Data Center
Location: Elizabeth Macarthur Dr after Norbrik Dr, Bella Vista, NSW 2153 Team Members: Jianming Lin & Xueyi Fu Digital are changing the future of mankind As early as 3000 BC, the birth of the earliest library changed the process of human civilization. In the modern era of Big Data Evolution, the Data Center has also become the 'Library' of human civilization in the 21st Century. We are experiencing the third revolution in Human history "The revolution of knowledge". The accelerated transition of the human world to a "digital society" is gradually weakening the importance of the material environment. If this trend continues to develop, "memorial building", a materialistic symbol with high recognition and distinctive appearance characteristics, will soon be replaced by a functional infrastructure, that is, a general Center (i.e. data center) composed of the power grid system, which stores a "virtual world" in physical form. It is "Big Data", an eternal world without identities and feelings.
Solemn and respectful, to announce the new mission of the data center in this era, it needs to jump out of the common impression of science fiction and futurism about the data center. In the past, knowledge storage was selective and limited. The transformation to digital data and the dynamics of trends and innovation have led to the "shortening" of knowledge "life". If so, the data center provides unlimited storage space and a "stage" for updating information. The V47 data center is a modern experimental project dedicated to tracing the commemorative characteristics of libraries. By coexisting with the surrounding site conditions, it builds a future 'Library' with low energy consumption and high efficiency

FORM
The V47 Data Center is located in Bella Vista, Sydney, with a humid subtropical climate. The center relies on an innovative Water Mist Natural Cooling System to reduce the temperature by condensing mist in the form of a spray, enhancing the heat dissipation of the condenser to withstand the high temperature and sunlight exposure in Summer. Following the wind rose, the data center expands the two wings of the Database to face the wind direction of maximum air volume (SW & SE).
LEVEL 3 LEVEL 2 LEVEL 1 The Entrance Hall is the only entrance and exit of the Data center, which is convenient for the security system to monitor and secure the entrance and exit personnel of the building
WATER RECYCLE SYSTEM (Skyspace) The Skyspace located in the Entrance Hall recycles rainwater to the central reservoir through the inclined roof, delivers the rainwater to the Water Pump System through the pipelines, providing water supply for the Water Mist System of the top floor server room.
In the era of Big Data, with the increasing demand for the data center, to ensure the usual operation of the data storage service, the high heat radiation brought by the data cabinet needs to be cooled at a constant temperature. The relative problems about high energy consumption and high demand need to be solved by this data center.
HALL
The higher the floor, the higher the security level
The V47 consists of two parts - Entrance Hall and Data Terminal (Database), the whole building is like a central nervous system. The entrance Hall consists of central equipment and facility monitoring neurons composed of a series of building volumes with public functions. By lifting the data terminal, the server room storing data is not affected by the terrain, creating a large flat and efficient space, which is conducive to the maintenance and safety of the equipment.

For observers, space has established an equal dialogue relationship, narrowed the dialogue to people, and dynamically displayed the concept of a "21st-century library".

Data Rack Arrangement Air Outlet
The natural ventilation from the outside is squeezed through the concave Air Inlet to form a high-speed airflow. The hot air flow is cooled by the cold water mist ejected from the contact pipe at the top. In the process, there will be a waterproof compartment to filter water for the cool and wet air. The cool and dry air flow will drive the rotation of the blower to transport the airflow into the internal space for cooling.
To effectively discharge the preheating of the indoor out of the server room, The Innovent block is a new patent-protected concrete louver ventilation block. It allows for the air to flow through a wall while inhibiting the passage of precipitation (such as horizontal or wind-driven rain) through its unique and innovative design features.
Hot aisle/cold aisle layout design for server racks and other computing equipment in a data center. The goal of a hot aisle/cold aisle configuration is to conserve energy and lower cooling costs by managing airflow.
The Innovent block Designed in Trinidad and Tobago
The whole Building contains 75 Serve Rooms. Each Serve Room has 32 Data Racks, According to this, the whole building can reach the maximum volume of 2400 racks.

War Memorial The memorial Space is the reflection of soldiers' life on the battery. Walking with the History of Boora Point Battery, the War Memorial is bringing this history close to the people. An organic form like tree roots packing stands on the cliff, entrance to a cave open is attracted people to explore the inner space. Integrate with the structure of position deployment during World War II, a series of spaces is applied to the current buildings, in form of a metaphor for the historical traces of WW II.

Location: The Goods Line, Ultimo NSW 2007 Team Members:Jianming Lin, Xueyi Fu & Angelo Gauci IN RESPONSE TO THE STUDENT LIVING IN AN AGE OF HYPERPRODUCTIVITY, WHERE EVERYDAY, ACTIVITIES CONSTANTLY BLUR INTO ONE ANOTHER, OUR PROPOSAL SEEKS TO REINTRODUCE THE NOTION OF RITUAL INTO STUDENT HOUSING AT THE SCALE OF THE UNIT AND THE WHOLE BUILDING THROUGH AN EXPLORATION OF THE PATHWAY. RATHER THAN LOOK TO CREATE HYPER-EFFICIENT ROOMS AS FOUND IN OUR PRECEDENTS OF CLAUDE PARENT’S MAISON DE L’IRAN, LE CORBUSIER’S MAISON DU BRASIL AND SCHUTTE- LIHOTZKY’S HOUSING FOR THE WORKING WOMAN, WE ARE TAKING THE OPPOSITE APPROACH, TO LOOK AT CREATING HOUSING THAT ALLOWS THE STUDENT TO MEANDER THROUGH THE BUILDING AND THEIR APARTMENT. TAKING PRECEDENT FROM ANNE HOLTROP’S TRAIL HOUSE, TOYO ITO’S U HOUSE AND SEJIMA’S VILLA IN THE FOREST WE HAVE DESIGNED A COLLECTION OF APARTMENTS THAT EMPHASISE MOVEMENT FROM ONE PROGRAM TO ANOTHER.

THE MOVEMENT OF PUBLIC TO PRIVATE FORCES INDIVIDUALS TO TRAVERSE THROUGH SPACES WITH OTHER INDIVIDUALS OCCUPYING THEM, BEFORE BEING ABLE TO REACH THEIR OWN PRIVATE SPACES IN ORDER TO FORCE INTERACTION BETWEEN RESIDENTS AND CREATE A MORE SOCIABLE HOUSING SPACE.
VERTICALLY, THE BUILDINGS FLOORS START FROM GROUND LEVEL, WHICH IS DESIGN TO BE AS A THOROUGHFARE FOR BOTH RESIDENTS AND THE PUBLIC, AND IS OCCUPIED BY VARIOUS SHOPS AND CAFES WHICH PAVE THE CIRCULATION OF THE FLOOR. THE NEXT FLOOR UP IS A GATHERING AND STUDY SPACE FOR RESIDENTS ONLY, BECOMING SLIGHTLY MORE PRIVATE, WHILE ALSO HOLDING A COURTYARD GARDEN FOR RESIDENTS LACKING GREENERY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CITY. THE NEXT STAGE OF CIRCULATION ARE THE MULTI ROOM FLOORS WHICH ARE ALSO THE LONG TERM FLOORS. AS THE INDIVIDUALS ON THE FLOORS SHARE PUBLIC SPACES WITH OTHERS IN THEIR OWN ROOMS, AND PLAN TO STAY LONGER THEN OTHERS, THE FLOORS ARE DEEMED TO BE MORE PUBLIC THAN THE FOLLOWING SINGLE ROOMED FLOORS.

Utopia
Residence
Location: 447-456 Wattle St, Ultimo NSW 2007 Team Members:Jianming Lin, Xueyi Fu & Jiahe Chen Australian architecture is rooted in this land. From the consideration of environment and climate to the country's unique cultural background, Australia's architectural environment is defined by history and local environment. Due to the expansion of Sydney City, poor house maintenance and ageing old houses and environmental defects caused by the terrible design (dim light, narrow space and noise of adjacent space). What the designer needs to do is to redefine the Victorian Sydney townhouse, melt the foreign cultural factors in the global cultural background, and create a group of multi-cultural, multi-functional and diversified house combinations by learning from the design elements of the original house.
Although these terrace houses meet the needs of urban residents for compact and independent houses, they still can not get rid of the negative factors of people's old and unsafe houses. This is also the reason why we want to propose the design of a new generation of Australian Terrace houses. Exterior Render of Terrace Houses
