MISSION

THE ¡SALUD! MISSION We work to make healthcare services affordable and accessible for Oregon vineyard workers and their families.

THE NEED

Vineyard workers often move from crop to crop, and their short-term work status means they’re ineligible for health insurance coverage

For those with insurance, plans may cover basic services but leave patients with high deductibles which can mean putting off care until minor issues become major

Language barriers make accessing services and navigating the complex medical world challenging

Missing work to prioritize preventative care, or even necessary care means significant strain on the family budget

HOW ¡SALUD! HELPS

Bilingual, bicultural team of three registered nurses, a health educator and a program coordinator who focus on each patient and create custom solutions based on each person’s needs

Mobile services: we bring preventative services to the worksite to eliminate transportation and time barriers to seeking care

Wide network of providers, clinics and resources to connect patients to affordable care in their community

We help patients avoid medical expenses by negotiating with providers on patient’s behalf

Support for more than just healthcare: we connect patients to housing, legal, food security and other resources
