
broader role in the Caribbean economy, sourcing more than 80% of products locally in Jamaica, hiring team members years in advance of openings in new destinations, and highlighting 97% of its 20,000 team members being Caribbean nationals.
“It’s been an incredible journey as a family to build a hospitality enterprise from the ground up and contribute to setting new standards in the industry,” said Stewart. “What excites us most is training and development – taking people with natural talent and helping them grow within a culture of hospitality that lets them truly shine. In Saint Vincent, we brought on 480 team members two years before the resort even opened, giving them time to fully embrace our culture and preparing them for long-term success.”
Stewart also highlighted the impact of the Sandals Foundation, which channels 100% of its donations into education, the environment, and local communities. To date, the Foundation has invested nearly $115 million in projects that have positively impacted 1.7 million people across the region.
Recognized as one of the most important stages in travel and hospitality, the Skift Global Forum offers a platform for the exchange of ideas that influence the entire sector. Stewart’s contribution reinforced Sandals Resorts International’s role as a trailblazer in redefining the allinclusive category for a new era of hospitality.
