Once upon a time, a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and that she didn’t know how she was going to make it. She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time. It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon followed. Her father, a chef, took her to the kitchen. He filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire.

About Being a family owned business, the idea of starting a coffee shop was to fill a gap that was silently sitting at the back of peoples minds. The idea of having a comfortable, cozy retreat where you could also get a quick bite, a dessert of your choice and a coffee to stimulate the brain sounded more enticing and plausible as we asked relatives and friends for feedback.

In a very short time, Café Aroma became a name of a coffeehouse that catered for everyone regardless of age, creed, race, socioeconomic background or tastes; there was something for everyone to enjoy and talk about afterwards.

At Café Aroma, we are always pleased and proud that we source home grown Tanzanian arabica coffee which our baristas prepare to perfection.

Delivering a selection of beverages way beyond the traditional coffee shop norms, and cater to the customer and their needs, whatever they would be.

For the busy working lifestyles around Dar es Salaam residents, our fully equipped takeaway section does due diligence. Our food menu offers the best of any coffee shop in Dar-es-Salaam, and we plan to keep it so that we are the trend setters for cafés around Dar es Salaam and even throughout Tanzania.
