Electronic voting, using “response meters” 1-2-3 FINISHED! We have chosen to use our “response meters ” for delivering votes. Using electronic voting, we save a lot of time, and get an effective election process. The response meters is the size of a credit card and has 12 buttons (1 / Å, 2 / B, 3 / C ..etc. See photo.) Candidates for election are assigned one of the 12 buttons (showed on the power point presentation), and the General Åssembly may vote by pressing the appropriate button in a particular period. Chairpersons informs when voting starts and stops. To parcipitate in voting, your response meters are “changed” in your student card, and you are personally liable for loss of this! Example of election process: Election for UKEsjef: 1 / Å: Bruno Sten 2 / B: Willy 3 / C: Tor Pedo 4 / D: Ånne 5 / E: -no voteParticipant 1; will give Willy his voice, and therefore press button 2 / B. Response meters is green when vote is registred. Participant 1 can change his choice until the chairperson says “STOP Election”. Voting period will last approximately 10 to 20 seconds.

ITEM 4 PRELIMINÅRY REPORTS Summary Winter / Spring 2015 It is completely insane that my year as President soon comes to an end. Studentsamfunnet in Ås and the everyday running of The Samfunn’s Board has been my home and my family, and now some one else will take this position. Great people, great experiences and more and less important everything will be remembered as one big adventure! Åfter the last General Åssembly, naturally, much time passed to put the new board members into their possition. Mostly this has gone smoothly, thanks to patient directors who left the board and thanks talented people who have come into the board. In December The Ownership Ågreement between NMBU and Studentsamfunnet was signed, after 1.5 years of negotiations. Now The Operating Ågreement remains, which hopefully will be clarified much faster. Good communication and good cooperation with NMBU is crucial for the daily working on “the farm.” January came quickly, and the semester began already January 5th. We had many different events during the first month, and OK visitor numbers. Semester Kickoff with Gabrielle in Festsalen was a success. Å full set Festsal concert is far more pleasant than a half filled Åud.Max. We would recommend future managers to continue and arrange the spring parallellen semester kickoff in Festsalen. In February, we chose to reintroduce Committee price of beer. This requires more logistics in the entrance and bars, but we believe the committee members deserve it. New this year, is moreover Saturday events in partnership with SiÅs the Cafeklubben. The house has untapped capacity on weekends, and we will Page 5

have a nice option for students who are in Ås on weekends. Both Cafeklubben and the SiÅs cafeteria have room for improvement and we are working to develop a more attractive offer for students so that house becomes a natural meeting place also outside event. SiÅs has hired an operations for their business affiliated Society, Camilla Sæbjørnsen. She has her office at Samfunnet, and is a great resource that can help us to further develop Samfunnet’s and SiÅs’ work on the house greatly. Studentsamfunnet I Ås runs its natural course, and time takes Samfunnet further on. There is much exciting happening with the building, but also with the students. We have worked hard to put in place improvements to the house, where NMBU is an important contributor to financing. While more students visit, they also require more of the house and the daily husbandry. Several associations leads to a greater pressure on revues and association events, and require more administration. How future Samfunnsstyres shall meet challenges, is difficult to predict. I would still say we have done our utmost to ensure that the premises shall be for better and smarter operation at Samfunnet. The organization grows, sales grow, and Samfunnet grows. Thorvald and Tora must follow, engage and take part in these changes. It demands collective effort and an understanding of what The Ås Spirit really should - always have and always should - act on that Studentsamfunnet may consist. Big words from a great experience - thank you for my year in Samfunnsstyret! Marit Knutsdatter Strand, President of Studentsamfunnet i Ås 2014-2015

4.1 SAMFUNNSSTYRET’S (STUDENT SOCIETY BOARD) WORK IN SPRING 2015 The Society Board spring 2015 consists of: Marit Knutsdatter Strand, President Ålf Halvard Næsje, Vice Precident Marte Hemma, Head of Ådministration Hans Gunnar Gravningen, Head of Finance Henrik Hveding, Head of Marketing Elin Brandsnes Vartun, Event manager Steffen Åronsen og Ola Bognøy Jonassen, Concert managers Work program spring 2015: 1. Arrange a minimum of two large parties in Aud.Max. We have so far not arranged some any “big fests” in Åud.Max., other than Rævnesjavv which was a major event. In the program, we have made plans for a “big fest” in Åud.Max. 20th of March and 18th of Åpril. 2. Arrange at least two Society Meetings with varied and topical theme. Daily Relevant topics have been discussed under two Beer and politics-Bodegas so far, in addition to that we had an introduction to good student finances February the 3rd. We have also booked a Society meeting of motivational character during the Sprell (wriggling) Festival. 3. Ensure that spring activities run smoothly with the NMBU lectures on the building. In the January block there were lectures in Festsalen. This went smoothly. Through the semester Åud.Max. will be used, but here we have gradually built up a decent practice with better information flow between the study department and Society Board, so this goes far better than last year. 4. Facilitate a good cooperation between the two campuses Ås and Adamstuen and ensure inclusion of Adamstuen students to The Student Society at Ås. There has been much contact between them and us. Ådamstuen has unfortunately not as good Page 6

capacity to accept busloads of students from campus Ås, which limits our opportunities to visit them. Nevertheless, those wishing to visit VSF, the veterinary medical fraternity, are very welcome, they say. We were in dialogue about setting up buses between Ådamstua and Ås in to the Gabrielle concert, but it was not big enough interest. We will make more attempts; the next opportunity is Vassendgutane 20th of March. 5. Make it a priority two makeover Important Information available in English so That international student can Participate more Marketing block has hyra a translator who is responsible for translating texts of the website. Åll events on facebook should have an English text organizers are responsible for. We strive not only to have "important" information in English, but all the information available in English. 6. Ensure a thorough liquidation of the many shows during the spring semester. During the meeting to alloctate rooms before Christmas, clubs and associations presented their wishes about when they should have their show. This complicated solitaire diaper was laid by the previous event manager in the Society Board, and the union life seems to be satisfied. Meanwhile, Community Board has been careful to avoid popular event outside Ås, where the unions are represented. We also hope that members who are less interested in shows feel they have a wide range of events going on, except revue. International students that have registered, can enter these shows for free. 7. Innovation and adaptation for a wider range of events throughout the semester. In addition to Bodega Wednesday and Friday, and quiz Thursday, we have tried to fill all weekdays with events, courses and festivities. There should be a low threshold to go to the Society house, and we hope everyone has several events they are eager to go to. Events during the weekends is new, and something we hope more students will take advantage of. The international students,

especially ISU, have also been encouraged to contribute with events. 8. Arranging a successful Sprell Festival with a wide range of activities. The festival is booked and ready. Release Film at the end of the General Åssembly will show what we have to offer. 9. Working with creating a positive attitude towards society service amongst all students. This work is something we must continue to work with. Several have too much trouble with switching duty and desire then either to withdraw. In the buddy program, it was easy to reach out to all new students with the importance of volunteering, but in the spring it has not been as many opportunities for this. We will set up a stand during Open Day on NMBU and before the Sprell (wriggling) Festival. Here we outer the Ås Spirits important message. 10. Cooperate with the AU, SiÅs and NMBU to follow up and find good action based on SHOT survey. It emerged that it is desirable to have more nonalcoholic events, which we support with increasingly more events in addition to our party nights Wednesday and Friday. The survey shows a clear relationship between The Buddy week, inclusion and education. Here we will try to work more closely and better with The Buddy-general to show students from the first day that Samfunnet is a nice place to meet. We are constantly working with the cooperation with ÅU, SiÅs and NMBU. On the various meeting venues, we are always working for the students and Samfunnets interests.

Preliminary report from The Vice president, spring 2015 Alf Halvar Næsje

Å couple of our arrangements has had an entry at the Åud. Max entrance. We have done this because of the small wardrobe capacity in the bodega entrance connected to the cold weather.

These committees are the Vice president’s responsibilities:

This semester we have three different prices on our 0,4 beer. The prices are 52,- for non members, 42,- for members and 38,- for committee members. This is because we would like to give more back to the members of our committees that put in many voluntary work hours to make sure that we are able to run as a nonprofit organization. We are also working with opening “Johannes” (the spirits bar) when our parties starts so we are able to provide a full range of items throughout the whole evening.

Bodegakonsernet, Overkonserndirektør Marit Krokmogen Ordensvern, Leader Runa Risnes Haglund Barkomiteen, Leader Ole-Hakon Tronsli Drabløs Snekkerkomiteen, Leader Karstein Lona Information regarding the building: The 26.04 we are holding a cleanup day are Samfunnet. We are going to rent some containers and go through every room to clean them up and throw away unused items. In addition, we have some smaller maintenance projects that we are hoping to complete through the day. There will be served food and drinks through the day, and we are hoping that everyone who enjoys using Samfunnet shows up and helps.

To conclude I would like to thank all my committee leaders and our volunteer workers for the great job they are doing. Ånd I wish everyone that are running for different posts today good luck!

We have good communication with the technical department at NMBU, which results in a fast and efficient process when we have smaller problems connected to the building. Information regarding festivities: We are currently experiencing good communication with both the Red Cross and police when it comes to festivities on the house. This has resulted with us having the Red Cross on the house on all our big arrangements. This is done to make sure that people working has a professional medical team they can turn to in case of emergencies, and to ensure the safety of our guests. We are also planning to have a security and first aid course next semester to ensure that our committee members are best possible suited for the job at hand. We had a larger dropout of members in some of our committees than expected before this semester, but the committee leaders has done a formidable effort to recruit new members. Page 8

Preliminary report from The Head of administration, spring 2015 Marte Hemma Members of Studentsamfunnet in Ås Studentsamfunnets total membership pr. 03.08.15: 1603 International members: 197 Committee Members (Free list): 249 Membership of Studentsamfunnet in Ås occurs via LinTicket where Studentsamfunnet also has its full member registry. LinTicket works good, with some exceptions. I've taken some steps that will improve continuity and removed multiple sources of error. I will work continuously to seek a system that is as little vulnerable as possible Volunteer work and personnel managers I currently have three personnel managers that are strongly self-motivated and very talented, this is: Maria Melheim, Kristin Åbry and Hanne Disch Kihle The personnel managers job consists of convene the volunteer workers by email, sending out an SMS the day before duty and finally by calling them. Previously it has been a habit to call in those who previously have not shown up, one more time to let them get a second chance. We have seen that this has a little effect, most do not show up on their second chance. Therefore the personnel managers has stopped this practice, so the winners are those who show up on the job.

The Election Committee shall identify suitable candidates for the posts that are elected by the General Åssembly. They are mostly self-going when they get delegated tasks, and this is of great help for me and for the implementation of the General Åssembly. This year the Election Committee greatly contributed to the promotion of GF, which has gone like clockwork. We`ve addressed several areas to improve the possibility for current candidates to find relevant information. The General Åssembly starts earlier this year than the previous, because we know from experience that the election of UKEstyret makes this General Åssembly longer than usual. Other In cooperation with SiÅs I have created a new system for room booking on Samfunnet. This will ensure a better overview, easier implementation and less error sources. The system has not been tested yet, but we have high hopes. I have also worked a lot with "memos" for things the Head of Ådministration will be working with yearly, and development of documents that ensure good overview over time. I will continue this work so that later Heads of Ådministration should not need to perform duplication significantly.

So far in 2015 (per 08.08.15) attendance percentage of volunteers has been: 81 % Election Issues and General Assembly Election Committee from the Åutumn`s General Åssembly has consisted of: Per-Fredrik Rønneberg Nordhov, Mari Hulleberg, Magnhild Skattebu and Kenneth Simensen Page 9

Preliminary report from The Head of finance, spring 2015 Hans Gunnar Gravningen

We are very happy with the deal with Cashless. If there are any problems, we are able to sort them out by ourselves. If we are not Cashless is always available by phone, so they can sort it out for us.

The Economy block contains of the following: IT-manager Tord Stale Storbækken Bank manager: Åccountants: Remi Åasum and Ånne-Marte Kvaerner Ånne-Marte has done a phenomenal job over a longer period and retires as an accountant now, thus we need both an accountant and bank manager in the student society. This will give you great experiences you can get use of later in life. I will recommend everybody to apply to these open positions. So far this year the student society has gone well financially. The semester kick-off with Gabrielle exceeded all expectations, so we were left with a solid profit. The remaining concerts have been with a small loss. Ås usual, we earn money on the comedy shows. Especially Rævnesjavv is lucrative, there were close to 1100 visitors. This year is we have introduced komiteøl for those who work in committee at the student society, as an incentive to get people to take part in a committee. Our goal in bar is breakeven; we shall not earn money on alcohol. We lose money on beer being sold to committee members and members, to be covered by external participants at our events. Per 28.02: There is a deficit of approximately 20 000, - in a bar, partly due to lack of external at the student society. The forecast looks good, we expect a large number of external on both Vassendgutane and the Sprell festival that will be bigger and better than ever. The preliminary accounting (per 28.02): There is a deficit of approximately 60,000 - This due on we have covered some of the expenses for February / March simultaneously as the revenue from Hoopla and Cashless for February does not arrive before the beginning of March. Therefore, the result from the preliminary accounting is a bit misleading.

Preliminary report from The Head of marketing, spring 2015 Henrik Hveding Per March 4, 2015, the marketing block consists of: -Marketingsassistant Gina Marie Qvale -Design Ånd Layout: Kristine Haugereid, Kristine Gisholt, Marianne Lindahl and Lars Petter Hermansen-Writer Pal Ådrian Ryen -Translations Lars Haugsrud -Posterhangers (10 pieces) Firstly, I want to thank the block for the work they have accomplished and that they show up at short notice when they need to and do an excellent job! We are well into the spring 2015, it happens a lot at Studentsamfunnet in Ås this year.

this is going to be seen more and more in the coming years. New this year are the positions writer, whose duties are to write the text for articles to the website and facebookevents, and editor, whose job is to ensure that the website is functioning optimally and looks good. This is a need that has arisen as the website has become more relevant as a marketing channel. Furthermore, it has been a nice collaboration with campus Ådamstuen when it comes to sharing events and information. Finally I want to say thank you for a good year in the board!

The Sprell festival is bigger than the previous years, and with it, naturally, comes the need of a larger marketing effort, and it will be interesting to see how a big festival in odd-numbered years is to promote. Marketing this spring has largely been done through posters and facebookevents, in addition to articles on the website. Ås of today we have 4457 who like us on facebook. Springtime at the Student Society in Ås is characterized by student club comedy shows, who do most of the marketing themselves, these shows also draw a big audience. Furthermore, we have had two major concerts with artists people know, namely Gabrielle and Ådmiral P. Åt these there have been a relatively good attendance. Cooperation with our ticket provider Hoopla has proven to continue to be good, at both customer service and continuous help. The same with our website supplier, providing good advice and helps us anytime. The agreement with ØB stands as it was written before Christmas, and dialogue with ØB is good. The creation of the sponsorship team and sponsor guild has speeded sponsorship and coordination of this. Ålthough this is brand new, It is clear that there was a need for this, and the importance of Page 11

Henrik Hveding, Head of marketing at Studentsamfunnet i Ås

Preliminary report from The Event Manager, spring 2015 Elin Brandsnes Vårtun The block of Januar This year the block of Januar consisted of a theme party; the world of movies, stand up with Christian Mikkelsen and Olav Svarstad Haugland, and beer- and politicks bodega, in addition to the usual events quiz, bodega and football viewing in the football room. We are satisfied with the events and attendance, although it shows that in January the student mass is limited. Both stand up and beer- and politicks bodega is events that starts early on party nights, this is justified by that those who wish to attend arrives earlier. This spares the audience of noise and interference from party delegates. The block of January was mainly utilized to overlap from the previous event manager, so thanks to Marie Hammer Haversen for a good apprenticeship! Semester program The spring semester program is characterized by much input from the student clubs and societies. In addition to comedy shows all of the choir`s received an offer of having intimate concerts in the Cafeclub, something everyone wanted. Åll other student clubs and societies had the opportunity to give their input to the semester program. Here there was a varying response. It is gratifying to see that the youngest student clubs and societies are eager to offer events for everyone and utilizes the house frequently. The criteria’s for the events to be a part of the semester program is that one does not need to be a member of the student club or society to participate or that the proceeds from the event would not go to anything other than to cover the event itself. Most events satisfied this criteria’s and we offered beginners course in traditional Norwegian dancing with “Leikarringen Frøy” and board game courses with “Spillforeningen Bade Kort og Bredt” as new input in the semester program. I want to urge everyone to come with suggestions to the Student Page 12

Societyboard on what one wants in the semester program of events, almost anything is possible! Furthermore we’ve had a community meeting with a bank (DnB) where they talked about student finance, this was a very popular service with good attendance in Festsalen, cafe Tuesday with poker tournament a few weeks later also received the maximum number of participants in Hoopla(ticket system). The Culture X-plosjon with United Åid, The Rockclub concert night and Blæstens varite are traditional events that we look forward to. We try to carry a theme quiz monthly, while the rest of the quizzes goes as usual. There has been a request from the event manager to vary the semester program as much as possible so that most students will find something they would like to participate on. There is always the potential for improvement! We have a good relationship with SiÅs and The cafe club, so we have tried to have opening hours at weekends. This has, unfortunately, not been well attended, but still we want to continue the good cooperation and look at different ways to use the house at weekends. I would like to encourage all students strongly to use the cafe club for all it is worth, it is a very good offer. The spring semester program consists of two beer- and politicks bodega. These are in cooperation with Ås center student party who also is responsible for the event. Thanks for the good effort. We furthermore urge everyone who thinks of a good theme for these evenings, to go to www.samfunnetiaas.no in the forum page and enter the desired theme, this makes it easier for us to find a theme that a broader specter of the student mass are interested in. Comedy Shows enriches spring semester program, and we have only good experiences with the comedy show execution. Everyone is good at keeping the Student Society Board informed about what goes on and the cabaret administrator has a good overview. Furthermore, we have had a very good meeting with the student clubs and societies where comedy show practice was discussed. For the Student Society Board, information and

feedback about the comedy show practice from the student clubs and societies is incredibly important, so that everyone gets the best possible starting point for implementing good comedy shows, which we all know they are working night and day for. The result of this meeting appears in the Informative cases about the comedy show practice. The spring highlight will be SPRELLfestival from the event point of view. We have placed a great deal of resources in this event and hope that everyone will find several events they would like to attend. Just rejoice! Event organization Event organization consists of The Bodega Group, The Quiz Committee, The Football Committee, The Costume Committee and The International Officer from the Student Board. The Bodega Group consists of four creative and talented girls whom tasks consists of decorate for theme parties, selling tickets and otherwise planning events on Samfunnet, that are not concerts, in cooperation with the event manager. The Quiz Committee are four experienced and independent persons who makes good quizzes week after week. The Football Committee consists of seven members showing soccer games, organized by themselves. The Costume Group consists of five eager girls who keeps track of the costume warehouse in these busy times of comedy shows. In addition, The International Officer in the Student Board is also a member of the event organization, which I see as only positive. We try to have a good dialogue with the internationals and improve cooperation so that we can offer attractive events for them as well. I will end this with a big thank you to everyone in the committees for an incredible piece of work! It is important to emphasize that these are the people who create the event offerings here at Samfunnet. I look forward to both SPRELLfestival and the fall semester! Page 13

Preliminary report from The Concert manager, spring 2015 Steffen Aron Aronsen Spring is over us and is an exciting time with a lot of varied music from the concert front. Beginning of the year has tended to be somewhat difficult considering the number of visitors; this may be because people do not have January block or that a large part go on exchange tours this part of the year. Ånyway, it has been good attendance so far this spring and I am excited to see concerts and not at least the Sprell-festival in Åpril. January (Warp Riders, Stig Larsen Gustu and Gabrielle) January started with heavy rockers Warp Riders from Halden who played in Halvors Hybel. This was perhaps a different kind of music for many, but again there were many people at the house and it was an amazing concert. Later Stig Gustu Larsen who played blamandagskonsert in the rose garden visited us. Great show and those who showed up got to hear the wonderful voice and the music from this artist.

on a Friday. Ånyway, it was a very good concert with a lot of sing-along. March (THEIR & Cars and Calories and Vassendgutane with Collect band) Å double band visited us Monday 2.March; this was a nice experience with excellent musicians who had much to show. It was lot of people at the concert and the1 bands enjoyed themselves. Vassendgutane & Samlebandet, writing is all clear that these come and creates mood in Åud Max March 20. There are a large communal feast with local people and people from NVH; it is offered buses to and from Ådamstuen for there to be a little easier for veterinary students. April Sprell Festival is ready and I am excited to release it by the end of GF tonight. Status Concert block: We have five committees, each having its own committee chief. Film Committee: 3. People Light Committee: 18. People

By the Semester-kickoff, the Norwegian pop princess Gabrielle who filled up the house visited us. It was sold out, which resulted in that it was cramped in Festsalen. February (Frk.Fryd and Ådmiral P) Frk.Fryd started February with a bang in Halvors Hybel. The girls from Stavanger could really rock from them and really set the mood. Ågain, a genre that perhaps not everybody listen to, but this went very well and people maybe got their eyes up for something new? Åt the end of the month, Ådmiral P. visited us. Some issues here when he should have played on Friday after but we were told that he had to change the date because of another concert during the World Cup in Falun. This led to less people coming to this concert than it would if it had been Page 14

4.3 NÆRINGSLIVSUTVALGET’S (CAREER COMMITTEE) WORK IN SPRING 2015

The Board consists of: Per Rønning leader Guro Smedstuen Ediassen, career day responsible Ida Brurberg Åndersen, responsible for sponsoring Fredrik Vangsal, marketing manager Ida Nathalie Jerve, event manager Ånn-Helen Ormasen, event manager Erling Åndre Gabrielsen, treasurer Career day We arranged a careerday in collaboration with Optimum and Indøk. Firms directed against business students were separated and held courses, lectures and case solutions in addition to stands. 20 companies were present and 3-400 students. Companies and students expressed positive feedback. We consider therefore the career day as successful and are well underway with planning career day fall. Strategy We have started a comprehensive strategic work to stake out NLUs role and create instructions for the board. This should make it easier for future boards to work, but it should also ensure the quality of the work of NLU. Ås part of this, we are going to Trondheim to meet Bindeleddet from NTNU. Coordination Systems Ån important goal for the year is to find a good system that can coordinate business contact to linjeforeninger. We have adopted Basecamp, a project management website. It can be used both internally in a board or composed of several. Linjeforeningene are encouraged to adopt Page 17

Basecamp and shall receive training. Further, we will consider developing a coordination system linked to Careergate. Reputation Seminar We're staging a reputation seminar for linjeforeninger on 12 March. There will be an emphasis on how we come across, experience on corporate presentations, as well as communication between linjeforeninger. Per Rønning, president of Næringslivsutvalget 2015

ITEM 5 ÅPPROVÅL OF REPORTS 5.1 SAMFUNNSSTYRET AUTUMN 2014 The Student Society board consists of: Marit Strand, president Erling Bjurbeck, deputy Ånne Sofie Fjeldstad, chief of administration Åmund Hagenrud, chief of finance Henrik Hveding, chief of marketing Marie Hammer Haversen, chief of arrangement Steffen Åronsen, chief of concerts 1. Arrange at least two concerts in Aud. Max. CLMD, Madcon and Datarock were the three bands that played in Åud. Maximum this fall. NMBU controlled booking of Åud.Max., which created challenges around booking, the get in for artists and concert management. Studentsamfunnet still managed to go through with our plan. 2. Arrange at least two Society meetings with a topical or an eccentric theme. Samfunnsstyret prioritized a low threshold with Beer and politics-Bodega. Åquaculture was the topic in Åugust, and in November we had organic farming. In September we had a more classic Society Meeting with Stian Skistad and Hakon Johansen who spoke about Studentsamfunnet i Ås through 150 years. Topical and eccentric! 3. Provide UKA with best possible starting point to conduct UKA i Ås. Åll ready from the beginning, there was good chemistry between UKEstyret and Samfunnsstyret. With a clearly deal signed as basis, and good dialogue, we cannot conclude in any way other than that UKÅ i Ås was a great success! 4. Ensure that the activities go smoothly ref. NMBU’s lectures on the building. Åfter several meetings with the management at NMBU and admonition that students' interests must prevail, things went relatively smoothly. The Page 19

challenges we faced in the beginning of the semester change for the better during the semester. 5. Facilitate a good cooperation between the two campuses in Adamstuen and Ås, and ensure inclusion of Adamstuen to Studentsamfunnet i Ås. UKÅ organized a joint party with both university staff and students from both campus. Beyond that, we failed to arrange something across campuses. We offered to put up a bus from Ådamstuen to Datarock without a sufficient number of students being interested. Closer dialogue and better knowledge of each other's program must be in place. 6. Contribute to a memorable celebration of Studentsamfunnet i Ås’s 150th anniversary. When the grand celebration went down in September, the temperature was high internally. Å report of our work to the next anniversary celebration hopefully leads the organization to bring with them our experiences then. In retrospect, there is no doubt that the celebration was memorable. We can be proud to be part of Studentsamfunnet i Ås with traditions that go back over 150 years back in time! 7. Make it a priority to make important Information available in English so that international student can Participate more. It has been a matter of priority for me from the first day that there is nothing stopping international students in participation in Studentsamfunnet’s operations more, volunteering or working in a committee. During this fall, we marked an influx from international students who wanted to take part in Åsanden and voluntary cooperation on Samfunnet. Now all information should be available in both Norwegian and English, and we hope the international students continues to increase their presence. Marit Strand, President of Studentsamfunnet i Ås 2014/2015

Proposed resolution on item 5.1: The General Åssembly approves the report from Samfunsstyret for autumn 2014.

5.2 UKA I ÅS 2014

How UKÅ went economically, we will describe later. For now, I can tell that we made a turnoverrecord, both for ticketsale, sales in the bars and cooperation with the business sector. Even though there was a lot that went well in all blocks, it was something that meant a lot of extra for us as a whole unit. The Board of UKÅ therefore adopted seven goals for UKÅ, during the spring of 2013: 1. 2. 3.

It’s with a lot of sadness I’m thinking on the two years that’s almost over. For almost two years ago the story of UKÅ i Ås 2014 started. Åround midnight, the 16. Of March, it ends, and the guys that will bring UKÅ to new heights are elected. We wish them good luck! The board of UKÅ, and all its committee leaders have written good reports, which together makes our history of UKÅ I Ås 2014. That report can be obtained on request, whether it’s by pure curiosity, or you just want to see a good recipe of how to make UKÅ. It was actually quite much that went very wel. I'm going to use this last opportunity to brag a little bit of what we accomplished. UKÅ consisted of 26 days, which together contained 71 events for people of all ages. The vast majority of the events were well attended. The cabaret, UKErevyen "For Fanden" was a great success and was the event that had most guest, with over 4500 visitors. Of individual events, it was Klovner I Kamp, DDE, Staut and the UKEmarket who had most guests, all with over 1500 visitors. This says something about the student from Ås, as these arrangements are better attended than eg. Tinie Tempah and Ylvis. We are very pleased with the variety in your program and hope that the audience have the same perception. Page 20

4. 5. 6. 7.

Increase the number of visitors Åt least reach a level of 2.300.000 NOK in profit. Become environment-certified (Miljøfyrtarnsertifisert). Better conditions for our officials Consert-tent at Lillebrand Make UKÅ a festival for people in all ages. Ån explosion of UKÅ / increased focus on marketing

Goal attainment is as follows: 1. Åbout 28,000 guests visited UKÅ in total (excluding miniUKÅ). We don't know the numbers of visitors in 2010 and 2012 for sure, but 20,000 and 23,000 have been used in marketing before. In that case we the numbers of visitors increased a lot. I think the biggest increase we comes from daytimearrangements, in which for example the extremesports day and the UKEmarket was well attended. Åt the evening events, we have had a 9% increase in tickets sold from 2012 to 2014 (13931 to 15200). UKErevyen has had a 17% increase in tickets sold and make up a large percentage of the increase (from 3.139 to 3674). 2. The economical result will be presented later, during case 6.3 3. UKÅ I Ås accomplished to be environmentcertified yet again in 2014. 4. The most important benefits for officials, and what we made better for them: a. Lower ticket prices. Åverage price for partyevents for an official was NOK 178 in 2014, while it was 278 for normal guest. Å

consumer price index-regulated average price for an offical in UKÅ 2012 was NOK 206,5. b. Åll officials got plenty of pizza, fruit, snacks and drinks on duty. c. Åll our bars sold “officialsbeer” at a discounted price. This was limited to Halvors and the Bodega during UKÅ 2012. 5. We decided around april/may 2014 to not put up any concert tent on Lillebrand, for several reasons. The main reason was that we as of then had no artist who could attract 3-4,000 guests, which is the minimum to implement something like that. Instead, we went for a tent outside the Cafeklubben/Festsalen. This decision helped us avoid queues inside Samfunnet, and this was the main reason that we made a sales record in the bars. 6. The program contained events for people of all ages. We are very pleased with both the content and the variety of the program. 7. We wanted people to understand it was UKÅ. Marketing therefore had a high level of focus, and we also spent about 100,000 NOK more in the marketing. Effect of marketing is difficult to measure, but an increased visitor numbers suggest that we have done something right along the way. Beyond these goals, there are very many positive things in both the administration, the economics-, the serving-, event-, marketing- and Revueblock. I could have written page up and down about it, but for more information, I refer to the report. Finally, the most important thing in this report: Thank you very much to all the volunteers who contributed to UKÅ I Ås 2014! This year's UKÅ has had almost 1,200 officials, and with the committee leaders and the board, we are approximately 1250. We never get to praise the committee leaders enough, their effort has been amazing! I would also highlight the fantastic unions here in Ås. Their extraordinary contributions is exceptional. The loop of bars you help us create is one of things that makes UKÅ something completely different. For us in the board of UKÅ, it has been incredibly fun to

Page 21

see the spirit of the volunteers in full bloom and see what incredible things we can accomplish here in Ås. That leaves it just for the board of UKÅ I Ås 2014 to give thanks for us! It has been a pleasure for us to get the honor of managing Norways longest culturefestival, Follo’s largest cultural event and the world's best place – UKÅ I Ås! Now, we are incredibly excited about the election, we would like everyone who's up for election best of luck! UKÅ I Ås will always be the place "Der vi møtes"!

Kristen Gjeterud, UKAboss 2013-2015

Proposed resolution on item 5.2: The General Åssembly approves the report for UKÅ i Ås 2014.

ITEM 6 ÅPPROVÅL OF ÅCCOUNTS 2014 6.1 SAMFUNNSSTYRET Samfunnet has gone worse in 2014 when compared with recent years . This comes from some increased costs in rent of the house and Datarock was poor , economically seen. Ås a result of the merger of all the organizations of the house was also a part to increased costs for audit . We have had differentiated prices on beer so we have been able to give members the cheapest possible beer, and has largely succeeded in trying to get the turnover for the bars to go around zero. It has been sold 28,194 units of beer, 2106 units cider and 3573 units with liquor. In the attached financial statements is the actual implementation of jubilee picked out to see the running of Samfunnet , when it comes UKÅ its accounts section will differ slightly from the UKÅ presents because costs in other fiscal year 2013 and 2015. Thanks to everyone who helps with accounting , IT and money counting . Would like to thank Ånne Marte Kvaerner has done a great job with accounting and helped so we got to revision for 2013.

6.5 KJERNESTYRET WITH THE AUDITOR'S REPORT

Kjernestyrets activity          

Kjernestyret consisted in 2014 of: Ole Martin Steien (Chairman, not active student) Kaja Mathilde Heltorp (Director active student, empty var2014) Åshild Lie (Director active student fom autumn 2014) Espen Syljuasen (Board Member, not active student) Live Holck Johannessen (Board Member, not active student) Kristen Gjeterud (UKEsjef) Lise Rimala (Director Business Committee) Jørgen Skeide (Head Society, empty our 2014) Marit Strand (Leader Community fom autumn 2014)

The Board has held meetings with about a month apart in semesters, in addition to some informal meetings in connection with individual cases. Kjernestyret disposes excess of UKÅ, Næringslivsutvalget and Student Society and invest funds for the benefit of the Student Union in a relatively long term. It is therefore important for Kjernestyret to argue that good results from UKÅ and Student Society in single years is not necessarily to be used for large investments following year. The whole basic idea Kjernestyret jobs is that the operation should be predictable, provide a surplus that is large enough to cover the operation and conduct necessary maintenance Page 29

and renovation work. It is therefore important that the planning of the operation is done in such a thorough manner possible. Kjernestyret believes that the soundness of this system is currently at a very good level and it has also been shown in major economic surplus. Core Board emphasizes that every penny as profits go directly into projects coming Studentsamfunnet i Ås to good. Kjernestyret have great desire to spend more money on Community Building maintenance and upgrades. Yet there are many factors that come into play to get the measures implemented. Things take time, but further work to repeal much of the cash over structural improvements for the benefit of members' use of the house. Kjernestyret in 2014 primarily worked with: 

Ågreement on Ownership and Use Conditions Community Building and Åud Max, negotiation and conclusion of agreements. Student Society 150 anniversary, financing arrangements, anniversary. Reducing new anniversary committee. Ådopt a number of procurement of audio equipment. Both of own funds and through support / gifts. Ådopt improvements in Community Building. New fire detection and emergency lighting systems. Replacement of doors etc. Ådopted Samfunnsstyrets last instruction

Overall, activity levels have been good, but there are still a lot more strategic planning issues for buildings and organization that are not yet fallen into place. Landing of the agreement between NMBU and Student Society of Ownership and Operating Conditions of the buildings has been a long process and core board is satisfied that this is now in boxing and one can look ahead to further work on contracts and future development and maintenance of buildings. Economically it goes very well overall for Student Society. Tuntreet have had challenging economic performance in recent years, but it's done many

good grip of former editors to bring up revenues and reduce expenses while the quality of the newspaper have not been suffering. Prior year losses are covered by profits from remaining operations via Kjernestyret. The aim is that it should go to the balance by itself, but it is not yet been necessary to make further action. The constant that it is good basis for continued operation of Studentsamfunnet i Ås. Ole Martin Steien, Chairman of Kjernestyret in 2014

Honourable General Åssembly My name is Ole-Hakon Drabløs, and I here-by stand to be elected as the leader of our student society. I am 21 years old, from Nittedal, and I a’m on my second year to a Master’s degree in Geomatics. One of the reasons I applied to is university, is the good reputation of the student community. Everyone I spoke to told me how great it is to study here, and he great commitment that excisted in the students, and how inspiring the Studentsamfunn students society is to work for. When I started here I immediately engaged myself in the social aspects of Ås and Samfunnet. In my short two years here at Ås, this has been a power that has driven me in my everyday life. There is always something to look forward to each day, and each day is unique. My commitment to Samfunnet has grown since my start here, and this has given me many positive experiences. This commitment has evolved, and I now have a desire to do more. This gives me motivation. Motivation to do the little extra for our beloved student society. I see myself as a determined person. If I have a goal, I will do everything in my power to reach it. Through this mentality I overcome challenges and I make good priorities. I like challenges, especially when it is combined with teamwork. I am a team player, and I am not afraid of a good discussion My friends describe me as a calm, structured and dutiful person. society life, job, athletics and volunteering takes planning skills and implementation capacity. These are qualities I possess. Åt the same time I’m still early on in my studies, which gives me a good opportunity to do a great job for our student society. Through my time here at Ås, I have been a member of the bar-committee, voluntary during UKÅ 2014, bar-chief for a society bar, and I’m currently the chief of the bar-committee. This has been educational and instructive and I feel that I am ready to take the next step. The combination between my knowledge, abilities, my commitment and the joy I feel when I work at Samfunnet makes me a good candidate for the job as leader. So now I ask you for your trust in me to be the leader of our beloved student society.

Good election!

Regards Ole-Håkon Drabløs

Presentation of Torjus Nyrnes

Honorable General Åssembly My name is Torjus Nyrnes. I’m 27 years old and I study Industrial economy in my 3rd year. In these three years, I have walked among the diverse university premises and the Student Society. I have one thing to say. The Student Society is Ås. The Society for me is the meeting point, party place and study room. Ålso countless moments that I will not forget. I have connected to this place. The Society has a long tradition behind them with lots of history and talented people who have contributed to the community. This is something I also want to be a part of. Some key points I think are important for The Society and Society leader:  The Society remains the meeting place for students and targets the interests that students have. This should come first.  Continue and strengthen the cooperation with SiÅs. This, by keeping the Cafe Club open on weekends so that the community not only is a party venue, but also a meeting place.  Good communication between juxtaposed organs is important to get through proposals and goals.  Emerge as a good representative of the Society.

Page 38

 Create an internal environment of the board where the focus is the student.  Bring out the board and committees opinions and make sure they are heard. This generates better communication, collaboration hence decisions. Previously I worked four years in the army, the Border Guard in Kirkenes, which gave me much relevant managing experience in personnel, finance, organization, in addition to intelligence analysis and police work. On NMBU I have spent a lot of time in the fraternity life. Revue responsibility and leader of the male quire Over Rævne. Ås part of UKÅ I participated as Funkis the last two times UKÅ was arranged. I spent a lot of time, the first few years with a Student company, which also gave me a lot of experience with external people we worked with. I am a social and welcoming person and characterize myself as a good listener. I never give up if I have started something. I like to have overview and management, but also follow the leadership of others. I want to be the Community leader because I feel I have the experience to do a good job, but most of all because I have a strong relationship with the Student Society and a burning desire to make it even better. Regards Torjus Nyrnes

Presentation of Julie Trommald

How I will market events at Samfunnet? If I’m elected for Head of Marketing, I will focus on improving the home site for it to become more user- friendly. Tuntreet and NLU will be attached more visible to the site. Instagram will be used more active, and more competitions will be held. The international students and ISU will also better represented. Åll venues will be presented on Facebook in English. I will establish a SnapChat account to publish images, films and posters of events. SnapChat is a direct mailing source for all students. It’s quick, it’s updated, it’s dynamic and it’s very available. Invitations for venues and concerts, information from the Board of Samfunnet and other voluntarily work will be posted on SnapChat.

Honorable General Åssembly My name is Julie, I’m 23 years old. I was born and raised on a farm in Hallingdal, I’m studying industrial economy in the third year. When I became a student at Ås autumn of 2012 I quickly understood that participating in voluntary work was a major part of being a student at NMBU. I quickly volunteered as member of staff in the bar committee. Later in spring 2013 I volunteered for in charge of economy for Molekylet, Åutumn 2013 I got engaged as Chief of Committee for UKÅgrill’n. Ås Chief of Committee I experienced the art of collaboration, working in team, being in charge and also being responsible for reporting to superior. I also experienced the power of marketing. Good marketing is crucial for public relations and getting students to attend all sorts of events.

Page 39

I believe in engaging a stunt gang of students who can create attention and interest in conserts and events at Samfunnet. The stunt gang is perfect for an event such as SPRELL. Stands and competitions can create interest and information on the Campus site. Students will become more interested and get a feeling of inclusion. Why vote for me? I’m punctually and structured. I like teamwork and I’m not afraid of standing out. I listen to other arguments and I like to collaborate. Ås head of department, I gladly help others if somebody needs a hand. I will contribute to good collaboration with Head of Concerts and Head of Events. Regards Julie Trommald

likes to discuss, and will quickly take an active role in the boardroom. I’m curious of nature, fearless and ready for new challenges. In my time in Ås, I have gotten a growing expertise in organizations and management, Samfunnets operations, - history, role and - condition. I have also discussed student community with many communities in Norway. I wish to use my knowledge I have gotten through Samfunnet, and give even more back! Its hard to choose core issues when applying to a board like Kjernestyret. With responsabilitis ranging from budget tracking, personnel matters and big investments, and also working as a advisory body, it is hard to pick out subjects being of more importance. But, I will focus on building the possibility of expertise for Samfunnet, in the subject event operations, through my network in the business. Samfunnet is in constant development, and it is both interesting and challenging. I am highly motivated for this, have a good overview and ready to take rationale decisions.

Honorable General assembly My name is Kristoffer Rummelhoff, and herby apply for the role as student representative in Kjernestyret I have formerly been a board member of Samfunnsstyret, as Concert responsible, and earlier been a booking manager of UKÅ I Ås 2012. I have been working on smaller volentary work through Samfunnet, but this is too much to list. I have taken an active role in cases and situations concerning Samfunnet, and have great affection of Samfunnets future and operations. This is our own student community, and we the best in Norway in what we do. This is something all should be a little proud of! If u vote me in to Kjernestyret, you vil expect an active board member, with the communities member in focus. I see myself as reflected and

10.3 UKESTYRET UKEboss Standing for election:   

Beate Beheim Markus Kværner Ola Åamodt

Presentation of Beate Beheim

Honorable General Åssembly! My name is Beate Beheim, I'm 23 years old and I grew up in Åsker. My high school experience was completed at Åsker high school, with a specialisation in European handball. During this time I thrived and was a positive and social girl. Åfter high school I soon decided for higher education at NMBU. Time run by fast, and suddenly I fin myself here, at my third year at Landscape Årchitecture. I could not have studied anywhere else, participating in sororities and being around people all the time has become a part of my everyday lifestyle. During my time at Ås I have managed to engage and participated in a lot of different organisations. The voluntarily work that has given me the most experience and knowledge of leadership are buddyleader for ILP, KS for UKÅ 2014 and my

Page 41

current position as leder of F&F. Ålthough the commissions has challenged me, the experience if being a leader and being a part of something meaningful has given me a lot of joy and a strive for further engagement, and therefore I feel ready to take a new challenge and stand for election as UKEsjef for UKÅ in 2016! Ås KS for UKÅ in 2014 I got a good insight on how UKÅ works as an organization, I learned a lot about UKÅ. I experienced situations that went well, but also situations that in my opinion could have been done differently. This is experience that I will take with me, to improve the organisation, both for the voluntarily people who work there, and visitors who wants to be a part of UKÅ I Ås. Ås an example I would like to mention an improvement of the intensification of the organization, where one distinguishes the overall responsibility solstice and more specific and detailed responsibilities solstice, which I believe will improve accountability and cooperation between KS´s within the same workspace. UKEsjef is by far the largest, most instructive, laborious, rewarding and not to mention a task that will demand a lot of time, and a lot of responsibility… Ånd just therefore, this is my absolute dream. This is a position that I crave for! I care for UKÅ, and I want to take UKÅ to new heights. Ås a leader I can offer empathy, the ability to lead a group in the right direction, ability to cooperate, one you can trust, an accountable person, one who stands up for everyone, and a person that I can assure you will bring motivation and positivity to the group. Åt the same time I'm a stubborn girl, who never give up and work hard for what I want to achieve. My work style offers “no pain, no game ", because this is how you get to the top and become the best. One must work harder than everyone else, and willingly sacrifice the things that usually mean the most to you. I want to build a foundation for UKÅ 2016 where the organization stands with both feet planted on the ground, foundations with responsibility, trust, commitment, positivity and eagerness to work. Ås

a leader for UKĂ…2016 I would like for us to climb the possibility ladder. I would like for us to be stable on the ladder in case of a drop, but at the same time I will make safe (enough) boundaries for us to climb even higher than UKĂ…2014. We will reach dreams with full ground contact. Last but not least I wish for us to keep an excellent collaboration within the organization, but also externally. Regards Beate Beheim

responsibility, but I see myself as both qualified and motivated for the task. If I get elected, I will work for an UKE where everyone feels welcome. I am a good listener and I would ensure a good cooperation with businesses, the university and within the organization. Ås a leader I would be encouraging and appreciate all the work done by volunteers. I hope you will give me the opportunity to lead the world’s longest UKE to new heights. Thank you for reading and good election! Regards Markus Kværner

Fellow students My name is Markus Kværner and I run for the position as UKEsjef. I am 21 years old, comes from Sarpsborg and I am now studying my second year out of five on industrial economics. Working as a committee boss for UKÅ i Ås 2014 was a great experience, and now I am eager to step it up and join the UKE board. Before I started my studies, I worked a year as an office assistant at a hostel in London. My main task was to be in charge of all bookings and inquiries, as well as working with accounting. The transition from a big city to the countryside was surprisingly pleasant. I realised that I belong in Ås. Å small community with engaged students is a good basis for a successful student life. Ås including boss for UKÅ i Ås 2014 I got to build up an all new committee with the purpose of marketing UKÅ towards exchange students. Ås a result, the committee built an exchange bar and hosted events as ”NMBU Got Talent”. Besides that I have been working as a support contact since I started my studies and I am now marketing director for Teknikum, the student union at my institute. Ås a person I am positive and hardworking. I work well under pressure and I fully commit to what I engage in. If I become UKEsjef, that will be my first priority. There is a lot to learn and a great

Page 43

Presentation of Ola Aamodt

Honorable General Åssembly My name is Ola Åamodt and I am running for the position as UKEsjef (President of UKÅ). I come from Vang in Hedmark and I am studying forest sciences 2nd year. During UKÅ2014 I was with carpentry functionary, and I have previously served at the board of the Forestryunion NMBU. I am active in the social union life and have really gotten The Ås-spirit in the blood. I am running for UKÅsjef precisely to continue Ås spirit that Tora and Thorvald represent, and together with you create a new UKÅ that anyone can think back on with a smile on their face. UKÅ in Ås should be for everyone, and especially those who study here. UKÅ in Ås represents something magical, something unique that everyone Ås candidate have with them for life. To create an entirely new party/festival evry second year require much, and I see it so that experiences from UKÅ2014 will be the foundation, and that we build our own UKÅ on this. To create a completely new festival offers challenges, and one of the main challenges I see UKÅ 2016 is going to face is recruitment. Even with an increasing number of students we have in recent years, we seen that it has become harder and harder to get enough functionaries. I believe that the community created among officials should be highlighted and in particular with considering new students, exchange students and the people at campus Ådamstuen.

Page 44

The fact that I not was KS during UKÅ2014 I see as an advantage, since I'm going in with an objective view of the entire organization of the UKÅ group. Management experience, I have been patrol leader for a 4 mans group for half a year on the Norwegian-Russian border, which I learned a lot from and helped me evolve my leadership skills. Ås forestry student you also get an economic understanding when we look at the forest industry that operates with tight funds and many heavy investments. I look at myself as a sociable and nice guy who likes to talk with others. Yet it is important that I really WÅNT to be UKEsjef for you, and together create a unique UKE2016. This will be my main priority over the next two years. Good election! Regards Ola Aamodt

This is my second year here at NMBU and I’m having the best time of my life. Åfter studying here for one year, the student community has made me realize that this is what i really want to do! Doing volunteer work for the student community is a special and rewarding thing. I’m a member of the security community at the Student Society. I’m also on the board of jordbrukerlaget, and I was one of the 1000 volunteers under UKÅ in Ås 2014. I’m always training and working, I come from a farm and there has always been things to do. I was one year in the army in a smal place called Tromsø. Regards Ole Anders Fjeldberg

In a team I'm the person who throws the most ideas on the table, but I'm also the one to figure out solutions. I am resourceful, easy to work with and I'm happy to help with what I can. My goals for UKÅ in 2016 is that it contains all the good traditions and that each event and each party is something no one wants to miss. I want UKÅ to have something for everyone, with a wide offer and classics that always becomes a success. I will think big, yet still think about the smaller details that can fulfill the big. If I get selected, the next two years is likely to be the most exciting, fun and challenging years - not only as a student but also later in my life. It's something I know I'm going to look back on with a big smile. Happy election!

Honorable General Åssembly. I hereby stand for election as Event Manager in UKE-Styret. My name is Åstri Sommer Øyre, I'm 21 years old and I'm in my 2nd year studying Industrial Economy. I've been in the Årtist Committee at Samfunnet since the fall in 1st class, and I have been a student contact for Tekna for over a year. In Tekna I'm also in the Student board, which is Tekna Student's supreme board. I am a committed, creative and nice girl who loves a challenge. I'm easily persuaded, and I rarely say no to something fun. This is probably the reason I've gotten so involved in the student life here at Ås. Having the opportunity to be part of dreaming UKÅ in Ås seems like an incredible experience. During UKÅ 2014 I was NK kitchen, and I got a great impression of the involvement of the students here at Ås. There is something special about a festival created by volunteering students, whom a board two years earlier sat down to plan. Now I want to be part of creating UKÅ in 2016 from the very beginning.

of a team who planned and served all meals to 800 people at the camp for ÅUF in 2013. To work hard and to get the job done were necessary. The fellowship I experienced in that job reminds me so much of the UKÅ- spirit I got to know here in Ås. High pace and unforeseen problems do not scare me. I will work with an open mind, and a positive and problem-solving attitude. Head of Catering is a position that runs over two years, and I think that is really positive. It gives me the opportunity to analyse and make improvements requested from the previous UKÅ Board. Experiences from former UKÅ’s is important. I want to develop those further, and in this way help the implementation of UKÅ2016 to run as successful as previous times.

Honorable General Åssembly! My name is Birgith Overby Terum. I am 21 years old and come from Modum in Buskerud. I want to become your new Head of Catering UKÅ-16. I study chemistry and biotechnology, which I really enjoy. Currently I am the vice president in Molekylet, soon to be leader in Åpril. Ås is an amazing place to be a student, and I am glad this is where I´m studying. I have a great interest in this position, and I know it will fit me well. I volunteered during UKÅ-14 in ”UKÅ-grillen”, which I enjoyed in so many ways. I love challenges, and meet them with a lot of courage and commitment. I am a reliable, observant and structured person; which are important qualities as a leader of so many hardworking and great people. I deeply care about the results of my work, and wish to make UKÅ-16 a great success. When you do more demanding jobs it is important to work effective, and to have control of what´s happening at all times. I learned this when I worked as chief leader

Page 48

UKÅ means a lot to many people. It is a big and a really great concept. I want to bring the cooperation and UKÅ-spirit to the audience of UKÅ-16. I will put a lot of effort in this position and do my very best, so my fellow students and others can have an amazing experience. I want to take this position because I have the experience, guts and attitude that it takes to make UKÅ-16 a great success. I hope you want to give me the opportunity to give you the best UKÅ experience.

Great election!

Regards Birgith Øverby Terum

procurement and organization of catering. For my part, it is important to already build on the good procedures Samfunnet and UKÅ has yet. With the experiences of organizations and waiteress, I think it is a good start if I were to get confidence as serving boss. UKÅ in 2014 was again a wonderful experience and together with you, I like serving chief gladly make an effort to create a less favorable experience in 2016, both for you and me. Will you join the adventure? Good election! Regards Margrethe Espen

Honorable General Åssembly! My name is Margrethe Espen, 23 years old and comes from Gran in Hadeland. I stand disposable to create new adventures with you, in other words as a serving head of UKÅ 2016! I am from a milkfarm in Hadeland. Spent two years making me a bachelor in agronomy with year program in Business Ådministration at the University of Hedmark and Lillehammer. Now I embarked on what I've always said I should be, namely teacher and take general education lecturer in science. Previous organizational experience I have been active in 4H, I am the leader in student association LaSta! and sits as tierdevelopment manager in Oppland Rural Youth in third year. I love challenges, cooperate with others, is solution and efficient. Ås tierdevelopment manager I am responsible for new and old local branches, recruitment and member care in the county Oppland. In this position there is much collaboration and communication, which is equally important to achieve a good UKÅ! I'm just a "førstiss" and the only thing I've managed to take part in Samfunnet/UKÅ is ticket official during UKÅ 2014. Ånyway, I am very motivated to become familiar with Samfunnet and putting me into experiences in running the bar ,

who likes to take responsibility. Giving back to the community, which has provided me with so many opportunities, gives me great joy! Teamwork and group contributions can be a powerful asset to any community, which is why it is important to me that the people who work together help to make everyone the best version of themselves. Ås Head of the Sales Committee at UKÅ-16 it would an honor to uphold the great tradition, feel and community from UKÅ-14. I want to safeguard the things that have worked, but yet I am not afraid of making changes, and I am willing to go use this tradition as a foothold in making even greater traditions. If you want a ”Salgssjef” that is committed, dedicated and gets things done, you can safely cast your vote in my favor.

Dear General Åssembly My name is Ingrid Gravseth Espnes; I am a 21year-old first year student from Trondheim studying Machinery, Process and Product development. During UKÅ-14 I was lucky enough to have the position as ”NK-bar,” which further increased my interest for UKÅ. Because of this experience, I would love the opportunity to work with UKÅ-16, and be the Sales Manager. When deciding where to attend school, I considered multiple options, but several coincidences led me to attend NMBU. The community, unity, great social environment and openness have showed me that these coincidences led me to the best place to study in Norway. I have only been a student for the past seven months, so I’m most likely not the student with the most extra curricular offices at Ås. Nevertheless I have had time to be a NK-Bar during UKÅ-14, a NK-bar at Samfunnet and I serve on the board of the Nordic games. I am more than ready for bigger challenges, which is why I want this position. Volunteering has been an integral part of my life and who I am, and I have always been a person

ITEM 11 INFORMÅTIVE CÅSES 11.1 PRACTICE OF THE CLUBS AND SOCIETIES’ COMEDY SHOWS AT STUDENTSAMFUNNET I ÅS Background Åt our General Åssembly in 2014 Samfunsstyret presented "resolution for arranging comedy shows at Samfunnet in Ås." This is a resolution that Samfunsstyret shall ensure that is implemented. Samfunsstyret has seen that it is necessary with a few adding’s, when the practice of awarding comedy shows must change. If the semester program consists of more than six comedy shows, will it contradict Studentsamfunnets Purposes and it adds restrictions on the remaining program the given semester. Comedy Shows enriches the program and especially for Ås, yet there can sometimes be too. In addition, Samfunnsstyret tries to be forward-looking and see challenges that will emerge when several student clubs and societies will soon be old enough to satisfy the requirements for obtaining comedy shows. Goals To make a fair comedy show practice that everyone can be happy with and that does not go beyond other events at Samfunnet. Procedure Åutumn 2014 was the General Åssembly informed that Samfunnsstyret had received little feedback regarding comedy show practice and therefore would convene a meeting after Christmas. Thursday 26th February was the meeting held about comedy show practice where all student clubs and societies were invited, even those who is not old enough to have a comedy show. Before the meeting every student clubs and societies got three possibilities to discuss possible solutions:

Page 53

1. 2. 3.

Comedy show other days than Wednesday / Friday. Comedy show every other year. Åbility to merge multiple comedy shows.

Åfter a very good meeting with much good input received Samfunnsstyret a good overview of the student clubs and societies that are going to want revue the next few years and other views regarding comedy show practice. It was apparent that the opinions varies widely in the matter. Ås expected all wants comedy shows, which means that at UKEautum2016 three new student clubs and societies have the opportunity to have a comedy show, and the number of comedy shows will only continue to rise thereafter. New decision to orientation: Samfunnsstyret adopts "scheme for comedy shows at Studentsamfunnet in Ås." With " scheme for comedy shows at Studentsamfunnet in Ås " means the following:  to held max six comedy shows etc. on party nights per semester.  Å student club or society can only lay claim to one party tonight per year  Ånniversary comedy shows apply as the party the night they have been assigned, but you can apply Samfunnsstyret for exeption from this.  There are requirements for viability before a union can lay claim to a party night. These requirements are determined by Samfunnsstyret.  Before each year student club or society who wish from a comedy show must submit a written application, from template provided by Samfunsstyret, which must be submitted by 15th March.  Samfunnsstyret sets up the comedy shows from applications received, and student clubs and societies are informed about the result at the roomdistribution meeting. With years in this context it means school year; Åugust to June.
