Gio Ponti was born in Milan in 1891.

Father of the Made in Italy design, he is one of the most important representatives of Italian rationalism: through his constant architectural research, one can find an extreme synthesis and formal balance in all his works.

Gio Ponti wurde 1891 in Mailand geboren.

Als Pionier des italienischen Designs ist er einer der wichtigsten Vertreter des italienischen Rationalismus: Durch seine permanenten architektonischen Studien sind seine Werke durch eine perfekte Synthese und formale Ausgewogenheit gekennzeichnet.

The Centrepiece project was unpublished until 2013, when Sambonet finally brought the project to light. It was immediately awarded the most prestigious international Design recognitions, soon becoming one of the most representative creations that this Master has dedicated to the table.

Progetto inedito fino al 2013 – quando Sambonet lo ha finalmente portato alla luce – il Centrotavola è stato subito premiato con i più prestigiosi riconoscimenti internazionali del Design, diventando in breve uno tra le creazioni più rappresentative che il Maestro ha dedicato alla tavola.

Der Tafelaufsatz ist ein lange unveröffentlichter Entwurf, bis Sambonet ihn 2013 schließlich auf den Markt bringt. Unmittelbar darauf gewinnt er zahlreiche internationale Designpreise und wird innerhalb kürzester Zeit zu einer der wichtigsten Kreationen, die der Meister dem gedeckten Tisch gewidmet hat.
