There’s an energy coming back to our city, and I can certainly feel it in
this issue. This issue is filled with stories of women who aren’t afraid to

When I met our talented and driven cover woman, Ally Brooke, I was
immediately taken by her warmth and effervescent joy. Although Ally has
toured all around the world with her former singing group, Fifth Harmony,
she was incredibly gracious and made our team feel like we’d been friends
our whole lives. I know you’ll be rooting for our hometown girl after
you read her story of always pushing herself to do more while staying
grounded with her family and beloved hometown.
I was fascinated to read the stories of four female news anchors and how
they followed their passion along very different paths that led them to San
