Case 5: Preliminary reports for Studentsamfunnet i Ås for autumn 2021 5.1 The Board of Samfunnet Reports from members of the board of Samfunnet. The report from sitting and previous chairman are on behalf of the board of Samfunnet.

Report from the current and past leader, Vilde Kjelsrud Pedersen and Hedda Mejlænder-Larsen Honored General Assembly! The board of Samfunnet spring 2022 consisted of the following members Chairwomen: Hedda Mejlænder-Larsen Head of Administration: Anna Imsgaard Strøm Head of Finance: Synne Strømmen Head of Bodega : Emilie Reitan Head of Events: Kristoffer Bovard Rønning Head of Marketing: Harald Vie Pettersen Head of Concerts: Fredrik Skistad

Head of Events: Vebjørn Røysland Head of Marketing: Harald Vie Pettersen Head of Concerts: Fredrik Skistad First and foremost we would like to congratulate UKEstyret and the rest of UKA with a fantastic UKE! Working with you has been top notch, and the result of all the work volunteers have put down for a UKE filled with festivales, learning and fun are gratifying to see. I am incredibly proud of you all with so many skilled students who are on hand to create experience for both the month, the year and the life! We are back to normal operation at Samfunnet, and we are at this year's end. I and the former chairwomen of ours, Hedda Mejlænder-Larsen, together with the rest of the board in 2022 have continued to work on the development of the organization according to the work program for 2022. Below is a report from the most important things we have spent our time on so far this year.

Head of Finance: Synne Strømmen

Samfunnet started this autumn with the first normal Buddyweek since 2019, but which worked to a varying degree in terms of attendance at the house for the various events. We want to continue working on even better communication and cooperation between us, NMBU and the Buddy Board.

Head of Finance: Ola Walberg Nilssen

Collaboration with other bodies at NMBU

Head of Bodega : Emilie Reitan

In 2022, we have had good cooperation with various actors about events at Samfunnet, and we would like to thank everyone who

contributes to the good activity and use of the house! In close cooperation with actors at Campus, we want to work to be even better here. In 2022 we have also had a very good teamwork and cooperation with the bodies at the Studentsamfunnet, where we have had a clear focus on being an organization that works toward the same goal. We have already seen a positive effect of this, and we hope we can reap the fruits of good overall work at Kontorfløya for a long time. This autumn we have had good cooperation with the Student Parliament's Working Committee, right from the start of the semester and further communication throughout the autumn. There have been meetings to learn from each other, share information about how the operations of the various bodies at Studentsfunnet work and not least bring out the best in each other. We have worked well with SiÅs, and worked closely with The Event Host, which has been a great help in the daily operations and the various events we have had at Samfunnet. Serveringsavtalen is being followed up, and work is continuing to optimize this. Organizational development This semester we have been able to see that the operating committees have been working well at UKA in Ås, and how it works in practice. We see that it works well on many points, but there is also room for improvement. Evaluation and further progress in the future. This autumn, a new committee chair position was established at Studentsamfunnet. A good basis was made for further work by already existing KS Climate Accounts. KS Miljøfyrtårn is a project position which will work to get the entire organization Miljøfyrtårn-certifed.

When working with the revision of the longterm strategy and the work program for 2023, we have focused on the inclusion of our heads of communities. We wish to lower the threshold for making suggestions and proposing new ideas as much as possible, as it is important that everyone working and participating as members of Samfunnet have the opportunity to contribute and influence on how Samfunnet is drifted. The board finds this to be a great potential of improvement from our side. The organization in general This autumn Halvflaskefestivalen was arranged for the first time. The implementation went great, and all the volunteers at the house worked long hours to get the festival done. A big thank you to all who participated, and worked from early morning until late night. The audience was delighted with the seven artists that were on stage at this festival. There has been a final decision that the Aud.Max renovation will be postponed for 2 years. It is sad to know that Aud.Max is not ready for the big anniversary year 2024, and that we will have to wait even longer to see it ready. We will work diligently to pass on all the experience and knowledge we have gained within the various bodies, so that the boards that will work on the renovation and operation under this will be prepared. Due to fire safety, lack of space and renovation of Aud.Max, we have had to look at how the rooms in the house are used. This autumn we have been told that several rooms cannot be used like we use the rooms today, which means that the operation of Samfunnet and our committees must be moved. Apologetically this, in turn, has led us to ask associations to find other solutions and spaces, in anticipation of new solutions that will come as soon as we can reorganize the use of space at Studentsamfunnet. We hope this will go as Side 9 av 58

quickly as possible, after associations have moved out during December-January, so that they can use the house as they do today. Reports that are more detailed can be read from each member of the board. In conclusion, I would like to thank all those who work as volunteers for Studentsamfunnet i Ås. The time and effort you put into Samfunnet is reflected in the good service we can give all our members. Without you, there would be no Studentsamfunn. Thank you for all your work!

Report from Head of Administration Anna Imsgard Strøm Honorable General Assembly! The Administration Block Autumn 2022 Administration Assistant: Erica Caci Back HR: Åslaug Flatabø Head of LinTicket: Aina Hustveit Head of Staff: Mette Lea Head of Staff: Ida Eline Nes Myrvold Head of IT: Marisha Gnanaseelan Head of IT: Martine Olsen During 2022 the Administration Block has worked to keep up the focus on and develop routines, guidelines, contracts, accesses, and the use of venues after a long time with shutdown and an unpredictable situation because of covid-19 in 2021 and in the beginning of 2022. It finally feels like we are back to where we want to be continually working on developing the Administration Block. Work in the Administration Block Administration Assistant, Erica, has taken care of the communication with NMBU when it comes to card access. During 2022 she has developed a new system ensuring that all the needs for access to the house is covered at the right time. The Administration Assistant has also followed up the work with the contracts for drifting committee members and committee leaders which were sent out last spring. Committee member Fredrik is responsible for communication when it comes to booking rooms, both recurring and others. HR-leader, Åslaug, has for the first time since autumn 2019 arranged Studentsamfunnet’s history hour, which had to be moved from Festsalen to Aud. Max. due to an increased participation. The history hour was followed by an onsite committee workshop directed by HR.

In addition, HR has also arranged KS-forum, KS workshop and has been available for inquiries from members and volunteers. Head of Linticket, Aina, constantly solves problems for anyone struggling with Linticket. She always works to improve Linticket, both functions, user-friendliness and adapting it to Studentsamfunnet i Ås. This autumn the Head of Linticket has, among other things, made it possible for volunteers to view their contract at their personal Linticket-page and cleaned up the Samfunnet’s data which is already in the Linticket program. During 2022 two Linticketcommittee members have also been employed, Astrid and Marte, and they assist Aina in her work. The Heads of Staff, Mette and Ida, have answered inquiries from members about Community Service and membership. In addition, they have invited members to Community Service, and opened the opportunity for members to sign up for Community Service by themselves on the events they wish to participate. The Heads of Staff are continuously working on improving the Linticket set up. The Heads of IT, Marisha and Martine, have during the autumn ordered new computers to everyone in Kontorfløya, and the installation has begun. This has been the biggest project for the Heads of IT this year, and it looks like we are going to meet the project’s goals before Christmas. In addition, the Heads of IT have taken care of inquiries and answered IT-related questions concerning the house. Membership numbers As of October 18th 2022, Studentsamfunnet I ÅS has 2275 members, of which 127 are international members. This is almost 36% of the students at NMBU. Lifetime members are not included in this total. Both the number of memberships and the percentage is about the same as this spring. The Board of Samfunnet hope that the interest in being a member of Studentsamfunnet i Ås is Side 11 av 58

maintained, and the Board really appreciate that so many students want to be a part of it! Thank you! Thank you to all the committee leaders and the committee members in the Administration Block! I am so grateful for your hard work, your engagement and commitment. I also really appreciate the fact that I have been able to work with you for almost a year. You have really made it a good year! The next Head of Administration is very lucky to have you on the team. I would also like to thank the General Assembly for the trust I received last autumn. I would finally like to give a big thank you to the Board of Samfunnet, who have made this a fantastic year in every way! I wish the next Head of Administration the best of luck!

Science the last General Assembly Samfunnet has been involved in carrying out a two-week long buddyweek and the first normal Semester kickoff since 2019. Buddyweek did not turn out quite as we had imagined financially, as we did not have as many guests at the event as we wanted. In contrast, the semester kickoff this fall did a good financial return. In addition to this, Samfunnet has gained many new members at the start of semester. We can happily announce that Samfunnet has beaten the budget for membership income in 2022. This will not be shown in the half year account but will be shown at the next General Assembly. Samfunnet is very pleased to see so many members are returning back to Studentsamfunnet after a long time with the pandemic.

The half-year accounts for 2022

Investments:

First mount of the first half year was imprinted by pandemic restrictions and shutdown. We were therefore not allowed to open the house until February and normal operations from the end of February. When it comes to cost Samfunnet have a new agreement this year with Siås, which means that Samfunnet has a greater responsibility over the inventory. This has resulted in slightly higher costs for the purchase of drinks at the beginning of this year. In addition to this, Samfunnet have received the first invoice for the catering agreement, which this year has increased in line with inflation. Samfunnet has also noticed the increase in cost of goods in food and drinks. Due to increased costs in the first semester and fewer major events that could generate a major income, the first half year ended with a result of NOK -21 084. This result did not end like we wanted, but hopefully next semester will be better.

Samfunnet has also been working over the past six months to seek funds to finance furniture in Halvors Hybel and Rosehagen. At Studentting 5 2022, Samfunnet was granted NOK 264 000 for this purpose. The purchase of new furniture will therefore be initiated in the near future.

Report from Head of Finance Synne Strømmen and Ola Walberg Nilssen Honorable General Assembly! This semester, the economy block consists of: Economy Assistant: Hedda Enbusk Accountants: Marit Bakken, Benjamin Kjølås Jørgensen, Yue Fang, Tina Marie Angell Chief of Climate Accounting: Johannes Fjeldså (3 committee members) KS Analysis: Herman Ellingsen (1 committee member)

The Work in the financial block: Financial assistant: Hedda has keeped doing some good work which is necessary for us to maintain our operation as a voluntary organization. The financial assistant has also continued the work of collecting purchases so that we can have more large purchases rather than several small. This in mind to reduce climate footprint and better accounting. I would like to thank Hedda so much for her efforts as financial assistant over the past year. Thanks for the great support and a great job in the financial block. Accountants:

Financial update for autumn 2022

In the last six months, Studentsamfunnet have employed three new super committed and Side 13 av 58

clever accountants: Benjamin, Yue and Tina. They have received good training and sharing experience. To ensure good quality and safety in the role, Samfunnet has fixed a good and useful user course in Visma for the accountants. Otherwise, they have continued the good work of continuous accounting for the entire student community. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Inger for her effort as our accountant over the past year. I would also like to highlight Marit for the good work you have done so far, and still doing, thank you very much. Climate accounting: Johannes and the team have since recently begun work on climate accounting for 2022. They have also continued to work towards a greener purchasing routine for the student community. Together with the leader of Samfunnet, climate accounting has worked with mapping to create a new position in Samfunnet that will work purposefully to get the entire Studentsamfunnet certified. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Johannes for his effort as KS Climate Accounts, and for the effort you haven done in the financial block. Analysis: Herman and the committee members have done a solid job assisting the various committees in the house with data processing and analysis. In the last six months, much of the time has been spent on analysis work leading up to UKA i Ås. Generally speaking, they have worked with analyzes based on events. This work is important to be able to develop the offer to members. Furthermore, they have worked to explore what other analysis- related opportunities we have at Samfunnet. Among other tings, work is being done to find a system to map the use of rooms at Samfunnet. Furthermore, I would like to thank Herman for

the effort he put in as KS analysis at the community over the past year. Eco-lighthoouse: As mentioned, Samfunnet has created a new committee chief position called Eco-lighthouse. This position has been given to Camilla, an earlier climate accounting committee member at samfunnet. This is a project based position, which will work closely with the climate change committee. The main purpose of this position is to create routines and facilitate Studentsamfunnet to apply for eco-lighthouse certification. As of today, only Uka i Ås is ecolighthouse certified, but we want the whole organization to receive the same certification. We look forward to seeing Camilla in this position. Thanks With this, I, Synne, thank you for the trust and the opportunity to work for the members of Studentsamfunnet i Ås! It has been a rather challenging, but first and foremost incredibly rewarding and educational period. I recommend everyone to attend the General Assembly. Further I want to make a huge thanks to our small and wonderful financial block for a memorable year! Finally, I would like to wish the fantastic new CFO, Ola, good luck in 2023! I really have faith in you!

Hus- og Finansstyret is the highest authority at the Studentsamfunnet i Ås between General Assemblies and works strategically to ensure a healthy and long-term management of Studentsamfunnet, its finances and building in accordance with the long term strategy. Hus- og Finansstyret has a special responsibility for making strategic assessments, in collaboration with other boards and bodies.

Side 24 av 58

So far in 2022, Hus- og Finansstyret has held three meetings and processed 36 cases (the same number for the autumn 2020 was 11 meetings and 37 cases, autumn 2021 was 4 meetings and 21 cases). Thus we have managed to reduce the number of meetings, but the number of cases has remained fairly stable. Some of the cases are also taken by email or digital meetings, as corona taught us to interact in new ways. This has meant that urgent matters can be dealt with more quickly, and the larger important matters receive good debate with plenty of time at the meetings that are held. Since the last GF, HF has had a social summer end with a workshop, and a seminar for new board members with a social evening for all boards. We have had two regular meetings, and the most important matters during these a new cooperation agreement between NMBU and Næringslivsutvalget, Puto 7: Follow-up of Studentsamfunnets Long-Term Strategy and reorganization of the boards at Studentsamfunnet. Pluto 7 has been one of the larger ongoing works at Samfunnet this year. The committee consists of Erik Sand, Michelle Seigerud, Anna Imsgard Strøm, Tord Kristian F. Andersen and Maylinn Dramstad. The committee has put a lot of effort into revising the Long-Term Strategy towards 2025, and this will be presented at this autumn's GF. At the same time, the committee has gathered a lot of inspiration through workshops, and Samfunnets survey to develop a long-term strategy towards 2035. This will, according to the plan, be presented at GF in the autumn of 2023, and this will set the course for how the Studentsamfunnet will remain relevant to the students of the future. If you want to influence this work, just contact one of the committee's members, or one of the elected board members at the Studentsamfunnet. As regards the reorganization of the boards, this is a work that is run by the Leaders' Forum. The work involves seeing whether the previous restructuring provided good solutions, but also identifying problems, and how these can be solved. The result of this work will be presented at the spring's General Assembly, and may have an impact on which board members are elected when, and whether there should be more or fewer representatives in each board. In other words, there is a lot of major organizational work being done now that operations at the building have stabilized again. Throughout the year, a number of renovations have taken place at Samfunnet, this under the auspices of the Operations and Maintenance Committee (DVU). What you can see from major upgrades to the building are new doors in Rosehagen towards Klubben and Møterommet. Work is also being done intensively on the implementation of AudMax 2024. The project is on shaky ground, due to a lack of funding from NMBU, and solutions to this are up for discussion, both in the media and at Studentsamfunnet. An important function of Hus- og Finansstyret is investments over NOK. 15,000. Since the last General Assembly, funds have been granted to upgrade PCs in Kontorfløya, new Bodega stools and a new GA banner. On behalf of the Housing and Finance Board

5.3 UKA i Ås Honored general assembly! In the midst of writing this there is only one week left of UKA i Ås 2022. We have now had 18 days of partying and UKEfeelings for everyone and all aorund. UKA i Ås consists of 35 events, 15 concerts and 12 revue shows. The range of concerts and events has been diverse and has enabled us to offer something for everyone. This year we´re especially proud of the amount of interest we have seen around our concerts. No less than four concerts have been sold out, something that has never happened in the history of UKA i Ås. We have also tripled the number of concerts at Aud.Max., something we really hope you appreciated! The revue “Tipp Topp Tommel Opp” has throughout UKA attracted the most people, and we have sold out the Student Premiere, something we consider really cool. This year we’ve generally had a high focus on safety- both regarding fire safety and party proceedings. This is something that might not be as visible, but I hope you have felt safe at the house despite great amounts of people and crowds. The Bar Crew has also worked hard to make sure our guests have a fine selection in our bars. We have had a bunch of UKEbeer and UKEwines that we hope the guests have appreciated. UKAs great headliner “Sløyfa” has also been a huge success, and we really appreciate all the associations and the efforts they have put into each and every bar. The UKEgrill has also had a broad selection of vegetarian and allergy-friendly offers. We are very pleased with this year's UKEsong, which is a cooperation between UKA i Ås and Hagle. It has been a fun project to work with, and we hope it will bring extra excitement in face of the upcoming concert. We´ve also had a focus on reuse throughout our organization. This is probably most visible through our cooperation with Fretex, which amongst others has resulted in reused materials and clothing in all costumes used in the UKErevue. We have also gotten several used items for the UKEhelps Reuse Day. Finally, we want to give a huge thanks to all volunteers that have put in efforts to make UKA i Ås 2022 possible! Thank you for working day and night, and prioritizing UKA over partying and school! We hope you have had a great time during UKA i Ås 2022! 5.4 The Business Committee at NMBU Honorable General Assembly! The Board in the autumn of 2022 consists of: Leader - Nora Christine Hjelme Head of administration - Helene Drechsler Head of career day - Siril Bjørke Upcoming head of career day - Hannah Storum Head of events - Thea Dyring Head of sponsorship - Magnus Sørhaug Wæhre Head of marketing - Vishnupriya Jayachandran Generally The Business Committee at NMBU (NU) has been doing a lot of different things this semester. Among other things, we have worked on renegotiating the collaboration agreement with NMBU. This mainly involves looking at the development of the career fairs and the sponsor team. For example, we have now changed the name of our career fairs to Career Day Autumn and Career Day Spring. We also work continuously with the organizational development of NU. In addition to this, NU has worked on various matters which will be described in more detail below. Career day autumn 2022 This autumn, it was a great pleasure to be able to arrange the career day, as it is the first physical career day in 2,5 years. We celebrated this by having 71 businesses fill all available rooms (and tents). Already 15 minutes after opening, there was a queue to enter the career fair. We do not have a good estimate of how many students visited, but there was good pressure throughout the opening hours. It is therefore natural to think that close to 2,000 students stopped by during the day. Following inspiration from the digital career fairs, this year we arranged business presentations throughout the day in Halvors Hybel. This worked very well, and is something we will try to continue with. Other events and activities This semester, NU has organized a workshop in collaboration with KPMG, workshop in collaboration with Mesta called Sustainnovation, a jobseeker's course, as well as a tips and tricks course in preparation for the career day. All arrangements were well carried out. NU is continuously working to include the line associations to a greater extent, so that both can use our network as a resource. Therefore, among other things, a workshop will be organized with the line associations in November. When it comes to marketing, NU has focused on being active on social media to reach all NMBU students. Our following has increased, and the insight figures show that there are now more people who visit our pages regularly. NU has also expanded the marketing team with a new committee manager. The career fund

Side 27 av 58

The career fund consists of 15% of last year's surplus to the Business Committee. During 2021, NOK 77,500 was distributed for career-promoting activities for students at NMBU. The next deadline for applying for the career fund this autumn is 20 November. The funds that are not distributed are earmarked for the Samfunnet Building. Guidelines, application forms and previous distributions are available at www.nunmbu.no. Sponsor work The sponsor team is led by the head of sponsorship in the Business Committee. The team works to coordinate the sponsorship work that is carried out by Studentsamfunnet in the best possible way. The sponsorship responsibility of the Business Committee now includes Samfunnet i Ås, UKA i Ås and Tuntreet. The first event the sponsor team worked on this semester was the big Barbecue during Fadderuka. The event was carried out well and the goal of the barbecue being a break-even event was met. Leading up to UKA, the sponsorship team has worked with existing sponsors for UKA, as well as landing some new ones. Work has been done to include Tuntreet in the sponsorship agreements, which the team has succeeded in doing in a couple of cases. The team has also worked to determine details around events and marketing together with the sponsors of UKA and the UKA organisation. In addition to this, the sponsor team has been expanded with two new committee heads. The sponsor manager is also working on creating a structure for the "new sponsor team". Climate The Business Committee has assessed its own activities to try to reduce the committee's climate footprint. The majority of the greenhouse gas emissions to the Business Committee arise from food and drink at various events, as well as the purchase of jumpers and t-shirts. These are emissions that are challenging to reduce, but the Business Committee continues to find new ways to reduce emissions. On behalf of the Board of the Business Committee, Nora Christine Hjelme, leader of the Business Committee at NMBU 2022

5.5 Tuntreet Honourable General Assembly! The Tuntreet staff Today, the staff of Tuntreet consists of 39 contracted members, including heads of committees and editors. We also have a decent group of freelancers. Tuntreet’s staff are journalists, photographers, proofreaders, translators, layout workers, illustrators, and distributors. Recently, we have also started looking into the creation of a committee position as editorial secretary, who can help out with the administrative part of the student newspaper. Those with positions of responsibility in Tuntreet for autumn 2022 are: Editor-in-chief: Sofie Bergset Janols Managing editor: Synne Louise Stromme Head of photography: Margreta Brunborg Head of layout: Sara Thu Head of translation: Julie Hauge Blindheim Head of proofreading: Andrine Stengrundet Editions In 2022, the number of printed editions has been 800 Norwegian and 200 English issues. Previously, not all of these have been picked up at campus, and we’ve had to get rid of some. To combat this issue, we have focused on improving our distribution. We invested in more magazine stands during the spring period, and these arrived in time for TT05. Currently, we have magazine stands in most places on campus where there are students, in addition to Ås kvartal. We also conducted a reader´s survey last spring and have used the feedback from this. This autumn, the editions have more or less disappeared from the magazine stands, which is super fun. We consider this a sign that both the distribution and the editions in themselves are functioning well. Because of this, we tried out increasing the number of printed editions for TT07 and TT08 to 850 Norwegian and 250 English issues. However, due to the high printing costs, we have had to go back on this. Finances Printing costs are Tuntreet´s largest expense. These have gone up a lot in 2021 and 2022, as the price of paper has seen a significant increase. We have good contact with our printing company, who believes the prices are starting to stabilize. Still, this budget post needs a lot more than before, and we have to get creative in order to reach the goal of Tuntreet breaking even. A big part of Tuntreet´s income comes through financial support from NMBU. This financial support has increased a bit in 2022, but not enough to cover the increased printing costs. Apart from that, we have had a good collaboration with NU´s sponsor team, who are making sure that Tuntreet gets advertisements. For 2023, we are budgeting for getting more ads than we have had in 2022. In addition, we are looking into and applying for more external financial support. Side 29 av 58

We have also been a bit stricter with the rest of our budget to slash some expenses, but our license costs are still budgeted as a significant expense. This is because we did not have the time to get licenses through TechSoup before last year´s licences expired. If Samfunnet has good experience with the TechSoup solution, it is likely that Tuntreet move on to this next autumn. Web and social media All of Tuntreet´s editions can be found online at https://issuu.com/tuntreet . On our web page, https://tuntreet.org/ , we post a selection of articles in English and Norwegian. We also have a debate page there, where we post letter-to-the editor as we receive them. As usual, we are working on becoming more present on social media. This spring, we were not where we wanted to be in terms of presence on Instagram, but this autumn, the Tuntreet Instagram has come back to life. We have also conducted quite a few surveys shared on Facebook, but we´re experiencing that there are fewer respondents than earlier. Thanks I would like to thank the staff of Tuntret for all the work they have put into this year´s (and previous) editions. This is a really talented, not to mention, fun, group of people. My committee heads also deserve a thank-you for making the editors’ work that much easier, by helping out with the organisation, sharing knowledge and spreading good vibes. This goes for the people in Kontorfløya as well. In the end, I want to thank my co-editors, Simen and Synne, for good cooperation, and for many good times together inside and outside of the office. I wish Synne good luck as the new editor-in-chief, and I also want to wish the new managing editor the best of luck in the position (with a great faith that this will work out really well).

Proposed resolution The General Assembly takes note of the matter.

Case 6 Strategy for Studentsamfunnet i Ås Background: The long-term strategy for Studentsamfunnet i Ås extends until 2025. The strategy will be revised every three years, with the first revision was in 2019, and the other now in 2022. The strategy consists of four parts: 1. 2. 3. 4.

Purpose clause (not to be changed) The overall goal Long-term strategy Work program

The process of revising the strategy: Pluto 7 is a committee that has been working with the long-term strategy of Studentsamfunnet i Ås since it was appointed by the Board of House and Finance in November 2021. Through three board seminars, Samfunnet’s survey and monthly meetings, the committee has received input on realistic goals with a view to achieving them by 2025. The revision has been done with closely help from the Board of House and Finance, and the board has made its input in the final phase before handing the strategy over to the General Assembly. Consideration of the strategy at the General Assembly: The strategy is presented in its entirety in the papers so that GF can see the connection between the different parts. In the case papers you will find suggestions for a new strategy, and you will find the old strategy (current) as an attachment for you to compare. At the General Assembly the case will be dealt with in accordance with the articles of association (§3.4.2), the treatment is divided into three parts: 1. Approval of Studentsamfunnet’s overall goal 2. Approval of Studentsamfunnet’s long-term strategy 3. Approval of the work program for the coming year The Board of House and Finance will present point 1 and 2, while the board of Samfunnet will present point 3. After each presentation, it is opened for debate before the GA goes to voting and approval. It is permitted to promote amendment, proposals for deletion or proposals for new points. Such proposals should be presented in the debate and submitted in writing to the board. It is a good thing to plan such proposals in advance. You can also submit amendments in advance through this form (until the meeting starts): https://forms.gle/xfChJLcLfY961jTE7

6.b Approval of Studentsamfunnet’s long-term strategy Se appendix 1 and 2 for respectively new and old version of Studentsamfunnets strategy. Proposed resolution The General Assembly approves the revised long-term strategy of Studentsamfunnet i Ås.

6.c Approval of the Work Program for 2023 Studentsamfunnet in Ås' work program are short-term goals for the long-term strategy that was adopted at the General Assembly in the autumn of 2019. The work program is revised annually. The purpose of the work program is to have a concrete plan for the priorities to be made in Studentsamfunnets work in the coming year. The proposal for the work program for 2023 has been prepared on the basis of the long-term strategy adopted in the autumn of 2019. The work program is a tool that will help the bodies to ensure that the development and operation of the house is in line with the adopted long-term strategy. -

Goals reached in 2022, and which do not require annual evaluation, have been removed from the work program. The goals that have been achieved in 2022, but which for various reasons are desirable to include further, have been revised and are also included in the work program for 2023. New goals that Studentsamfunnet wants to achieve during 2023 have been added to the work program.

See Appendix 1 for Studentsamfunnet’s work program for 2023, and appendix 2 for the work program for 2022.

Proposed resolution The General Assembly approves the work program for 2023.

Case 7 Approval of budgets for Studentsamfunnet i Ås for 2022 Short on the return requirements in the budget The board of House and Finance (HF) sets annual return requirements for the boards of Studentsamfunnet. This is one of the tasks of HF, cf. the articles of association § 4.1.4. The required rate of return is set as a percentage and says what percentage of turnover the individual board of directors will leave as a profit at the end of the year.

In addition to the return requirements, the budgets of the individual boards are also submitted to HF for approval before being sent to GA.

Case 8: Cases received in accordance with applicable deadlines 8.1 Changes in Articles of Association Suggestion 1 (F1): Suggested by the members Simen Walbækken Tangen and Tord Kristian Fjellheim Background The articles of association for Tuntreet, in our opinion, has needed a bit of cleaning up and should clearly show that they are the statutes of a student newspaper. This is an attempt to concretize purpose and responsibility, without restricting the freedom of the editorial staff. Today's purpose clause is not concrete enough on what purpose Tuntreet has beyond contributing to overall strategy and compliance with Studentsamfunnet’s articles of association. "Tuntreet shall inform about activities and matters pertaining to NMBU, Studentsamfunnet i Ås and students’ areas of interest." is taken from today's 4.4.3 Responsibilities, and edited. With this sentence, Tuntreet's existence is concretized and should encompass more than just the members of Studentsamfunnet i Ås. "Tuntreet shall and must be a student newspaper." is taken verbatim from the editorial in the very first edition in 1946, where it is explained what Tuntreet is intended to be. In this we add that Tuntreet shall be a student newspaper, by and for students. We have left "Tuntreet shall seek information and conduct critical journalism." from what we propose to move to the purpose clause, as this is largely a matter of methods, and not purpose. This is to ensure that the content will have a certain substance, and to specify the responsibility Tuntreet has for carrying out investigative journalism. "Tuntreet shall be run in a responsible manner according to established journalistic principles." will ensure that the newspaper is run in an ethical manner. We believe that the changes to the articles of association will not affect Tuntreet's operations to a large extent, as proposed changes reflect how we ourselves experience Tuntreet's current purpose and responsibilities. In the English version we have also proposed some minor changes in language, largely to reflect how Tuntreet usually translate certain Norwegian expressions.

Proposed resolution § 4.4 TUNTREET § 4.4.1 Purpose

Tuntreet is a body at Studentsamfunnet i Ås. Tuntreet shall help ensure that Studentsamfunnet’s established strategy is fulfilled, and that Studentsamfunnet’s Articles of Association are complied with. Tuntreet shall inform about activities and matters pertaining to NMBU, Studentsamfunnet i Ås and students’ areas of interest. Tuntreet shall and must be a student newspaper.

§ 4.4.2 Tuntreet’s management Tuntreet’s management consists of two editors. The first period they shall operate as journalistic managing editor, and the other second period as a chief editor editor-in-chief. The chief editor editorin-chief is the head of Tuntreet.

§ 4.4.3 Responsibilities Tuntreet will seek information and conduct critical journalism about activities and issues at NMBU and at Studentsamfunnet i Ås. Tuntreet shall seek information and conduct critical journalism. Tuntreet shall capture moods, convey debates and be a channel for writers who want to share experiences and views with the reader.

§ 4.4.4 Ethical guidelines Tuntreet shall be run in a responsible manner according to established journalistic principles.

The Board of House and Finance’s evaluation The Board of House and Finance stands behind the proposal.

8.2 The Candidate Ring suggested by Ringfestkomiteen 2022 by Ruben Rygh Background The candidate ring, which has been worn with pride by NMBU candidates since 1930, has become very expensive in recent years. Today, the ring costs NOK 9,200 for the men's ring and NOK 7,490 for the ladies' ring. In comparison, the prices were NOK 5,890/4,990 in 2018, and NOK 4,800/3,700 in 2015. There is reason to believe that this price increase will continue, and in fear that the ring will soon become too expensive for NMBU candidates to buy the ring, work has been started to lower the price of the candidate ring. The design has remained unchanged since 1930 and will continue to be. The symbolism behind the pentagram is the first five fields of study at NLH from 1859: agriculture, forestry, horticulture, dairying and property law. This is also the same symbolism that has given its name to our oldest student town, Pentagon. However, the material composition has changed several times throughout history. The ring was originally made of steel and gold, but was changed to white gold and gold due to allergy concerns. The reason why the candidate ring has become so expensive is mainly the material composition and the price of the alloys used. In particular, the price of palladium, a necessary metal in the alloy white gold, has contributed to the large price increase. The value of the ring does not lie in the material it is made of, but in the symbolic value and that the students actually continue to wear the ring after their studies are over. This autumn, Mestergull, at the request of Ringfestkomiteen 2022, in consultation with Studentsamfunnet i Ås and the Board of House and Finance, worked on preparing a proposal for a ring in the original materials, steel and gold. This will help to lower the price of the ring, without compromising durability or the symbolic value. If the General Assembly votes through this change, the new option will already be available to next year's candidates. The ring as it is today, with gold and white gold, will still be possible to buy for those with allergies or who for other reasons may want it.

Proposed resolution The General Assembly supports a change in the material composition of the candidate ring to steel and gold, and that today’s candidate ting still will be able to be produced and purchased. 38
