The Event The Hope in the City Breakfast is a special Christmas tradition in our community. This event brings together thought leaders from business, politics, sports and entertainment along with members of the faith community. It is an opportunity to come together, ring in the holiday season and recognize and celebrate the importance and impact of philanthropy in our communities.
It is in our capacity to take action to support people experiencing homelessness, poverty, addiction and mental health challenges in our community.

This year’s Hope in the City Breakfast features Olympic Gold Medallists Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir – the most successful Canadian Ice Dance Team in history. Join us as the pair share lessons they’ve learned overcoming adversity, competing, winning at the highest level and maintaining a level of consistent excellence for over two decades. The two return to Vancouver where they became the first North Americans to win the Olympic Gold Medal, to inspire and motivate us in work – and in life. Because of you, people receive shelter, rehabilitation and ongoing support for addiction and mental health challenges.
