Honorable General Assembly!

My name is Maja, I am 24 years old, and for almost 5 years I have had the honor of calling Ås my home. I hereby wish to run for election as Leader of Samfunnsstyret.

Student volunteering is what has contributed to the fact that I've had an incredibly good time here in Ås, but unfortunately engagement has gone down recently. Many students do not see the value in volunteering, which I think is very sad. Personally, I have gained an incredible amount of joy through the positions I´ve held, and I want more people to have the opportunity to do the same.

I want to contribute to better cohesion and camaraderie among the volunteers, by setting up several low-threshold social events. I also want to make rest of the student body aware of the incredibly benefits of being a volunteer, and how this can contribute to a better student life and more well-being. And last, but not least, I want to achieve this in collaboration with the rest of the student volunteering here in Ås, by strengthening existing communication channels and joint collaboration arenas.

Since I started at NMBU in 2018, I have completed a bachelor's in international environmental and development studies, and am now in the 2nd year of an integrated master's in construction engineering and architecture. During these years, I have gained knowledge and experience in a wide variety of positions. This includes committee chief entry for Samfunnet; positions for UKA in 2018, 2020 and 2022; student council leader and faculty board representative at REALTEK; finance manager for DÅs; and more.

Through these positions, I have gained a good knowledge of how Samfunnet works, and how the voluntary organizations in Ås work together. I have learned what it is like to sit on a board and have a lot of responsibility, and how to facilitate good cooperation and everyone’s opinions are heard. Several of the positions have also taught me how to handle stressful and demanding situations, and how to have structure my everyday life.

I hope you will give me the confidence to be the next leader of Samfunnsstyret.

These experiences have resulted in my engagement for the NMBU students and their apperance through relevant and fun events, and what better way to contribute than the Business Committee! As Head of Event I want to continue the important work with showing of the unique students here at NMBU, through both fun, innovative and network-building events. Furthermore, I want to emphasize creativity, involvement and the opportunity of orientating and networking with the company representatives. Events such as speed-dating with companies relevant for a number of study programs had been awesome!

My name is Ingrid Rustad Røflo, I am 20 years old and in my second year of a bachelor degree in Aquaculture. Engagement in the student environment is very important, and last year I was a committee member in Klubben – a really enjoyable and social position at Samfunnet i Ås. However, I still have the need to contribute to the student environment. Therefore, I hereby apply for the position as Head of Event for the Business Committee.

The bachelors degree in Aquaculture here at NMBU started the autumn of 2021. In relation, I was part of the establishment of the interest assosciation of aquaculture here at NMBU, AQUA Student organisation. Marketing and advertising to the business world, especially in the early years of the study program, was quite some challenge. It required courage, optimism and motivation – such that sponsor contracts lined up and we could arrange fun events for both students and relevant companies.

association from my first semester, and already in my first semester I started planning the upcoming Buddy Week as a Buddy Chief for RealTek. In my second year, I became Buddy General and worked to ensure that future Buddy Generals would be remunerated. During my full-time year in the Student Parliament's Student Board, I gained a broad insight into processes and the work at NMBU, and experience in collaboration with actors such as volunteers or the municipality.

Here I sat, among other things, on the Learning Environment Committee and the Study Committee at NMBU. Recently, I have also sat on the Central Board of the Norwegian Student Organization. Here I have learned a lot about good culture in board work. It has also given me an indication of trends nationally, which I hope I can contribute with to the Housing and Finance Board.

If I get the opportunity to sit as a student representative, I look forward to being able to work long-term with the building and the organisation. I believe that I can contribute well to the work on the new strategy and will be an active and clear voice when the policy of Samfunnet is to be shaped.

Dear General Assembly, I hereby wish to forward my candidacy for student representative on the Housing and Finance Board at Studentsamfunnet i Ås. My name is Vegard Sjaastad Hansen, and I am 27 years old, of which I have spent the last four and a half here at NMBU. Right from the start, I have been involved with Studentsamfunnet i Ås. I became a member in time for my first event at Samfunnet and since then have always had a strong connection to the organisation, the building and the people that make up Studentsamfunnet i Ås.

To summarize the positions I have had at Samfunnet, I started as a translator in Tuntreet in my second semester. In my third semester, I ran for election at GF for the election committee. Outside of Samfunnet, I have had a long list of positions. I was on the board of the environmental physicists

Presentation of Vilde Kjelsrud

Dear General Assembly, My name is Vilde, I am 24 years old and come from Gjøvik. This is my fourth year at NMBU, where I am studying for a master's degree in biology. During my time at NMBU, I have found enormous joy in the great student community we have here in Ås. I have spent most of my time at Studentsamfunnet, which has become my second home. I have attended countless evenings at various events, including being part of the UKA 2020 and serving as HR manager. In the past year, I have also had the honor of serving as the leader of the Samfunnet.

Although my time on the Samfunnsstyret is over, I do not feel finished yet, and I have therefore looked for other ways to express my ideas and enthusiasm. Through my time here, I have developed a deep attachment to the Studentsamfunnet, and I wish to contribute even more. Therefore, I hereby submit my candidacy as a student representative for the House and Finance Committee.

In the past year, I have been a member of the House and Finance Committee through my role as the leader of Samfunnet. As a result, I have gained a broad insight into the overarching issues related to the building,

strategy, investment, and organizational development. As a leader, I have gained an understanding of agreements and collaborations with various stakeholders, including NMBU and SiÅs. I have also gained insight into how the Studentsamfunnet operates in various areas and the challenges we face. I wish to use my role as a leader, but most importantly, my role as HR manager, to work towards creating a safe organization for everyone.

I wish to continue working towards making the Studentsamfunnet an engaging, fun, educational, and safe environment for everyone who works or visits the house – regardless of whether they are volunteers or visitors. I believe that the House and Finance Committee play a crucial role in achieving this because they are responsible for the long-term management and direction of the house. I believe that having a student representative in the committee is a significant advantage because it is the students' voice that speaks to what works now and can provide insight into what the future may hold.

I am cooperative and consider myself to be a sociable person. I enjoy working on boards and listening to the ideas of others without being afraid to express my own. One cannot be afraid of change and must act where needed while also being willing to preserve what works. I have a burning desire to make the Student Society as excellent as possible and improve it for current and future students.

Dear General Assembly! My name is Gunnhild Finstad. I am 23 years old, from Rendalen and in my 3rd year of forestry studies. Hereby I stand for the election committee.

I have been involved in many different things here at Ås. This has given me a wide network that will come in handy in the tribunal. My knowledge at NMBU spans many different studies and age levels, and this diversity is important for the entire Student Community in Ås.

I see myself as outgoing, sociable, and able to work hard. The job of recruiting new people to the Student Association in Ås will therefore not be a challenge for me. After three years at Ås, I see the importance of informing and motivating new (and old) students in the right way. The student community is nothing without hard work, and I am motivated to continue this spirit of hard work!

Life is like a voluntary work, it helps to show up!

Dear General Assembly! My name is Anne-Guro Bekken, I am 25 years old, in my fourth year at NMBU and I study animal science. I hereby stand for the election committee.

Since starting my studies the autumn 2019, I have had the pleasure of taking part in many different events here at Ås. This has given me good insight into how association life, the Student Association and UKA in Ås are connected. Now the studies are coming to an end and I am very motivated to make the most out of my time left as a student.

In almost four years, I have established a large and solid network which I am ready to expand even more. Life in association and affiliation with two faculties has made it possible for me to easily reach out to many future contributors. Diversity among the people who work for the Student Association in Ås is one of the most important things we emphasize. I would describe myself as a structured, social and engaged student and I hope I can use this in Valgnemnda .

The fact that I am in the second year means that I will be able to devote all my time to UKA before the seriousness of the master paper begins.

With best regards My name is Emilie Aaen, I am 20 years old, and I am in my second year Property and Land Law, and I come from Hadeland. And I am going to run as UKEboss for UKA 2024!!

When I came to Ås, I was quickly captivated by the great and wonderful engagement that is here. Already in the first autumn, I became a volunteer at Samfunnet, and I don't regret it for a second! My first position was Events Assistant, and after that it just became more. I became chief of the Nordic Games, secretary of Jordskifterlaget, when I was done as Event Assistant, I became KS Sprellfestivalen and last, but certainly not least, I was a STUNTfunkis during UKA i Ås 2022.

I am running as UKEboss because I have an extremely strong desire to be able to contribute to creating the wonderful UKE feeling! Being able to possibly lead an organization that engages so many volunteers is something completely unique to us here in Ås, and something I want to be a part of!

There's no hiding the fact that it's a little extra cool that there's an anniversary right around the corner! It makes you want to go the extra mile to be able to create the anniversary that UKA and the Ås students really deserve.

weeks bursting with activities. I know that planning just one week is incredibly fun, from my time buddychief, so I can only imagine the joy of planning a whole month. So, I want to go ALL IN and shape the sickest and best Ås has to offer, namely UKA. In my time as deputy at both NITO and the Student Council, I have experienced varied types of administrative work. I have developed routines, techniques and strategies, which give me a good basis for the administrative tasks that await an adminsjef.

As buddycheif, I have experienced the raw workload that comes with planning a large number of events in a short period of time.

Planning, organizing and completion of these events has prepared me for what can await me under the same circumstances during UKA.

Dear General Assembly, My name is Ben Børilden, and I hereby throwing inn my hat for the posistion as Head of Administration on the UKA-2024.

I am 22 years old and come from a small village in Alver called Eikangervåg. In March 2020, I traveled from Eikanger to NMBU on an open day to experience the campus and student life. The student life that was shown to me at the Open Day was like a magnet for me, so after that day my goal was set; I was going to NMBU. And now after three years on a bachelor's degree in chemistry, I can say that it was the best decision of my life.

Since I started at NMBU, I have visited many different positions that student life had to offer; Deputy of both NITO Students NMBU and the Student council KBM, Head of events in the line association Molekylet, and head of the buddyweek KBM and as of today I work as a security guard in the security committee. In November 2022, I received the chance to help shape Fadderuka 2023, I took that chance, and have been chosen as Buddy General 2023.

It's still a bit early in the role now, but I already feel the joy of putting in countless hours of work to plan, manage and shape two

My name is Otto Engum. I am 23 years old from Bergen, and am in my second year at City and Regional Planning. With this, I hereby stand for election as Head of Events at UKA. In my two short years here at the university, I have spent a lot of time here on Samfunnet.

There I started as NK in the bar committee and have since taken on several roles such as Skjenkevakt here at the Samfunnet.

During UKA 2022 I had a lot of fun, and I got some of my best memories from my time at the festival. There I got to both work and met many new wonderful people. During UKA, I was bar manager for an association in sløyfa and worked on the bar committee, which I found very rewarding.

I want to apply as events manager because I see myself as a committed and a outgoing person, who wants to contribute more to Samfunnet and UKA. Now, I am also the event manager for the 2023 Nordisk Landskamp 2023, which I really enjoy. Therefore, I see this

I have a lot of good experience to take with me into such a position. Since August, I have had the pleasure of having a job that has given me a good knowledge of NMBU and SiÅs. The job has also given me good experience in organization and teamwork. These are elements that I see as important in a board position under UKA, where you must work closely with each other. I have and got to know the commitment that exists here at Ås through the line association, choir, volunteering at Samfunnet and Studentdemokratiet. Otherwise, other good qualities I have to offer are: creativity, thinking outside the box, a good mood, commitment and motivation!

I have already mentioned some of the reasons why I want to become marketing manager, but most importantly I want to be able to use my commitment and my love for the study environment here at Ås to be able to create the best UKA of all time.

My name is Helene Sylvarnes and I am running for Marketing Manager for UKA. I am 25 years old, born and raised in Bergen, studied for three years in Førde, the center of the world, before I ended up at Ås in autumn 2020. I had heard a lot of good things about Ås and was ready to embark on a new student life with everything it had to offer. And even though autumn 2020 was like a bike ride with constant braking, I also got to be part of one of the coolest experiences which was in 2020.

I was a Trivesel official, and my commitment to UKA had only just begun. During UKA22, the decision that I should take part was easy, it was worse to know where, but I ended up in the marketing block, more specifically UKEpodden and UKEmagasinet. Now that I have decided that I will stay at Ås for another 2 years, I will take the trip all the way up. I

production you rarely work alone and it is therefore important to form good relationships - with good relationships you can carry out both the production of the film, but also other aspects of festival planning in an efficient manner. I experienced this through collaboration with volunteers across the UKEorganisation.

At Fagverket and Energiseminaret, I mainly worked with communication and establishing good relationships with relevant companies. I want to take this experience with me further and use it as the Head of Marketing, as the block works with exactly that - communication and establishing good relationships with both students and other players who make UKA in Ås bigger and better every time.

My name is Janihar Manohar, I am 21 years old, and I’m in my 3rd year of Civil Engineering and Architecture. I’m hereby running as head of marketing for UKA in Ås 2024!

When I started my first semester at Ås, UKA 2020 was just around the corner. Here, I signed up as a bar-funksjonær and got my first insight into volunteering at NMBU. But it wasn't until the second year that it really started to pick up. I became responcible for company-relations for the line association, joined the economic group of Energiseminaret, and resumed a hobby by applying to the film committee for UKA 2020.

At the latter, I was NK Film and documented during miniUKA before I took over as KS a couple of months later.

As Head of Film, I experienced what it was like to handle responsibility for several productions at the same time and training others where it was important to have a good overview and follow up on your team. I myself got to brush up on several projects such as theAftermovie, UKE-summaries, promos and an interview which afterwards showed me where the focus could have been and what attracts attention. I can take this with me into other aspects of marketing. In video

Through these positions, I have learned a great deal and have been lucky enough to have met an incredible number of committed and talented people. UKA has given me some of the best memories here at Ås, and I myself want to help give the same experience to all students at NMBU. My experiences from media production and party nights, in addition to my collaborative skills and ability to communicate with the business world, give me a good foundation as head of marketing. I think these qualities, in addition to my personal commitment and motivation, make me a good candidate to contribute to the 100th anniversary of UKA in Ås being the best student festival of all time!

Honorable General Assembly!

My name is Ronja Daniloff, and I am hereby running for election as head of revue!

I am 22 years old, and come from Alta. I am finishing my third year on the bachelor in ecology and nature management, and will continue with my masters next year.

I was shocked when I started at NMBU in 2020 and could not join as UKEactor in the revue the coming month. I have gained understanding now, after being an actor in UKErevyen 2022, which appeared to be a larger production than I could imagine, and the very core of the UKEfestival.

As a former UKEactor I have gained insight into both the creative and the administrative process that lies behind the revue. I loved the year with creative, silly and long days as an actor. Now I wish to be on the other side of the production and facilitate so that others can experience the same joys of revue as I did.

I have been engaged in revue, theatre, and production ever since I was little, from the cultural school, to the drama line and the russerevue. I have always enjoyed taking the directing role, standing on the side of the stage, shaping what happens there. I have also had a number of voluntary positions in organizations and festivals, where I have gained experience in teamwork and administration. It is safe to say that I am an engaged and determined girl, and people who know me know that I won’t stop fighting if I have a case that I burn for.

The revue block is a massive group of sound technicians, musicians, writers, stage workers, choreographers, makeup artists (and more!), who are very excited about a joint project, and who are willing to put in several more hours than many others. Now that the UKErevue is celebrating 100 years, the production and all the people behind it deserve more creative trust, advocacy, laughter, resources and respect than ever. As head of the revue I will make sure this happens through being an appellant for the revue in the UKEboard, ensure good communication within the revue, and by being available to everyone in the block.

I am super excited for the work together with the rest of the members of the UKEboard with arranging the most awesome UKEfestival 2024! I like having a lot of stuff to do, so to be a part of building the longest cultural festival in Norway from the bottom, and at the same time have the ultimate responsibility for the entire revue production, is a challenge I will take with great gratitude. I will make sure the revue gets the spot it deserves on the discussion table, and I will actively participate in the decisions for the rest of the festival.

If you choose me as head of revue, I have almost 100 big shoes to fill. And even though I have small feet I will give it my best try.

After a year of UKErevue, i got the responsibility for the first Hunkattrevue in four years. I greatly enjoyed seeing the administrative side to a revue, and to do this on an even bigger scale would be a true honor.

To be the Head of Revue the year that the revue celebrates 100 years, is a great responsibility. I am prepared to work both seriously and ambitiously, while also having fun the entire way. I want the UKErevue 2024 to make people feel ways they haven’t before – I want tears of laughter, roars of anger and generally an amazing show, which will leave people both happy and confused.

My name is Aurora Helland, and I hereby stand for election as Head of Revue for UKA i Ås 2024! I am 21 years old, on my third year of my bachelor’s degree in renewable energy, and I’m from Fredrikstad in Østfold (which is back again).

During my time here at Ås, I’ve managed to engage myself a little all over the place in the Student Society. I starded my time here as a volunteer in the bar committee during UKA 2020, while working in a grocery store. After a small Covid-break, i took a leap into the Student Society for real – both in the UKErevue, Næringslivsutvalget, Foreningen Hunkatten and now Samfunnet and Tuntreet.

In other words, I am used to having responsibility and i know that what motivates me most is the culture for volunteering here at Ås.

During my first year here at Ås, I didn’t really get what the deal was with revues. It wasn’t until i saw the UKErevue in Trondheim 2021 that i really got it. I was lucky to become a part of the ensemble of the UKErevue 2022, and now i can happily say that I’ve spent three times more time on revues than my education since then.

To make this happen, I am ready to lead a team of amazing people – because the best part of the UKErevue is when all the hidden talents at Ås suddenly pop up and start sewing costumes, playing instruments and controlling more advanced sound equipment than what my brain can comprehend. The UKErevue has been like family to me, and to be a part of giving this to the next Revyblokk would be a responsibility I would greatly respect.

here. My focus will primarily be on good routines and good instructions for those who are at work, both those who work with catering and keeping the house in order. I like to put things in order, and will work together with my block to create clear systems for the whole festival. There should be no doubt about what happens during the party night. It is best for those who are at work, and those who are going to have fun at a party.

Furthermore, it is about creating a good relationship and trust between those who work and those who are at the party. A festival manager is responsible for many comitée chiefs, who have many volunteers under them. We are all at work, and together we work to ensure that everyone has a pleasant festival experience. Those of us who work with party management must be treated as what we are - volunteers who work for the community.

Hi! My name is Jakob, and I am hereby applying as Party Manager for UKA in Ås.

As party manager, I will provide experience with party management, in addition to a love for UKA in Ås and volunteering. I have worked with UKA in Ås twice and seen Norway's longest and best student festival up close, and will give everything to continue the good work and develop UKA in Ås further.

When I started at Ås, I joined the bar as NK during UKA in Ås 2020, and have since continued as bar manager for Samfunnet, where I have now been for over two years. I really enjoyed it there, and went on to KS barteknisk under the former serving block for UKA in Ås. In addition, I am a bar attendant for SiÅs. Bar has been my niche, and it has given me useful insight into both the catering industry and party management at the house.

What is important when in party management during the festival? There are many answers

Through the previous serving block, I have gained an eye for what we students buy in terms of food and drink on party nights. I will pass on what was done correctly at the previous festival, and also have a good starting point for further developing the catering offer at the house.

It is the anniversary, and it is important that this be the best UKA in Ås ever. We will achieve that together. With me as the party manager, I can promise you smooth running of the party and the best ever selection of food and drink in the house.

I am motivated, feel the UKEfeeling creeping back, and hope you will vote for me during the general assembly.
