10.1 The Board of Samfunnet Leader

Running for election:

I want to contribute to better cohesion and camaraderie among the volunteers, by setting up several low-threshold social events. I also want to make rest of the student body aware of the incredibly benefits of being a volunteer, and how this can contribute to a better student life and more well-being And last, but not least, I want to achieve this in collaboration with the rest of the student volunteering here in Ås, by strengthening existing communication channels and joint collaboration arenas

Since I started at NMBU in 2018, I have completed a bachelor's in international environmental and development studies, and am now in the 2nd year of an integrated master's in construction engineering and architecture During these years, I have gained knowledge and experience in a wide variety of positions This includes committee chief entry for Samfunnet; positions for UKA in 2018, 2020 and 2022; student council leader and faculty board representative at REALTEK; finance manager for DÅs; and more.

Honorable General Assembly!

My name is Maja, I am 24 years old, and for almost 5 years I have had the honor of calling Ås my home. I hereby wish to run for election as Leader of Samfunnsstyret.

Student volunteering is what has contributed to the fact that I've had an incredibly good time here in Ås, but unfortunately engagement has gone down recently. Many students do not see the value in volunteering, which I think is very sad. Personally, I have gained an incredible amount of joy through the positions I´ve held, and I want more people to have the opportunity to do the same

Through these positions, I have gained a good knowledge of how Samfunnet works, and how the voluntary organizations in Ås work together. I have learned what it is like to sit on a board and have a lot of responsibility, and how to facilitate good cooperation and everyone’s opinions are heard. Several of the positions have also taught me how to handle stressful and demanding situations, and how to have structure my everyday life

I hope you will give me the confidence to be the next leader of Samfunnsstyret.
