Looking for a challenge or new experience? Saturday 15th March to Sunday 16th March 2014 you could join the ‘Sleep Easy’ event by sleeping under the stars and raise funds to support Exeter YMCA's work with homeless young people. Time: 8.00 PM to 7.00 AM Place: The Guildhall Shopping Centre, EX4 3HP There will be music and other entertainment during the evening to make sure you have a great time and food and hot drinks will be available. All you need to do is make sure you’re well wrapped up! They don't pretend this will give you a real rough sleeping experience but do promise a night to remember as your efforts make a real difference to the lives of homeless young people in Devon. So for one night only...... let’s sleep rough so that others don’t have to! Exeter YMCA's vital work provides 15,000 nights' accommodation and support each year to homeless young people in Devon. Notice board ‘Springboard’ Open Forum Friday 7th & Saturday 8th February. As outlined by Ginnie Cutler in a prayer session one Sunday and reiterated in her article in CONNECTION we need your input to help find the way forward for our Corps Children’s and Youth Ministries (CYM). Two time slots have been now been found for these open events (see diary for times) offering everyone the unique opportunity to help shape the future of our Corps outreach to children & young people. This is not just for children and youth workers we need your support so please come along to share your ideas and pray for God’s guidance. We really look forward to seeing you Saturday 15th February - Charity Car Parking at Barnfield Crescent in aid of the BIG collection. The charge for parking is £5 so if you are out shopping please support this venture. We also urgently need people to receive donations based in the hut at the entrance to the crescent between 7.30am and 3.30pm. In previous years this has raised around £200 but to achieve this we need volunteers to help, even if only for an hour at a time. Prayer Focus Please pray for all those of our fellowship who have been bereaved that God’s love and peace will surround them and their families at this difficult time Also please pray for all those in our fellowship who are unwell or are caring for someone and need our special support just now This has been a particularly difficult time for our fellowship with so many personal and practical concerns. Please pray for our community and our leaders that we will continue to support each other and remain united in this time of challenge. Please pray for Majors Richard & Caroline Mingay as they lead us in worship and support our Corps Mission and Development Ruth Hawker would appreciate our prayer support as she starts a new challenge as part of the Exeter City Centre Chaplaincy
