Come and learn some basic sewing techniques such as sewing machine operation, simple pattern reading and simple sewing projec t construc tion. We will prac tice threading your machine, straight line stitching, keeping a seam allowance, pinning and cutting out a pattern. Taught by professional firefighters, par ticipants learn skills including: First Aid, CPR, exit drills, fire ex tinguisher use, disaster preparedness, and home safety. In addition to the prac tical skills they can use ever y day, par ticipants learn what it’s like to be a firefighter by ex tinguishing fire with fire hoses, proper lifting techniques for moving ladders and hose, hose management, and they even get to climb the 100 foot tall ladder! The camp is designed for beginners and young golfers who want to learn and improve their golf skills and focus on the fundamentals of the game. Your child will learn the proper techniques for putting, chipping, full swing, as well as the rules and etiquette of golf. Emerald Hills Golf Course staff and Pro believes the best way to teach your child is through training. That’s why we close our course to public and member golfers during the Junior Golf camp. Each day our counselors will bring your children to different areas on our course that will provide a unique experience that will enrich both their golfing skills and camp experience. At the end of the camp the campers will receive an Emerald Hills T-shir t, golf handouts and a cer tificate for passing Emerald Hills School of Golf. Emerald Hills Jr. Golf Afte C C Thi f h program is a continuation of the firs 12:30 and will go until 5:00pm. At 1 program will meet up and be asked for the day. They will have a choice our pool (cer tified lifeguards on duty work on their golf skills. If they choos pool we will have a counselor bring which they will be able to have fun and swim till 3:00pm If they choose to continue to golf an instruc tor will take them back onto the course to play a round of golf. This is a great w y to put what they have learned that day to the test and at the same time fix cer tain areas that still need some work. Both the swimmers and golfer will meet up at 3:15pm on the deck in front of the pro shop where they will have a 20-minute snack time. After snacks, it will be free time where they can relax on the deck or golf in the prac tice area

Welcome aboard! Give your youngster the gift of adventure, independence, and learning a skill they can use for a lifetime. Our program is designed to instruct the young sailing enthusiast in basic sailing skills and boating safety. Through a combination of lec ture, land drills, and on the water prac tice, we provide instruc tion on the components of a boat, knot tying, how to set up and sail a small boat (8 ft. Optimist), points of sail, how to handle the wind, docking, and proper boating; safet y and etiquette. Afternoon only option also available. If a camp is cancelled by the Parks & Recreation Depar tment, a full refund will be issued to the customer.
There is no charge to transfer your child between camps if notice is given to the Parks & Recreation D epar tment at least t wo weeks prior to camp star t date, provided there is space available
Camps cancelled by par ticipant at least two weeks prior to the camp star t date will receive a refund less a $10 refund fee per camp. No refunds will be issued within two weeks of the camp star t date or after camp begins.
However, your satisfac tion matters most to us and refunds will be considered. Par ticipants who are dissatisfied with a program for any reason must fill out a program evaluation prior to receiving a refund so we can make the class better in the future Refunds will be evaluated on a case by case basis by the program super visor
