Western Carolina University launched their official Senior Leadership Fellows Program in 2022. The program has been a smashing success and will wrap up its pilot year this fall. Executive Leader Sam Miri discusses the program’s second cohort for 2023: (https://www.pinterest.com/sam_miri_VP/)
In January 2023, faculty and staff of Western Carolina University will be welcomed to the second installment of the official WCU Senior Leadership Fellows Program. (https://www.wcu.edu/stories/posts/News/2022/08/senior-leadershipfellows-program-prepares-for-second-cohort.aspx) Support and endorsements from supervisors and/or the dean will be required by Wednesday, August 31, 2022, in order to be included for consideration. Sam Miri believes that this is an incredibly fulfilling and enriching opportunity for faculty and staff of WCU who are interested in propelling their career in the direction of higher leadership (https://prsearchengine.com/sam-miri-to-discuss-executive-leadershiptrends-in-2022/) in the coming years. The first year of the program was a fantastic success with a focus on budgeting and funding, crisis leadership and conflict management, institutional governance and executive
leadership approaches (just to name a few of the many focus areas presented throughout the first year).
