ENVELOPE OPTIMISATION

Envelopeoptimizationwasdone by optimizingtheglazing, wall, androofenvelope.Multipleenvelopesweresimulatedusing design-builderandenvelopeshavingsuitableU-Values as per SuperECBCStandards as well as locallyavailablematerialswere chosen to reduceheatloss by up to 75%.

The daylightoptimizationwasdone in multiplestages.Firstlymultiplewindow-wall ratioswerecompared in terms of daylightingandheatingload. WWR 30, 40, 50 are compared, and WWR 40 is chosen as it gaveasubstantialincrease in daylighting withoutmuchheatloss in glazing.WWR 50 wasavoided as it hadhighamounts of heatlossthroughglazing.AftertheWWRwasfixed, theshadingdevice is designed foreveryorientation.
