Lester Arevalo leads ACNA 2007-2008 ACNA held the induction ceremony of its new set of officers for 2007-2008 at the Crowne Plaza, Foster City, on January 20, 2007, led by its President Lester Arevalo. The event was hosted by Rico Javier’s SFSV AA, which celebrated its Induction Ball and Founding Anniversary. Also sworn in that night were the new sets of Officers and Directors of the Librado I. Ureta Foundation (LIUF) led by Bro. Mel Gonzales, Jr. AA representatives from NorCal, South Bay, Midwest-Chicago, Central Valley, SonAlas, EtaAANA and GLA were in attendance. ~ aad

2007 INTERNATIONAL HUMANITARIAN MEDICAL, DENTAL AND OPTICAL MISSION It is a privilege for me to formally communicate with you regarding ACNA’s forthcoming 6th International Humanitarian Medical, Dental and Optical Mission in the Philippines on May 1, 2007 in the town of Amadeo, Cavite and nearby Tagaytay City. The mission features the following: 1.

Operation Tule (Circumcision) 2.

Operation Bukol (Removal of minor cysts) 3.

Operation Bulate (Deworming) 4.

Operation Bunot (Dental) 5.

Operation Mata (Optical) Our APO Brothers and Sisters and friends from the United States, the Philippines and other parts of the world will undertake and join hands to be able to reach out to our lesser fortunate countrymen in the town of Amadeo, Cavite and nearby Tagaytay City. The project is one of the noblest and largest services of our fraternity and sorority that your Alumni Association had faithfully supported in the successful missions that we had in the past and it is a great feeling to have you on board again.

In this regard, I would like to solicit your Association’s support to the cause by giving monetary contributions to be used in this mission. All funds collected will be used to buy medicines, vitamins and other supplies; food and logistics needed to feed all doctors, dentists, nurses and other participants and other monetary support to help the other aspects of the project. We have only about 120 days left and there is urgency to the matter. I would like to request that you act on this appeal the soonest, so that you can send your Alumni Association’s contributions or checks immediately to the following: [See Medical, pg 2]

PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Dear Brothers and Sisters in North America, March is around the corner and two months of my twoyear term shall have passed. My objective in serving you as President of ACNA is to give you what you deserve as APO members, to explore all opportunities for service and to implement them with all due diligence. My objective, as it were, is to run on all cylinders – keep us all busy, utilize our vast reserve of creativeness and achieve something positive. In short, my vision for ACNA is to move forward, to progress rather than to be stagnant.

It is therefore my sincere desire for ACNA to have open lines of communication with all its members – no idea is wrong or unimportant, we welcome them all.

In the meantime, we need to buckle down to work. One project that we should focus on right now is to gather as much donations as we can for our medical dental humanitarian service in Amadeo, Cavite on the occasion of the national convention in Tagaytay City, May 3 - 6, 2007. The International Humanitarian Medical, Optical, and Dental Mission will be on May 1st, 2007, headed by our 1st Vice President, Art Libot. We will also co-sponsor projects such as KAMPOSING and APO LEADERS (training seminars) that will be conducted during the national convention in Tagaytay.

Another project is the exploration of our integration as a part of and a partner to APO Philippines. I exhort everyone to have an open mind about the regionalization of APO in this part of the world. ACNA, whether we like it or not, will be a substantial player in this effort. We can strike a healthy balance between our freedom of association and of our duties to the larger organization of APO. It is not an either/or issue because we can never talk of one organization without the other. The sooner we realize this, the better for our – ACNA’s and APO’s - organizational health.

We will also engage in fundraising projects. A strong organization, like any machinery, needs fuel to run and it can only go so far as the amount of fuel it has in its tanks. Funds are the fuel that enable us to render service, maintain administrative operations, support worthy causes and help alleviate emergent needs. I therefore exhort everybody to start thinking of fundraising projects that can either be on an ACNA-wide or on a local scale, complete with detailed mechanisms and strategies, as well as budgets and timetables.

Finally, we need to professionalize our ways of conducting business. Prior to any meetings, we need to receive, collate, classify and prioritize ideas for implementation. We need to be able to disseminate these ideas widely. Most of all, we need a clear vision of the big picture that we want ACNA to achieve at least for the next two years. My short, medium and long term vision as stated in my platform of government is just a framework within which to work our collective will.

In the immediate term, we need to reorganize in accordance with APO’s CBL. In the short term (2-3 years), we need to establish procedures to support ongoing programs of ACNA in coordination with North American and Philippine AAs as well as support individual AA programs through appointment of committees dedicated to promoting and implementing authorized activities. Invite all existing AAs (including non-member AAs) within the North American Region to interact with ACNA on a continuing basis especially on matters of common interest. Making them members of ACNA would be the ideal goal.

In the longer term (5 years), we need to establish ACNA as an encompassing region that includes all AA’s for professional, social, cultural and economic growth to support the general objectives of APO. As a continuing goal, we need to maintain ACNA as an active partner of APO Philippines in pursuit of leadership, friendship and service. To this end, we need to establish the framework to make this a continuing goal through dedicated funding based on specific and achievable goals administered by non-partisan and professional organizational entities overseen by APO professionals familiar with these issues.

With your help, we will achieve greatness.

AA ACTIVITIES Houston Celebrates APO 81st Anniversary

As usual, The APO 81st founding Anniversary celebration in Houston, Texas was a total blast. After our guest priest, Fr. Vincent Saavedra, who was a grade school classmate of our Incoming President, blessed the food, a slide show was presented displaying all the photos of service projects & fellowships during the developmental year 2005-2006, while the brethren & guests partake of the delicious food ( buffet style).

The formal program was started with Sister Cynthia Lopez, Delta Omega (APO USA) giving her own rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. Then it was followed by the singing of the Lupang Hinirang ( Phil. Natl Anthem), led by yours truly, Bro. Leo Baltazar, Pi. After that, Fr. Vincent Saavedra ( Disciples of Hope) gave a very nice invocation, praising APO and its mission as an organization composed of individuals that are committed to peace and service.

Then, the outgoing President, Bro. Jun Tapay, Pi , after requesting a moment of silence for our recently departed brother Gonz Guzon, Delta, gave his welcome address and also cited all the past Presidents of APO Metro Houston for their contributions to the welfare of the organization and subsequently giving them plaques of appreciation. Plaques of appreciation were also given to Sister Cynthia Lopez, Delta Omega(APO USA) and to Bro. Gordon Nolasco, Theta, for their outstanding contribution to the alumni association.

The coveted Service award was given to Bro. Arthur Medina, Gamma Eta. The Friendship Award was given to both, Bros. Cris Manzano, Epsilon Nu & Rainier Habervo, Gamma Eta. and the Leadership award was given to yours truly, Bro. Leo Baltazar, Pi. Then, I introduced our inspirational speaker, Bro. Francis Bui, Alpha Gamma Zeta ( APO USA) who gave us a very nice perspective on our cardinal principles of Leadership, Friendship & Service.

Then, Bro. Dan Maines, Beta, current ARNA RAD & Past ACNA President, inducted the incoming officers of APO Metro Houston.

Then, closing remarks was given by our new APO MH President, Bro. Veny Velena, Beta, with a plea to help our fellowmen in the Bicol region, who were victims of the recent super typhoon. ( Bro. Sohrab Sardual, Gamma, collected the donations after wards) The formal program was concluded with the singing of our APO Toast song.

APO in Washington DC Area Held its 3rd Induction Ball Ceremony The Alpha Phi Omega (Phils.) District of Columbia Alumni Association, Inc. (APODCAA) held its 3rd Induction Ball last January 13, 2007 at Best Western Hotel in Tysons Corner, Virginia. The occasion was graced by the Philippine Ambassador to United States, Ambassador Willy Gaa who spoke about the valuable services rendered by APODCAA members to the Philippine Embassy and to the Filipino Community in the Washington DC area.

by Bro Ding Gomez, President and Bro Anthony Busog, 1st Vice President. In his message, Bro Lester Arevalo said that the continuing challenge for APO ACNA is to stay united despite the seemingly insurmountable differences amongst APO brothers and sisters. He also emphasized to turn the diversity character of the fraternity to strength and for the members to put the interest of the fraternity above personal interests in the pursuit of the principles and ideals of Alpha Phi Omega.

APO brothers and sisters from New York, New Jersey and Delaware headed by Bro Ruben Laygo, the president of APOGNY also attended the undertaking. Wives, husbands, family members and friends of APODCAA were also present to witness the swearing in of the new officers and to enjoy the fellowship and dancing. APO pins were also given to APODCAA members and visiting brods and sisters. The ceremony was highlighted by the 12 candle-bearing children symbolizing the 12 Jewels of Scout Law.

Not to be outdone were the APO kids with their “ APO is the best - belting contest” which was won by Elma Laciste. The APO MH Dance Idol Contest was won by Jody Sabino.

Of course the party would not be as enjoyable without the Cha-cha dance, Macarena, Swing dance and etc.

Then, the APO MH Band played the rest of the night with guest singers ( Sister Edna Alvarenga, Delta Omega & Sister Sophie Im, Delta Omega ) & guest drummer ( Brother Viney Varughese, Delta Omega ) all from APO USA. The Celebration ended around 4 am with another APO Toast Song, this time the Delta Omega version.

Thank you to all who made this celebration a success, and thank you to all the brethren from Delta Omega, Alpha Gamma Zeta, Sigma Pi And Alpha Gamma Omega for gracing this momentous occassion.

APO DONATES TO GAWAD KALINGA

Charity begins at home. This is the mantra of the newly-elected president, Bro. Carlos”Caloy” Ebalo, of the APO-Alumni Association of San Diego, CA (APO-A ASD) .

The thrust of his presidency is geared towards donating a portion of our stateside blessings and giving it back to the motherland, the Philippines, in the form of educational aid and humanitarian relief..

During the 13th APO-AASD Anniversary and Induction of Officers for 2007-2008 on December 9, 2006 , Bro. Caloy(Alpha Chapter ‘78-B) announced his flagship project: the APO-AASD Scholarship Program. The aim of this program is to financially support scholastically outstanding but poor students from grade school and high school and, eventually, through college.

The first scholarship beneficiary is a 7-year old Grade 2 student, Keren Lois Casidsid, of the Christianhood Learning School in Dasmarinas, Cavite . Keren is the daughter of Cavitenos, Roy and Elsa Casidsid.

APO -AASD Secretary, Bro. Alex Nuestro(Delta Xi Chapter ‘87), and Program Coordinator, Bro. Edwin Apostol(Zeta Delta Chapter‘81-A), manage the fledgling program that is projected to expand to include high school and college students in years to come.

Alpha Phi Omega Phils. Inc. recently donated P200,000.00 to Gawad Kalinga for the construction of a health center in St Ignatius GK Village in Liloan, Leyte.

The health center will benefit the victims of the Guinsaugon landslide. Funds for the project were generously provided by the APO Alumni Council of North America (APO-ACNA).

Groundbreaking of the site will be on March 1, 2007. Manpower for the construction of the Center will be provided by APO-Southern Leyte. Answering to GLA’s call for a worthwhile monthly service and to foster solidarity, members and their families led by Bro. Mark “Wangbu” Guerrero and Sis.Michelle Monasterio held a clean-up service at the Ballona Wetlands in Playa del Rey on February 10, 2007 in an effort to help preserve the ecosystem.

Christmas Dinner in Burnaby Youth Custody Centre ( Burnaby, BC) December 14, 2006..

This is a Christmas Dinner given for the teenagers (criminals) who are in custody in the Burnaby Youth Detention Centre.

This Christmas dinner is being organized by Ms. Evelyn Florendo for almost 24 years now . She will solicit from sponsor, cooks, buy individual presents for the teenagers , find guest speakers and most of all find volunteers to help her out serve the food for this Christmas Dinner. For some of this Kid, this is the only Christmas Dinner and Christmas present they will received.

Dance For A Cause 2007 The Alpha Phi Omega International Alumni Association of British Columbia hosted a Valentine’s Party in Renfrew Park Community Centre in Vancouver last February 10, 2007.

The dinner and dance was successfull . There were 220 people that party all night. Brothers and Sisters donated gifts for the door prizes. A 50/50 draw was a hit.

ACNA IHMDO Updates The fundraising campaign to support the International Humanitarian, Medical, Dental & Optical Mission on May 1, 2007 in Amadeo, Cavite, has reached $3,425.00 as of March 5th, according to Bro. Ferdie Yambot. Deadline for monetary donations is on April 15th. Contact Bro. Ferdie if you wish to make generous contributions.

Meanwhile, a “balikatan” type of sorting, packing and strapping of relief goods is scheduled on March 17th in Carson City to be attended by representatives of AAs from San Diego, South Bay and Greater LA. If you want to get rid of your or your family’s pre-loved clothing, shoes, blankets and kids’ toys for a noble cause, please do not hesitate to contact Bro. Alexis.

Deadline for relief goods donations is on March 15th.

ACNA is less than four weeks away from holding its first Council Meeting for the term 2007-2008 in Chicago, Illinois.

The AA from Midwest Chicago is sponsoring the meeting to coincide with its Induction Ball on March 31st. ~TNB Staff

ACNA ACNA RESOLUTION 2005-01 : Resolved, as it is hereby resolved that the program of activities for administrative years 2005-2006 as presented by the President be, as it hereby is approved and adopted. Further, that the mechanics and logistics of programs and activities that can now be implemented, be, as they hereby are approved and adopted. Still further, that the mechanics and logistics of programs and activities that needs further studies, be, as they hereby are, approved and adopted in principle.

The President reported that on the previous night’s meeting of the Board of Directors (BOD), the BOD passed a resolution (BOD) Resolution 2005-02, voiding the resolution passed in Las Vegas, NV on October 16, 2004. The action of the BOD, in effect rescinded the 2004 BOD resolution in the Las Vegas special meeting and revived Council Resolution 2004-001 (passed in Vancouver), until said Council resolution is rescinded and /or repealed on the next convention proper. Upon motion by Francis Cuvin and duly seconded by Jun Tapay, the…..as follows: ACNA Resolution 2005-02 : Resolved as it is hereby resolved that the BOD Resolution 200502 as presented is hereby approved and adopted by the Council.

ACNA Resolution 2005-03 : Resolved, as it is hereby resolved that the proposed budget of the President for the administrative years 2005-2006 is approved and adopted by the Council.

ACNA Resolution 2005-04 : Resolved as it is resolved that APO (Phil.) Alumni Council of North America gives its full support to the “Yes for Peace Project”.

In the matter of ARNA: Dan Maines, representing ARNA in the North American Region, took the floor and explained that the function of ARNA is to facilitate the administrative functions of APO Philippines in North America; that it is an administrative arm of APO Phils.; that the interim officers are acting in temporary capacities until such time as elections can be held in accordance with the APO Phils. CBL. Dan Maines (ARNA): What the Philippines wants us to do, and we have to make sure na yung mga issuance and payments of IDs, wala ng hocus pocus katulad ng nakaraan. Yan ang gusto ng administration ngayon.

Council Resolution No. 2006-01: Resolved, as it is hereby resolved, that ACNA disburses $6,150.00 to the Kita-Kits/Biennial Convention in Universal City in Los Angeles, CA hosted by the Alumni Association of Greater Los Angeles, to subsidize the budget and minimize costs for delegates and participants to the convention. * Need to study this and get the opinion of the ACNA BOD Council Resolution No. 2006-02: Resolved, as it is hereby resolved, that the appointment of the members of the Comelec for the election of officers for the 2007-2008 term be, as it is hereby is, confirmed as follows: Erwin Carracedo (SFSV)Chairman, Claro Bermudez (Montreal) - Member and Gordon Nolasco (Metro Houston) – Member. Resolved further, as it is hereby further resolved, that the Election Code implemented in the year 2000 elections of officers be adopted, as it is hereby adopted, for implementation in the 2006 election of Officers. *Recommendations from the different AA presidents should be submitted to the ACNA President by the second meeting in Vancouver.

INCORPORATION Cesar Garingan reported that the Council’s application for incorporation in Nevada did not go through because of some technical errors. Patrick Afan was tasked to follow up on the incorporation and to report on the status of the same at the next Council Meeting.

We still encountered difficulties in obtaining paperworks from the Nevada office, which made it difficult to fix the problem.

ACNA 1st VP Lester Arevalo with permission from ACNA President Cesar Garingan found another way to Incorporate ACNA in another State.Ruffy Ignacio assisted in Incorporating ACNA in the State of Washignton.

Council Resolution No. 2006-03: Whereas, ACNA holds its election of officers coincident with the Biennial Convention.

Whereas, the proper endorsement of candidates has been a critical issue every election and had caused controversies system-wide, especially for members with dual affiliation where these controversies tend to create divisiveness among the General Membership.

Resolved therefore, as it is hereby resolved, that in the interest of promoting cohesiveness, cooperation, and solidarity, endorsements of ACNA candidates in biennial conventions shall be by the mother alumni associations of said candidates. For members with dual affiliations, the mother alumni associations shall be the alumni associations where said members have their residences or domiciles.

Resolved further, as it is hereby further resolved, that for purposes of definitions, the mother alumni association of a candidate for elective position in ACNA shall be where the candidate is domiciled or where he has his permanent or official residence.

Council Resolution No. 2006-04: Resolved, as it is hereby resolved, that the entitlement of an Associate Member be tabled to be taken on the 2006 Convention floor for a special order of the day on the plenary session.

Council Resolution No. 2006-05: Resolved, as it is hereby resolved, that a Constitutional Review Committee be created to draft proposed amendments to the

ACNA CBL. Resolved further, as it is hereby further resolved, that said committee, shall be empowered to make proposals to be submitted to APO Philippines for changes in the APO Philippines CBL pertaining to ACNA-ARNA matters.

4TH Meeting ACNA Convention COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 2006-07: Whereas, ACNA Resolution 004-001 known as the “Vancouver Resolution”, ratified on September 4, 2004 in British Columbia, Canada, caused confusion amongst brethren, both here and abroad.

Wherefore, it is hereby resolved that the Vancouver Resolution is rescinded.

Ed Santos of AA Toronto raised the issue of the definition of Associate Member as defined in the APO Philippines CBL. He further informed the body that all members of Toronto warned everyone that the recruitment of Associate Members had been abused by other associations so that there are more associate members than regular members. These associate members also were given the right to vote and hold positions in the said association. He urged the help of the ACNA Council to put a stop this and that Toronto further sought the help of ACNA to bring this up to the National Executive Board in Manila and included in the agenda of the Tagaytay Biennial Convention next year.

President Pete Romero of Toronto also informed the body that they have sent a letter of protest on this regard and that they had already received a reply from COME Chairman Boy Lopez to study the matter.

At this point, Jun Laset suggested that Toronto should move speedily on this by writing the Reference Committee in Manila to immediately consider its proposal and be included in the agenda for the next Biennial Convention in Tagaytay City.

Mel Adriano, Regional Director of the National Capital Region in Metro Manila spoke on the process of amending the APO Philippines CBL by writing the Reference Committee headed by Chairperson Celia Valdez who is coming to the United States.

The GLA Proposal on the definition of “Mother Association” had been tabled for the next Council Meeting. The Committee was enjoined to study further the proposal because of technicalities that were brought to the attention of the Committee.

The President delivered his State of the Council Address. He made his vow to vigorously pursue a strong and unified ACNA because he believed that to be an instrument of change and progress, we need to be of one mind and act as one to maximize our strength, our manpower and our resources. As part of his campaign promises, he exerted all his effort to define ACNA’s relevance under APO Philippines and that ACNA will be functioning as it has in the past without restrictions or undue influence from APO Philippines, with our own resources of revenue which we can disburse as we see it fit and our own programs and activities in the pursuit of our avowed tenets of Leadership, Friendship and Service. He further said that our ties with APO Philippines is not a restricting influence but a positive challenge and a partner in progress and in service. He declared that we have added another milestone to our being and the path we have taken was not an easy one but we have to continue to endure for as long as we united and believe in ourselves and the nobility of our purpose.

Eight (8) Resident brothers and sisters - members of different committees EXCERPT: The Service Project will be staged at the school premises of the St. Mary Magdalene Parish Church in Amadeo, Cavite. The above project will concentrate on the surgical aspects such as Operation Tule, Bukol and Deworming to render quality service. The dental and optical services will go on as earlier planned. Bro. Ogie Bayas will conduct earlier (at least 2 weeks before) pre-screening of patients and get list of possible patients in order to have a more effective and efficient system of delivering service.

The budget amounting to Pesos250,000.00 was presented to the committee and will be provided by APO ACNA. The proposed budget will cover medicines, surgical supplies, dental supplies, food and drinks for the volunteers, t-shirts for the volunteers, awards and certificates, advertising materials, transportation and others as needed. It was requested that said amount be provided to APO Philippines as early as possible. I advised everyone that although the said amount is agreed in principle, it will still be subject to the approval of the ACNA Board on its 1st Quarterly Council Meeting in Chicago on March 30-April 1.

The Organizing Committee assured the body that everything is ready during the Mission Day inclusive of availability of volunteers courtesy of APO MAFI and APO DAP, pre-registration by resident brothers and sisters, preparation of food and drinks courtesy of APO Tagaytay, marshalls and security by APO Alumni of Sigma Chapter, packing of used clothes and stuff toys by Sis. Sallie Licauco and fellowship and socials by Bro. Davy Flaminiano of APO Tagaytay.

It was pointed out that constant communication be maintained among Bro. Ogie Bayas, Bro. Mel Adriano, Bro. Ernie Alcanzare and Bro. Art F. Libot.

I took the opportunity to thank Bro. Mel Adriano, Bro. Jimmy De Castro and Bro. Ernie Alcanzare for organizing and inviting me to the meeting and made my visit to Manila a productive and fruitful one, with respect to the mission. Minutes of the Meeting of the APO (Phils.) Alumni Council of North America held at Universal City Hilton, Los Angeles, California on September 2-3, 2006 PART I - CONVENTION OPENING CEREMONIES Art Rivera, Moderator, of the host association formally opened the 8th Biennial Convention and 4th Quarterly Council Meeting for the administrative term 2005-2006.

Toti Ayo delivered the invocation with prayers asking the guidance of the Divine Providence to make the Council Meeting a successful and fruitful one and ask for strength and determination to continue building a strong foundation for every Alumni Association with the support of our friends and families, ACNA is here to stay and will take care of itself.

Art Libot, ACNA Secretary, introduced the different Alumni Associations and delegates and acknowledge the presence of distinguished guests and friends.

Francis Franco, Convention Chairman, delivered the welcome address and he hopes that everyone will make the most exciting experience during the 3-day convention. He urge everyone to commit and conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of designations determined to walkout of the hall filling accomplished and grateful for the opportunity, precious time and resources of the Convention.

Ferdie Yambot, President of Greater Los Angeles, thanked everyone for his/her presence and promised to instill the greatest sense of social consciousness and social justice to enrich, to nourish and to sustain each other.

Mel Adriano, Regional Director of the National Capital Region from the Philippines addressed the delegates. He informed everyone that he is the representative of the National Council in the Philippines and reiterate the importance of this year’s ACNA Convention. He also showed power point presentations about many activities and projects in the Philippines. He wished all the delegates and the candidates the best of luck.

PART II - PLENARY SESSION/BUSINESS MEETING a) The meeting was formally opened at 9:30 a.m. by Cesar Garingan, President, presiding. b) The Secretary certified the body that there was a quorum. c) The Secretary presented the Agenda of the Meeting (Attachment 1) for adoption by the Council.

After motion duly made and seconded, the Agenda was approved and adopted.

The President introduced the Parliamentarian, Allen Wong, ICAPO Director, to explain the procedures.

Allen Wong defined the rules to govern the meeting and emphasized that the Roberts Rules of Order shall apply in the conduct of the meeting. He gave an abbreviated version of the Parliamentary Procedure and the House Rules. The Council President is the Meeting Chair and Allen Wong is the Parliamentarian to help maintain a smooth flow of discussions and/or presentations of motions during the meeting. He also affirmed the appointment of Vic Ronan as Parliamentarian at the floor to help in the order of business. d) The Presiding Officer announced that whoever is ready to present his power point presentations will report first. President Cesar Garingan was given a standing ovation by the delegates after his address. h) The President reported on the financial standing (See attachment) of the Council in lieu of Bong Manuel, Treasurer, who was absent. i) Other Matters 1. The Secretary introduced the President to present the Charter to the newest member of the Council, Alumni Association of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The Presiding Officer called on President Ed Failanga and the members of AA of Mississauga to come forward and accept the Charter. It was an emotional ceremony that was witnessed by the members of the Board, the Executive Officers and the Delegates. He further thanked the AA of Mississauga on the way they have performed and carried out the obligation to fulfill the requirements of a member association as embodied in the provisions of Article 5 of ACNA CBL. He wished them success in carrying on the tradition.

Ed Failanga thanked everyone for embracing them in the Council and assured everyone that AA of Mississauga will continue to carry out the ideals and visions of the Council and will always cooperate in every way possible to see the success in the future.

4. Casting of Ballots and Counting of Votes were implemented by the COMELEC’s Chairman Erwin Carracedo of AA SFSV, Claro Bermudez of AA Montreal and Gordon Nolasco of AA Metro Houston.

5. COMELEC Chairman Erwin Carracedo proclaimed the incoming ACNA Officers for the term 2007-2008 as follows: PRESIDENT Lester Arevalo 1st Vice President Art F. Libot 2nd Vice President Jun De Castro Auditor Melissa Nario 6. President-Elect Lester Arevalo delivered his acceptance speech.

7. President Cesar Garingan thanked the members of the COMELEC for the invaluable services they have rendered in ensuring for the smooth conduct of the elections.
