329,000 people were helped at Christmas with food hampers and toys.
3.7 Million free meals were served at shelters and in feeding programs.
1,400,000 people were assisted with food, clothing or practical assistance.

76,000 people were visited in hospitals, nursing homes, prisons, daycare centres and other facilities.
84,000 meals were served in school breakfast programs.

Who We Are What We Do
Since 1887, throughout British Columbia The Salvation Army has provided essential services and practical, compassionate support to millions of people who face poverty, addiction, homelessness, abuse and other challenges. Our mandate is to serve everyone in need regardless of their race, gender, age, belief, orientation, economic status, physical or mental ability.

As one of the longest serving organizations in the world, we have a history of action and accountability with our donors and supporters. We value this trust and we repay it by providing prudent fiscal management, strong leadership and by caring for others in our community.
Community and Family Services
Providing food, clothing and shelter to families and individuals living in poverty in over 400 communities throughout Canada.
Shelter and Housing Support
Providing emergency shelter, transitional housing and a broad range of support services to ensure that individuals and families facing homelessness have a safe place to live.
Addiction Services
Assisting individuals who struggle with drug, alcohol and gambling addictions, as well as offering prevention programs.
Safe Houses
Providing a haven where women and children discover the joy of nature, friendship and caring.
Counselling, Job and Life Skills Training
Providing programs for those struggling to overcome poverty, addictions and mental health issues.
