Sandals Dunn’s River Set the Stage as NBC’s TODAY Show Broadcast Two Special Episodes from Jamaica

Sandals Dunn’s River took centre stage on national television in the United States as NBC’s TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle traded the studio for the resort's oceanfront setting, airing two special episodes that showcased Jamaica's vibrant culture, music and natural beauty to millions of viewers across the country. Filmed at iconic destination hotspots and along a stretch of the resort's beach, the shows captured the co-hosts' first trip since Sheinelle Jones officially joined Jenna Bush Hager earlier this year. Sponsored by Sandals Resorts and the Jamaica Tourist Board, the hosts were welcomed to an immersive celebration of the island's rhythm, flavor and creativity, all set against the shores of Jamaica's north coast.

Throughout the two-day series, Jenna and Sheinelle were joined by some of Jamaica's most celebrated talents, who helped bring to life the island's unmistakable spirit. Awardwinning actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, a recipient of the prestigious Order of Jamaica and one of TIME Magazine's 2026 Women of the Year, opened up about her Jamaican roots and the island's enduring charm and resilience. Music icon Shaggy joined the trio for a lively game of

"It Wasn't Me" before diving into conversation about the island's global cultural influence. Together with a troupe of dancers, superstar Sean Paul gave the duo a crash course in Jamaican dancehall before watching them perform their newly learned routine to his latest track, "Ready for The Ride." Award-winning Jamaican chef Andre Fowles and The Rousseau Sisters brought forward the flavors of Jamaica through cooking segments that celebrated the island's bold cuisine and rich culinary traditions. A celebration of Jamaican creativity also took center stage with a fashion segment featuring designer Mina Robertson, spotlighting local women designers and the vibrant style and artistry shaping the island's fashion scene.

The adventure extended beyond the beach as Jenna and Sheinelle experienced some of the region's most iconic sights with Island Routes. Setting off by speedboat from Sandals Dunn's River, the hosts journeyed along the north coast to the legendary Dunn's River Falls, where they climbed the captivating cascading limestone terraces that have drawn travelers to the island for generations. Their exploration continued with a visit to Mystic Mountain for

sweeping rainforest views and bobsled thrills followed by lunch at beloved local restaurant Miss T's Kitchen, where Jamaica's Minister of Tourism, Edmund Bartlett, and a local mento band welcomed the duo to a taste of the island's rich culinary heritage.

"Jamaica has always been a place where music, culture and hospitality come together in a way that resonates far beyond our shores," said Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts. "It was a pleasure to welcome Jenna and Sheinelle to Sandals Dunn's River and see them experience the island alongside so many incredible Jamaican artists, chefs and performers who bring our culture to life. Watching people fall in love with Jamaica in real time is always special, and we were proud to share that moment with the world."

The episodes unfolded before a live audience of Sandals Resorts guests, including the winners of a contest that invited two lucky viewers to travel to Jamaica to experience an all-inclusive trip firsthand, sharing the Jamaica love with Jenna and Sheinelle.

Resort Riddims! Sandals

Region-wide Team Talent Showcase Delivers New Service Anthem

In a room filled with enthusiastic team members, Sandals Resorts leaders from across the Caribbean region, celebrity guests and an electrifying atmosphere, the company awarded two standout team members US$10,000 for creating the jingle that has become the anthem of the brand’s Service DNA.

This “Service DNA” represents the genetic code that shapes the mindset, behaviours, culture and systems behind the signature Sandals experience – a theme underscored earlier during the company’s first group wide town hall of 2026, led by Executive Chairman Adam Stewart. At the town hall, Stewart provided team members with key updates, including progress on hurricane recovery efforts and several exciting new developments across the Sandals portfolio.

With updates delivered and the room brimming with anticipation, he queued the ‘lights and action,’ shifting the spotlight to the finale of the company’s first-ever Resort Riddims

competition held recently. This group wide initiative invited team members, months earlier, to write and perform an original song highlighting the values embodied in the company’s DNA.

The response was extraordinary.

Beaches Resorts team members across the Caribbean, highlighting incredible talent and friendly rivalry. After a thrilling preliminary round at each location across the nine countries in which the company operates, the competition culminated in a vibrant live show in Jamaica. The top four performances emerged from Grenada, Jamaica and The Bahamas.

The grand finale transformed the conference area of Sandals Ochi Beach Resort into a fullscale performance studio – complete with big screens, colourful stage lighting and sparkler fountains – setting the tone for an unforgettable evening of music, camaraderie and competition. The event was made even more memorable with celebrity appearances from reggae/dancehall singer Christopher Martin and Soca star Alison Hinds, who served as judges alongside the Executive Chairman.

Following captivating performances from the finalists, it was the dynamic duo Brent McMeo and Ahkim Baptiste of Sandals Grenada who won over both the judges and the audience. Their melodic, feel-good Caribbean song, The Sandals Way, earned them the grand prize of US$10,000.

“This winning song is now our official Service DNA anthem – a rallying call for every team member who shows up every day to create

Caribbean moments that last a lifetime,” said Corporate Manager of Employee Experience, Jamie Green.

After the applause settled, the evening took an even more heartfelt turn. Sandals’ Executive Chairman rewarded the artistry and effort of all the finalists with an unexpected gift.

“What amazing talent every one of you exemplified and for that we think it is fitting that each of you get a Sandals holiday with your loved ones, with airfare, where you will be treated the way you deserve. We will VIP you all the way. You’ll be in butler suites, and we’re going to remind you how appreciative we are. I am grateful for this whole journey. You’re all rockstars,” Stewart shared.

Beyond the excitement, the competition carried a deeper purpose. Resort Riddims was an initiative developed by the company’s Experience Department and its twin divisions – Customer Experience (CX), which elevates the guest journey, and Employee Experience (EX), which empowers the team members who deliver those moments.

“That’s what Service DNA is all about – equipping our teams with clear, measurable tools that celebrate the individuality and warmth of Caribbean hospitality. It represents a cultural reset for our brand. It is our commitment to returning to the foundations of who we are, while strengthening how we deliver genuine Caribbean moments to our guests and to each other,” said Regional Manager of CX for Jamaica, Kareema Plummer.

Sandals Announces US$200M Reimagination of Three Iconic Jamaica Resorts

Sandals Resorts International (SRI) has announced a US$200 million investment to reimagine three of its iconic Jamaican resorts: Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Royal Caribbean, and Sandals South Coast.

Following Hurricane Melissa last fall, Sandals Resorts International reopened five of its eight Jamaica properties in December with Sandals Montego Bay, Sandals Royal Caribbean, and Sandals South Coast remaining closed for assessment. As restoration efforts have advanced on the three resorts, the company has identified an opportunity to undertake a more comprehensive transformation aligned with its Sandals 2.0 vision. As a result, Sandals South Coast will reopen on November 18, 2026, followed by both Sandals Royal Caribbean and Sandals Montego Bay on December 18, 2026.

“The opportunity to completely reimagine three resorts at this scale, with full focus and without compromising the guest experience, is extraordinarily rare.” stated Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts International. “With our doors closed, we were given something we almost never have in hospitality, a true blank canvas and having that clarity changed everything. We spent time walking the properties, speaking with our team and thinking about our guests. At a pivotal moment, it became clear: we shouldn’t simply restore what was there. We should dream bigger. When we welcome our guests back, they’ll see the transformation and they’ll feel exactly why we chose to use this moment to create something worthy of their loyalty.”

This reimagining will unfold across many

aspects of the guest experience, from striking new arrival moments overlooking the Caribbean Sea to new accommodation categories, redesigned pools, and refreshed lounge and social spaces -- all while preserving the sense of place and unmistakable spirit guests have come to know and love about these iconic properties. Culinary offerings will also expand with the introduction of new dining concepts and bar experiences across each resort.

SRI further emphasized that all other resorts in Jamaica continue to operate and welcome guests, including Sandals Royal Plantation, Sandals Ochi, Sandals Dunn’s River, Sandals Negril, and Beaches Negril, ensuring guests can continue to experience the beauty of Jamaica while this exciting new chapter unfolds.

Beaches Resorts Announces Grand Opening of Treasure Beach Village

Beaches Resorts has unveiled a bold new chapter in Caribbean family travel with the grand opening of Treasure Beach Village at Beaches Turks and Caicos, a US $150 million expansion that redefines oceanfront luxury on the western edge of the resort’s property.

The award-winning resort brand commemorated the milestone with an elegant and celebratory ribbon cutting ceremony on February 28, staged in the picturesque lobby of the new development overlooking the 15,000-squarefoot lagoon-style pool and the turquoise waters of Grace Bay Beach.

Conceived as a landmark moment for both the brand and the destination, the ceremony gathered Turks and Caicos government officials, Sandals and Beaches Resorts executives and team members, regional business leaders, local suppliers, artisans, artists and members of the media in a powerful show of partnership.

The programme was vibrantly led by master of ceremonies Gary Sadler, executive vice president of sales and industry relations at Unique Vacations, and opened with remarks from James McAnally, regional managing director, Northern Caribbean and Curacao for Sandals and Beaches Resorts, and the Hon. Zhavargo Jolly, minister of tourism, agriculture, fisheries and the environment. Reflections followed from Executive Chairman Adam Stewart, before the ceremony culminated

with a keynote address from the Hon. Charles Washington Misick, premier of the Turks and Caicos Islands, who joined other government officials and resort leaders for the official ribbon cutting that formally declared Treasure Beach Village open.

The event also featured a special performance by the Louise Garland Thomas High School Steel Pan Band and students of the Enid Capron Primary School Cultural Group, celebrating the culture and creativity of the islands. Guests then enjoyed a curated dining experience inside the Village’s newest restaurants, offering a first

taste of the elevated culinary concepts now available to families from around the world.

Executive Chairman Adam Stewart in his delivery, underscored the legacy and deeprooted connection between the brand and the destination.

“Turks and Caicos is an absolute gift to the world,” said Stewart. “Its beauty, its people and its ability to perform on the world stage make it extraordinary. My grandfather always told me it was one of the most beautiful places on earth. My father came to see it for himself and 30 years later Beaches Turks and Caicos stands as the most successful family resort in this hemisphere.”

Stewart added, “what began as a small hotel has grown from 150 rooms to nearly 900 keys and more than 1,000 rooms because of the vision of our founder and his unwavering belief in Caribbean people. Today we are a team of 20,000 and 97 percent are Caribbean nationals. The Sandals story is a story of belief in what we can achieve together.”

In his keynote address, Premier Charles Washington Misick highlighted the national significance of the investment.

There to welcome the Krupa Family, the first guests to check in at the new Treasure Beach Village were Sandals Resorts’ Executive Chairman, Adam Stewart (left), General Manager for Beaches Turks and Caicos, Deryk Meany (right) and Sesame Street friends Zoe and Grover.

“Today we celebrate the opening of Treasure Beach and something even greater,” said Premier Misick. “This moment reflects a partnership between Sandals and the Turks and Caicos Islands that has been built over decades and strengthened by trust. Treasure Beach Village signals confidence in our country, in our stability and in our tourism product and it sets a new standard of quality and value.”

Integral to the celebration were several of the local artists whose commissioned works now define the character of Treasure Beach Village. From the earliest stages of design, the creative vision for the village centred on capturing the true treasures of the Turks and Caicos Islands through art and storytelling.

Among the standout installations is “Roses of Provo” by Stanford Hanfield, a breathtaking composition of more than 800 hand-cut conch shells transformed into a dramatic showpiece that honours the conch on the national flag and the enduring spirit of the islands. Murals by Ashley Aarons that celebrate local flora and fauna while paying homage to the founder’s love of the Caribbean. Through the lens of Rich McGhie, striking imagery of turtles, beaches and everyday island life captures the people who are the true treasures of Treasure Beach Village. Contributing artists Lucie WintonStubbs, Hezron Henry, Ancy Dorisca, Ayshe Stephen and Victoria Silvera further infuse the spaces with Caribbean soul, texture and authenticity.

Several of these artists were present for the ribbon cutting and were acknowledged for their exceptional contributions.

Following this, the award-winning resort welcomed its first guests to Treasure Beach Village on March 1, greeted by Executive Chairman Adam Stewart, Sandals executives, vibrant team members waving the Turks and Caicos and Jamaican flags, singing, dancing

and inviting families to an experience brimming with island inspiration and exciting ‘Beaches Firsts’.

Suites Designed for Togetherness

The new oceanfront village featuring 101 multibedroom suites, unveils expansive new room categories, blending generous living spaces with the all-inclusive service synonymous with Beaches. Among the standouts are the oceanfront CrystalSky 4-Bedroom Reserve Villas, perched on the sand and unfolding across more than 2,600 square feet over three stories. Accommodating up to 10 guests and designed for elevated family living, the villas include a private pool and a rooftop deck with a telescope. Spanning more than 2,800 square feet over two stories, the Chairman’s Penthouse Suite hosts up to 10 guests in three bedrooms, anchored by a dramatic staircase that connects its expansive living spaces.

Oceanview Two-Story Suites feature twobedroom and three-bedroom layouts with open designs, modern bunk beds, inviting dining nooks and al fresco living rooms designed to capture the sea breeze. A collection of thoughtfully designed Oceanview and Penthouse Concierge Suites welcome up to six

guests with two bedrooms, expansive baths and bunk beds. A Caribbean palette of turquoise, coral and neutrals reflects the surrounding sea and sand, accented by artful touches inspired by life beneath the surface.

Dining That Brings Everyone to the Table

At Treasure Beach Village, six new dining concepts invite families to slow down and linger, including the arrival of Butch’s Island Chop House at a Beaches resort - the beloved Sandals Resorts steakhouse. A tribute to the brand’s late founder, Gordon “Butch” Stewart, the restaurant brings generations together over prime dry age steaks, fresh seafood and an elevated beverage experience for adults, including a mini-martini menu.

A first of its kind for the brand, Pinta Food Hall introduces global flavours across four distinct culinary stations, from smoky tacos and Asian stir-fries to an open-air Italian window and an à la carte grill – plus Beaches’ first-ever live churro station. Featuring Jamaica’s iconic Blue Mountain coffee, BRÜ Coffee Bar serves artisanal coffee by day and transitions into a craft cocktail spot by night.
