Though there are several places in San Clemente to grab a hearty breakfast, Antoine’s Café continues to be one of the most popular places with its prime location in downtown and menu of quality foods such as its omelets—one of the top sellers.

“The omelets, that’s what we sell the most,” says owner Antoine Price. “And our (eggs) Benedicts are favorites also.” At Antoine’s, Price boasts, the food is kept fresh and the staff is always friendly, greeting the customers who are starting out their day.

Surfin’ Donuts

donut joint is a San Clemente staple, and it has been family-owned-and-operated since first opening. Surfin Donuts offers a variety of donuts, including French crullers, maple bars and apple fritters—but it’s especially well known for its tiger tail pastries, which sell out quickly. Pedro’s began in 1986 as Orange County s first fish taco stand, founded by a Greek immigrant named Pete. It was an instant hit, and now it’s an institution.
