Good morning and warm welcome to you all to Chelsea Salvation Army this Pentecost Sunday morning. We are happy to see you and we thank God for that. Few things to say. Thanks to everyone (especially to our esteemed volunteers) who helped with the BIG sale yesterday (18/5/13). We raised a massive £320.27. We say to God be the glory! And pray that it will be used wisely to the glory of His name. Also, we say a big thank you to all those who help with the weekly programmes and to the attendees. We constantly thank God for you because we cannot function well without you. Next BIG Saturday Sale is on 15/6/2013 Prayer requests Prayer changes things. Please keep the members of our church family in your prayers, especially those who are unwell at the moment. Pray for World’s End Estate, for peace, protection and God’s salvation to every soul. Pray that righteousness, peace and justice will reign in our nation and in our world, especially for Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Nigeria, Somalia, Egypt, Libya, Palestine/Israel, Turkey, e.t.c., e.t.c. Dates for your diary All our weekly programmes remain the same, i.e. the lunch clubs, bargain sales, kid’s clubs, coffee morning/prayer meeting and Sunday worship. However, we shall be closed on Bank holiday Monday 27/5/13, Wednesday 29/5/13 and Friday 31/5/13. The closure is because it is a half term week and therefore needs a bit of break. Thursday sale 30 /5/13 will be on, to avoid build up of stock. Full weekly activities resumes on Sunday morning 2/6/13. So, the Lunch Club opens as from Monday 3/6 /13. Mark and Ellie Our Mark and Ellie (Cadets from the William Booth College) will soon be completing their training to become Salvation Army officers. They will sign their covenant on 10/7/13 and be commissioned on 13/7/13 at Methodist Central Hall Westminster. If you want to attend the commissioning, please let me know. They have been appointed to St. Ives, in Cornwall. Please keep them in your prayers in these coming days.
