About Sionyx Nightwave

The Nightwave is an ultra low-light camera built around SIONYX's patented Black Silicon CMOS sensor. With flexible mounting options and easy setup, Nightwave can seamlessly integrate with major brand MFDs via the analogue video output, displaying clear colour digital night vision.

Designed to give both professional mariners and everyday boaties the ability to spot hazards and debris in moonless starlight without white light or expensive thermal cameras. The Nightwave will help mariners in boats small and large to navigate safely, avoiding collisions, and maximising time on the water. With IP67 rating, you can feel safe knowing that your camera can get wet.

With the SIONYX Nightwave, you will be able to spot a man-sized object from 150m away*. The 44° field of view increases situational awareness so you can spot unexpected markers, vessels, land formations and more. IP67 rated, submersible to 1 metre for 30 minutes, you can safely use Nightwave in inclement weather conditions.

MFD Compatibility

The SIONYX Nightwave is compatible with major brand MFDs. In most cases, your MFD must have an analogue video input to receive and display the video feed from Nightwave. Additionally, HDMI inputs can be used in conjunction with an RCA to HDMI converter.

The SIONYX XQE-1350 image sensor features unmatched ultra low light imaging technology and breakthrough sensitivity in the 800nm - 1,100nm range. This sensor enables digital fusion capability, high QE detection for instrument-industrial vision, and all use cases of traditional I2 tube-based night vision. You wont miss a thing with the 30Hz frame rate, 1280 x 1024 resolution and a 44° field of view.

Power & Video Output Options

Powering the Nightwave with 12V DC and using the analogue video output is the preferred method for integration with onboard electronics (The preferred video output must be selected using the Sionyx App).

If you wish to power the Nightwave via USB through a PC/laptop, the analogue video output option with not be available.

When The Nightwave Is Powered with 12V DC Using Factory-Installed Cable

The Seaview Hinge Adaptor is the ideal solution for someone who needs extra height clearance when storing their vessel. This allows the user to have their Seaview mount hinge backwards.

• The Hinge Adaptor can tilt back 180° allowing maximum clearance possible.

Spreader Kits

Modular Base Mount - Spreader Kit - Antenna Mount

This three-piece kit consists of a mid-section and two spreaders. Four bolts are used to secure each spreader to the midsection. The spreaders are tapered and angled aft so that whatever is mounted on there it will not interfere with the radar or Satdome on the base mount. All the wiring from your GPS or radio antenna can be routed internally through the spreaders and into the mount itself. All components in the spreader kit are bolted together with rubber gaskets to prevent any water intrusion. Each spreader kit includes two S/S 1"-14 threaded adapters.

They are made from a choice very strong UV-resistant plastic or 316G Stainless Steel in various colour options. Seaview Cable Seals fit a wide range of cables and connectors, ranging from 20mm to 34mm connector diameter, making them ideal for almost any installation. Tapered rubber seals and a base gasket provide a watertight installation.

The Seaview Sail Pod, also known as SPOD is a instrument pod for sailboats and catamarans. Expanding on their modular mount concept, Seaview has developed a sailboat pod design with a similar concept. There are different box sizes to fit almost any chart plotter or instrument on the market. Made from UV resistant white ABS plastic and sealed with a rubber gasket. Seaview has designed these SPODS with a high quality, anodised, machined aluminium post base which rotates through 300° and can be locked in position through fine increments. The instrument within the pod is easily removed from the base for safe storage. Please note that Pods are not pre-cut to fit your specific equipment.
