In the midst of daily responsibilities, it was a powerful reminder that our people are the heartbeat of this resort. Whether front of house or behind the scenes, every team member contributes to the magic we create for our guests. This initiative was our way of saying: we see your effort, we value your presence, and we are committed to supporting you—not just on the busy days, but always.

SOUTH COAST
Battle of the Kitchens!
This sizzling showdown had more spice than a ghost pepper taco! "The Battle of the Kitchens" at Sandals South Coast brought the heat and a whole lot of hustle in the kitchen as the fiery teams flipped, fried, and flambéed their way through a high-stakes culinary clash. Chicken Dipper’s team may have flown under the radar, but they still served up some finger-lickin’ flavour to clinch third place—proving that even underdogs can rise like a well-kneaded dough. The Croc’s Café snapped up second place, dishing out bites with bite and plating food so good it had the judges wanting more. Their presentation was fierce, their seasoning on point. But it was Team Eleanor’s Maroons who turned up the heat and steamed ahead to seize the crown. With flavours that danced and textures that tangoed, they whisked away the winner’s title in true top-chef style. With pots clanging, ovens blazing, and egos simmering, the Battle of the Kitchens served up drama, deliciousness, and just the right dash of chaos. Same time next year? Bring your A-game—and maybe a fire extinguisher.

A Sweet & Safe Send-Off
After decades of dedicated service, the Sandals South Coast team gathered to bid a heartfelt farewell to two of our most cherished colleagues—Vilma Smith, our steadfast Environmental Health and Safety Manager of 20 years, and Cleve Sutherland, our beloved Pastry Chef who’s sweetened our days for nearly 14. The retirement party was a vibrant celebration filled with good music, delicious food, thoughtful gifts, and moving tributes. Laughter—and a few tears— flowed freely as stories were shared, memories relived, and milestones honoured. It was one final hurrah as a work family—one that perfectly captured the warmth, camaraderie, and deep appreciation felt for Vilma and Cleve. Their legacy will linger in both the safety they championed and the sweet moments they helped create.

Sandals Resorts Salutes Security Teams Across the Region
All across the Caribbean where Sandals and Beaches Resorts operate, the company joined the global observance of International Security Officers' Day on July 24, taking a moment to recognise the dedicated men and women who safeguard its properties, guests, and team members around the clock.
Across all Sandals and Beaches Resorts, as well as its corporate offices, teams paused to show appreciation for the unwavering commitment and professionalism of their Security and Loss Prevention personnel. The day was marked with a range of celebratory gestures, from luncheons and certificates to heartfelt thank-yous and small tokens of appreciation. It was a regional show of gratitude for the valuable officers who work tirelessly to uphold the safety and peace of mind that are hallmarks of the Sandals experience.

One standout moment came at the Sandals Resorts International headquarters in Montego Bay, where long-serving officer Cassandara “Miss Cassie” Morgan was honoured for her 24 years of dedicated service. Having joined the company in 2001, Miss Cassie has been a reassuring and familiar presence at the 5 Kent Avenue corporate office, with a brief stint at Sandals Carlyle in 2003 before returning to SRI in 2010. Known for her warm demeanor and consistent professionalism, she was celebrated with a framed certificate and a bottle of fine wine, personally presented by Mr. James Forbes, Corporate Director of Security & Loss Prevention.
To all our security officers, thank you for standing watch, every day.

Facility Upgrades Continue at Sandals and Beaches Resorts
Since 2023, Sandals Resorts has been on an exciting mission to elevate its team member experience by upgrading staff facilities across the region.
Through state-of-the-art dining areas, modernised restrooms, and refreshed locker rooms, Project Sparkle is transforming spaces where team members relax, recharge, and refuel.
Several resorts across the islands where Sandals and Beaches Resorts operate have already been touched by this initiative. One of the latest to shine is our corporate Marine Services Division, now home to a vibrant new team member dining spot – Captain D’s. This funky, modern space features sleek, contemporary furnishings and a warm, inviting atmosphere. With its wooden finishes and open-air seating, it channels the laid-back

charm of a stylish seaside dive restaurant.
To date, more than a dozen team facilities have been upgraded, with more on the horizon. Work is set to begin soon at our other corporate locations at 5 Kent Avenue and the Procurement Division, with whispers of cool, new names already floating around.
Project Sparkle is more than just an upgrade. It’s a bold statement of how much Sandals values its team members. The full initiative is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
