Utah’s July employment growth ranks 3rd highest among states.
Current estimates indicate Utah’s overall labor market continues to flourish despite national employment growth moderating and certain industries declining. This growth continues the recent trend of Utah employment growth outpacing national growth.

July sets a new post-pandemic passenger record at the Salt Lake City International Airport.
Despite signs of slowing tourism demand nationally, the Salt Lake City Airport served more passengers in July than any other month post-pandemic. This statistic follows several recent accolades for the airport, including best airport in the U.S.

Utah consumer sentiment remains relatively stable while U.S. sentiment declines 5.7%.
Consistent with longer term trends, Utahns continue to feel better about the economy than Americans overall. Utah sentiment remained stable, but U.S. sentiment declined nearly 6% in August.
