STAPLE VALENTINE LISTENING
Embracing the warmth of Valentine’s day, it won’t be right without listening to a perfect song with your partner. The phenomenal album of Bruno Mars and Anderson Paak, An Evening with Silk Sonic is the perfect romantic RnB to feel the love in the air. Sonic Silk made nine well-written songs on their debut album, which are funky, aggressive, and immensely passionate. Nobody couldn’t forget the flirty vibe of Leave the Door Open, which made the listeners want to “dancing, romancing.” A mellow, sultry R&B ballad about dedication and love would make any couple’s day perfect.
THE MOST ROMANTIC LINES
Everything Everywhere All at Once, dubbed the best multiverse movie, made Michelle Yeoh earn her Best Actress title in Golden Globe Awards 2023. Despite the theme, the film has one of the most heartbreakingly romantic lines ever. Although it isn’t perfect, and during the film, we see several alternate realities where it doesn’t work out, their love remains at the center of Evelyn’s journey. “In another life, I would have really liked just doing laundry and taxes with you” had become the most profound lines of expressing love nowadays.
THE ART OF COURTESY LOVE AND FRUSTRATION
Ida struggles to convey the spirit of Indonesia in her paintings despite her hazy memories of her time there. The written phrase she employs to express her sentiments has a lighthearted tone. Thus, she brought out the small talk manner into an Art SG exhibition, Basa-Basi. Basa-basi is a cultural repertoire that commonly starts as a question or statement to initiate a conversation or bridge a severe issue. The question posed in a basa-basi may not signify what it means. Sometimes both parties need to realize that the question doesn’t necessarily require a serious response. Ida shares that she needed to be creative by adding humor to her response.
Classic cult movie, 10 Things I Hate About You, would be a perfect choice for chilling around in the calming atmosphere of valentine’s day. No one could resist the funny trope of an enemy to lovers of Kat and Patrick. The two main topics of 10 Things I Hate About You are love and relationships. The poem’s few but powerful lines make it plain that Kat and Patrick do not get along. Kat and Patrick find it challenging to decide on the type of connection they have and want. They might be in love, but given their young age and vastly dissimilar personalities, it will be tough for things to go well. The poetry itself attempts to repair their connection and put things right between them, if not wholly.

REQUIEM FOR TEENAGE DREAMS
Paramore, just had its comeback with the single “This Is Why.” The long-awaited comeback is greeted with positive responses from their fans. After five years of not hearing from them, the song is filled with Paramore’s new energy. The song tells the audience about growing up in the South during the lockdown, racial injustice, and the most significant social movement in American history. “This Is Why” was inspired by a sense of despondency over the fact that months of isolation and lockdowns had not resulted in a major reset or reevaluation of the injustices in the world.
BREAKTHROUGH OF THE LITERARY WORLD
Indonesian writer Clarissa Goenawan enchanted the literary world with her enigma of writing. Debuting with Rainbirds back in 2018, the novel fills up with a short story collection and is an award-winning piece of fiction. Rainbirds has been translated into eleven different languages and is available worldwide. The hit novel attracts the reader as it is full of profound observations on love, loss, and regret. Following its success, Clarissa wrote The Perfect World of Miwako Sumida back in 2020. Her minimalist writing appeals to the literary enjoyer, making her have that distinct writing style. Recently, she announced the publication of her newest novel, Watersong.
FINEST WORK OF DRAMA EXHILARATING WOMEN ARTIST EXHIBITION
Having the typical Little Women of Louisa May Alcott’s trope, the modern Korean drama Little Women presents a beautiful plot with twists from Alcott’s story. Still, it has reached everyone’s heart since the theme is relatable. With three sisters become entangled in a case that forces them to take on South Korea’s richest and most powerful family, it’s just not that simple. Accompanied by excellent cinematography, the decisive act, and many plot twists, made this drama stirred the audience’s emotions. Even when the series closed its curtain with episode 12, it was still much of a topic to talk about.
Presented by ISA Art and Design Jakarta and Selasar Sunaryo Art Space, “Titicara” is a new take on an art exhibition. Held at Selasar Sunaryo Art Space, this exhibition, which was organized by Syagini Ratna Wulan in collaboration with Selasar Sunaryo Art Space and ISA Art and Design Jakarta, ran from August 13 to October 30. With the purpose of A Closer Look at Women Artists, the show takes some women artists of influence which draws the significance of technical know-how and knowledge of material characteristics as the basis for the realization of an artist’s idea, imagination, or aesthetic expression. The artist must gradually examine these two through research and considering all available options.

FORM OF GRATITUDE A BEAUTIFUL MESS
The uncanny book titled Art and Lies: A Piece for Three Voices and a Bawd by Jeanette Winterson has its patchwork, impressionistic style, three named characters whose sections, however, switched between first and third person, and the introduction of a fourth character were all utterly undesirable from an artistic and aesthetically pleasing standpoint, but it did work wonders. Read the beautiful mess of a book in a moment of silence on rainy nights, and surely it will captivate you.
The pop duo RL KLAV just launched their first-ever album in August. It took over three years for Rizkia Larasati and Keshia Aita to release their first album, POV, following the release of the lead single “Rainbow” in 2019. Before finally having six other songs on this debut album, they released a variety of singles, including “Thankful,” “Crayon Eyes,” and “Another...” The album summarizes some of the critical events in their lives, which are wrapped in the style of 2000s R&B, which also becomes their source of inspiration.
DRIVEN BY A BOTTOMLESS SORROW SOARED THE HEIGHTS
Based on the book of short stories titled “Men Without Women” by Haruki Murakami, “Drive My Car” has brought its audience on the journey of grief. The movie by Hamaguchi lasts over three hours, so he draws influence from other stories in Murakami’s anthology to fill in the narrative’s gaps with sincere emotional warmth, furthermore was shot beautifully, and the color pallets portrayed what Haruki Murakami’s world of fiction was. Stealing the spotlight at Cannes Film Festival back in 2021, this movie still provides the most tender and blue forms of representation of grief.
Before becoming the grand vizier of Philippine modern art, H.R. Ocampo lived a brilliant life, having worked as a cabaret cashier, a newspaper reporter, a screenwriter, a dissident painter, and ultimately as a cabaret cashier. Widely spoken about, the centerpiece of the most recent León Gallery Magnificent September Auction was a magnificent artwork by the artist that belonged to his closest friend and fellow journalist Jose Zaide. This mid-century masterpiece ignited the auction floor and became the first world record at the weekend auction. The piece landed at P48 million, including the buyer’s premium. It is labeled “Fifty-Five A,” alluding to the year it was painted and the first to be painted in that series.

THE EVERLASTING IDEAS
BEHOLD, COLLABORATIONS IN ARTS THAT OFFER FRESH PERSPECTIVES FOR INDONESIAN CONTEMPORARY ART AND FURNITURE
Text SALSABILA ANDIKA PUTRI Photos courtesy of MURAI ART PROJECTS
The world of art is evolving as it is. In Indonesia, the field of contemporary art is growing more vibrant and reaching a wider audience of art enthusiasts. There is unbounded creativity hidden within art. The presence of invention, which significantly affects the audience, causes people to always expect new feelings and experiences in the context of art that not only tickles the senses of sight and sound but also touches one’s taste, soul, and mind.
Amid quirks and the new era of arts, Murai Art Projects introduce works produced due to Laurence Howell’s collaboration with Naufal Abshar and Bunga Yuridespita as two inspiring artists of the country. The “canvas” for Naufal and Bunga’s paintings is transformed into furniture designs that go through a creative process with a three-dimensional product shape. Murai Art Projects showcased seven collaborative works in the exhibition “Timeless Creativity-A Different
Kind of Canvas,” which was held at Senayan City Mall GF-10 and open to the public from October 28, 2022, to November 20, 2022. This exhibition will give the visitors a fresh perspective on how to appreciate works of art.
“Indonesia has never seen a collaboration like this before. This project creates utilitarian items with high creative value by fusing material technology and suitable production techniques. This gives us a platform to help highly talented artists and other creative people in Indonesia so they may create works that will undoubtedly add to the body of work in Indonesia’s contemporary art repertoire through Murai Art Projects,” explained Yudi Wanandi, Co-Founder of Murai Art Projects, CEO of The Jakarta Post, Co-Founder of Larasati Auction Hall, and also the Board of Young Art Collectors at Art Jakarta.
Enin Supriyanto, Artistic Director of Art Jakarta, who is also the curator for this exhibition, believes that this project brings together designers, artists, and a variety of other departments to offer design works that are not only functional but also demonstrate creative accomplishments. All in terms of concepts, ideas, materials, forms, processes, and technology. For Indonesian design to advance, there is a critical need for this kind of cooperation and synergy.
Naufal creates a round and rectangular dining table and a watch cabinet for this exhibition. The background is that, as humans, we still have dreams and aspirations for wealth and prosperity, which
we eventually reach. Then, suddenly, we realize how much significant time and moments we have missed. Naufal Abshar exhibits this way of thinking in his design for a watch casing.
For his work on the dining table, Naufal takes the mixed media he typically employs (paper collages and photography), digitally prints them onto the ceramic surface using technology from QUADRA, and then adds scratches with silicabased dyes. Naufal also put a picture of a building to the front of the watch storage cabinet to emphasize symmetry and create a focal point.
Meanwhile, Bunga Yuridespita worked on two drink storage cabinets and one cabinet for women’s watches. Bunga’s exploration of her previous installations, sculptures, and paintings continues in this project. The ITB graduate artist uses the cabinet’s exterior and its three-dimensional qualities to create an interactive experience between the audience and the finished product.
As a furniture designer and designer for Ku Casa, Laurence Howell believes that in the process of creative interaction, now is the moment to figure out a formula to create a piece that is everlasting and has more upscale materials and embellishments. He claims that one area Ku Casa always wishes to investigate is the fusion of art and design so that our products can attain a more distinctive quality, luxury, and high artistic value from the creative hands of outstanding artists. Also, pieces of furniture that are both durable and valuable.

SKETCHES AS STAND-ALONE PIECES
TAKE A GLIMPSE INTO DHAR CEDHAR’S WORLD–HIS DIRECTION IN ART, THE VISION THAT BUILDS HIS ART, AND THE PROCESS OF MAKING BEAUTIFUL ARTWORKS.
Text SALSABILA ANDIKA PUTRI Photos courtesy of DHAR CEDHAR
The Semarang-born artist, Dhar Cedhar, recently put up his artwork in the Coffee in Culture Heritage Exhibition part 2. The artist has long joined the Coffee Painter Indonesia (CPI) community, and in the exhibition, he presented his artwork “Festival Hudoq.” The Coffee in Culture Heritage exhibition was decided to be held as an annual event but was interrupted due to the pandemic. It is hoped that CPI as a community could educate people to be more open
to the diversity of our culture. In addition to today’s topic, CPI addresses other issues, such as the national heroes theme recently noticed in the Museum Basoeki Abdullah.
Meanwhile, as an artist, Dhar Cedhar has a bright perspective towards his own style and vision for arts. He has a tendency towards art styles in the form of sketching/sketching. When asked why he likes to sketch, Dhar Cedhar claimed that In the fine arts, sketching is regarded as the most basic form of art and is also present as the foundation of
all visual arts. As it progresses, the sketch becomes a finished, stand-alone piece of art rather than a study or design for a future project. It could be a piece of art comparable to a painting or other types of art.
“This serves as the setting for my sketches. But, it is also a study to improve abilities and a way to record an intriguing object or incident that happened suddenly. I frequently include brief annotations to full sketches to attest to what I perceive.” As it is visible, Cedar gave some small notes in his sketches–making the onlookers feel his sincerity’s warmness in them.
The local artist also explores all kinds of styles for making great art. As well as the media he used, he often experimented with various painting mediums, including common ones like watercolor, oil color, and acrylic, as well as less conventional ones like coffee (coffee grounds). DHar Cedhar even combined the two media in one painting or drawing. For this, he is hoping that this exploration of arts will be able to keep his desire to keep making great pieces.
When asked what’s the most crucial thing in creating art, Dhar Cedhar explained the importance of Content. Content communicates an artwork concept to the general population. This idea provides the creative inspiration for a piece of art, which depicts or articulates the attitudes, emotions, thoughts, and reactions of the painter. Technical and conceptual requirements, in Dhar Cedhar’s opinion, must be compatible with each other.
Regarding his new project, Dhar Cedhar revealed that he has four paintings (oil on canvas) that have yet to be finished. Meanwhile, on March 11-12, he joined
SKETCHWALK CILIWUNG, Ciliwung
Rhapsody at Bogor, for his sketching project. It is said that the collaboration with the sketch community, including Bogor Sketchers and Indonesia’s Sketchers, led to the creation of this activity.
Diving more into his sketch community, Indonesia’s Sketchers (IS), Dhar Cedhar shares that the international sketching group was established in Jakarta in 2009. IS attempts to connect stories and experiences through drawings and adheres to the We Draw What We Witness credo. Atit Dwi Indarty, a Bekasi-based hobbyist artist, and I, Usk’s reporter at the time, founded the publication. With its branches in numerous cities and nations worldwide, the movement continues to grow and create networks. Urban Sketcher Indonesia was established and has since expanded.
Speaking about young artists’ spirit and talents, Dhar Chedar claimed that artists must always stay current with all new advances. The ability of technological advancements to transform conventional painting techniques into wholly new ones might cause conflict among artists.
“It is important to recognize that this transformation is a dynamic evolution in harmony with the times and that we should handle this dispute sensibly rather than apathetically. The crucial phrase is “learn and learn,” so keep up your exploration,” the idea of Dhar Cedhar built his signature of art within his sketches.

Back with their other remarkable exhibition, Dia.Lo.Gue Artspace presents Bunga Rampai, a painting exhibition aiming to create a great setting in the means of appreciation for the artist, the work, and the art form itself. It’s heeding the style, trend, or anything else associated with the “worth” of the actual work of art.
Famous Indonesian artists presented the artwork at the Bunga Rampai show during Indonesian art’s “Booming” period. At the same time, the longstanding artspace wishes to demonstrate the variety, beauty, and various traits of the diverse group of Indonesian artists at that time.
Bunga Rampai tries to deliver the context of the 1998 financial crisis, which started in July and worsened into a protracted period of severe economic catastrophe. In the event of a political climate that is unfavorable, the scrub is challenging
to manage. However, the economy started to improve gradually, reaching its height during the “Art Industry” period, when the phrase “SOLD OUT” played like an accompanist song at virtually every painting exhibition.
As the center for contemporary art that features changing exhibitions, classes, talks, a gift shop, and a cafe, Dia.Lo.Gue Artspace aims to be able to actively develop collections of fine, high-caliber works by Indonesian artists during the postpandemic time. The artspace has been presenting various exhibitions for the past 12 years that tell the story about; Art, Design, and Culture. After this exhibition, they promise to bring stories about collections based on cultural and design aspects.

Paul M ESCAL
The ‘It Boy’ of today’s generation, Paul Mescal, has graced us with his performance on the screen. Normal People has brought us to see his wonderful and emotionally fulfilling performance making him dubbed as the “boyfriend material.”
Despite all of the fame of his character Connell in the series, the rising star himself denied that his character is a copycat of his own personality. As he said in an interview with The Sun, he thought he is “definitely not back-footed or aloof” like his character.
Although, the fans have seen him as he is–a sweet and affectionate guy. When it comes to dating, he is the type to give the most daring affection to his partner, as seen in his relationship with Phoebe Bridgers, which is shown in a couple of Phoebe’s Instagram photos. Paul is someone who is sweet and full of physical affection.
Not only that, but he also supports his girlfriend’s career wholeheartedly. He starred in one of Phoebe Bridger’s music videos, making his way to help the girl he fell head over heels for.
Men dubbed as “boyfriend material” are dependable, trustworthy, and quick to act--decent people with traditional values who will help in practical ways and offer emotional support as needed. They are the kind of people that will go above and beyond to keep their partner happy.
Choi WOOSHIK
The young rising actor Choi Wooshik is not only talented but also the type of a man that makes you fall in love hard with him. The more you know him, the more you admire the personality that defined him as a man.
It was natural for the handsome guy; he, in fact, has a great sense of humor. Anybody can’t deny it, and it is known that women love guys who would make them laugh.
The South Korean-Canadian Actor appears pure-hearted–and apparently, he is. He doesn’t long for a romantic relationship, as he told the public, “My goal for my 30s is to invest time into developing myself further, unlike in the past, and to impress further after coming across a good project.”
The way he wants to invest in himself more is an admirable act. The more he grows, the more he can love others wholeheartedly.

Andrew Garfield has a lot to say about love, especially the modern notion of romantic love. However, he has been open-minded to any possibilities regarding love.
“I believe it’s possible for all of us to be in love all the time with ourselves and everyone around us,” said the actor, which is totally correct. Ourselves come first before we can open the possibility of loving others.
As we have seen from his past relationship, he is an emphatic lover and someone who is passionately cares for his partner. The quirky thing about him that would likely attract ladies is the fact that he is obsessed with astrology.
One time, Andrew was talking about how a sun sign of a person matches the moon sign of another, which means they match each other vibe. That understanding is very compelling as per se.
Nicholas SAPUTRA
The thing that makes people attracted to a person is the strong character that they build. It is known that despite his gorgeous appearance, Nicholas Saputra has a strong personality that attracts others.
It is possible that he doesn’t do things half-assed. The way he perceives life is also admirable. Nicholas cherishes his life truly and has hobbies he spends time for it a lot, such as traveling, gardening, and photography. As he said, a method of amusement involves carrying on with regular activities. It might be less productive, but modifying our enjoyment, skill, and performance could be done with a slow tempo and an in-depth method.
Also, an admirable trait about him is that he is a sharp observer. The act of doing things quickly and making quick decisions is awesome. The way we could see him be in a relationship and be completely working hard for it is an undeniable charm from the guy.

“SOMETIMES YOU CAN FEEL ISOLATED WHEN YOU MAKE A FILM, AMERICAN FILMS ESPECIALLY — THE STARS ARE IN THEIR TRAILERS. WITH WES, HE NEEDS A DEEP CONNECTION WITH HIS ACTORS, THAT’S WHY I THINK HE WORKS WITH THE SAME PEOPLE ALL THE TIME.”
Text SALSABILA ANDIKA PUTRI Photos CHIARTS DOUBLE SPACE WES ANDERSON PRODUCTION
Wes Anderson is the most direct filmmaker in mainstream cinema, yet his movies are also eccentric and obsessively detailed. His films are filled with subtle production design flourishes and visual jokes that are performed so purposefully that the audience always “catches” them and learns something about the film’s tone. The director’s aesthetic is far more considered. Though it appears straightforward, it is very intricate. As a director, his relationship with his casts is partially impeccable. Wes Anderson is famous for repeating casts since he needs a deep connection with his actors. He made his characters frequently kind, respectful of one another, and nostalgic for the past. Inside and out, Wes Anderson’s characters have flaws. They can still be likable while being petulant, selfish, vindictive, vain, meticulous, controlling, and manipulative. His responsibility for choosing actors falls naturally. It is as simple as selecting people with the same artistic pursuits as himself. Meanwhile, these repeating actors deserve a spotlight–they are one of the factors that brought the identity of Wes Anderson’s movies.
Adrien Brody has consistently shown himself to be a very compelling and intelligent actor by delivering genuine and authentic performances. His command of audiences has garnered praise from critics, and the variety of movies Brody has been in demonstrates his skill as an actor.
The Oscar winner first appeared in The Darjeeling Limited The 2007 movies have an extraordinary impact, as Anderson’s characters come to life on screen because of Brody, who also highlights the movie’s core themes.
Their long relationship begins with another movie, The Grand Budapest Hotel, which was no doubt one of the top-tier movies by Wes Anderson.
Adrien Brody portrays Dmitri, the son of Madame D, who is enraged by his mother’s friendship with Gustave. As Dmitri, the villain in Anderson’s invention, Brody gave an outstanding performance. He is greedy and arrogant, ready to kill or destroy anyone who stands in his way of success.
With nine Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Original Screenplay, this film is arguably Anderson’s most well-liked film. The Grand Budapest Hotel eventually won three Oscars for Best Original Score, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design.
His last project with Wes Anderson is The French Dispatch, which relieves all of Wes Anderson’s cult fans of his movies. The French Dispatch is dubbed “a love letter to journalism.” That could be one of the reasons Adrien has to be back in the upcoming rom-com drama movie Asteroid City

Who doesn’t know Edward Norton? Everyone in the face of cinema had known his name for a decade–probably more. He is perhaps one of the most talented actors of his generation.
After his first appearance in the Moonrise Kingdom Edward Norton seems to be drawn to Wes Anderson. In this sweet Wes Anderson love story, Norton’s more sincere side is never better exploited than as a strict scoutmaster. Edward Norton has made appearances in each of Anderson’s movies since his portrayal as Scout Master Randy Ward of the Khaki Scouts in the Moonrise Kingdom
Following this, Norton portrayed Rex in the Isle of Dogs and Zubrowka police detective Henckels in The Grand Budapest Hotel In Chapter 3 of The French Dispatch - The Private Dining Room of The Police Commissioner, he also played a kidnapper.
It is said that Edward Norton loves the fun of shooting with the director. The famous actor is known for his appearance in action movies–Fight Club, American History X, and The Incredible Hulk, for which he partook in writing the screenplay. It’s all until he met with the quirky director with distinct cinematography styles.
Norton is known for being challenging to work with. Prior to working with Wes Anderson, Norton occasionally found it difficult to appear humorous on-screen. Still, in the Moonrise Kingdom, he is entirely at ease and effortlessly fits into the character’s nerdy, rule-following persona. Seems that the chemistry between Norton and Anderson is fulfilling for both sides.
His favorite parts of movies are when humor and emotion are combined. In the interview with Slash Film, Norton believes that there are always these moments of, like, pathos that come in and sideswipe you. The Wes Anderson movies comprise this sort of whimsy and great humor and everything. But some features are much more compelling, producing an overwhelming sadness.
For his part, Owen Wilson ended up getting into acting after co-writing a film with his college roommate. Who was it? It is Wes Anderson himself. The project of two began when the three brothers eventually appeared in Wes’s first movie. Anderson, Owen, and Luke Wilson all had their careers launched through the movie Bottle Rocket
It could be said that their meetings were an eternal bliss for both of them. He has a longstanding friendship with Wes, whom he cowrote and co-starred in. The movies Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, and The Royal Tenenbaums were the movies that both worked on–the latter of which led to nominations for the Best Screenplay Academy Award and BAFTA Award.
One of the spot on movies played by Owen Wilson is probably The Darjeeling Limited. The movie is arguably Anderson’s most underappreciated film. It expertly illustrates the challenges of brotherly communication.
Owen Wilson, as the achingly familiar Francis, without even realizing it, is ridiculously domineering–he tries to be the mediator between the three brothers but is also unexpectedly demanding and selfish.
Wilson himself feels a sense of familiarity with The Darjeeling Limited making it one of his favorites. The personal connection to the story makes sense since Wilson’s brothers (Andrew and Luke) are also employed in the field.
As the two creative people have bonded from their first step into the movie industry, Wes and Owen’s bond will become fruitful over time. Since part of Wes Anderson’s idealism of trying to present his own ways of making movies seems worthwhile, eventually, the two men and the rest of Anderson’s regular ensemble inspire the younger generation.

TASTEFUL JOURNEY
MR. FOX LEFT ITS ADMIRERS IN AWE ONCE MORE AND REITERATED THE IDEA OF MODERN ASIAN CUISINE. THIS TIME, GASTRONOMIC EXPERTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SAVOR CHEF WIEM’S UNIQUE CREATIONS.
Because their delectable culinary delicacies may be used as a means of adventure, Mr. Fox, with its innovative concept, presents a method to travel without having to travel. A variety of Modern Asian dishes are available at Mr. Fox Jakarta, which is situated in the bustling SCBD district.
The fascinating character narrative of Mr. Fox, a traveler in Asia, inspired this eatery’s design. Chef Wiem Kahyang Isha’s delicate hands, meantime, were able to exhibit the flavors in accordance with their respective countries of origin.
HighEnd Magazine was given the opportunity to sample everything from the mouthwatering Piscok Soufflé to the exquisite Bone Marrow Fried Rice and Smoked Ahi Tuna. Smoked Ahi Tuna, which Chef Wiem prepared after getting some inspiration from eating freshly caught tuna grilled by locals in Japan, became the set menu’s opener.
After that, Chef Wiem served bone marrow fried rice, modeled by the notable fried rice in Indonesian villages and considered comfort food by some. Japanese soy sauce, pickled eggs, sweetspiced wagyu, and roasted beef marrow are served with fried rice.
One of Mr. Fox’s favorite meals is the Mala Stuffed Chicken, served as the second main course. The dish is intriguing since it is an original flavor combination that is consistent with one another and cannot be found anywhere else.
“Mr. Fox and my personal experience while studying in Singapore, a culinary haven, inspired the creation of this meal. Substitute Hainanese chicken rice for the traditional ricotta and mushrooms in a chicken roulade.” Chef Wiem describes this challenging meal as having a unique flavor you have never experienced before by combining fiery mala chips, sweet truffles, and tofu purée.
Pretty inventive dessert rounds out the feast. The Piscok Souffle is the dessert that Chef Wiem chose because of its light flavor and entertaining serving experience.
Overall, dining at Mr. Fox is a memorable experience. Culinary enthusiasts are intrigued by the idea of traveling. Additionally, Mr. Fox offers a new region theme every two months to keep guests interested and avoid growing bored with the menu.

STUNNINGLY CAPTIVATING
NEW YEAR, NEW WEDDING TRENDS! READY TO OVERSEE THE ARRIVAL OF 2023, WHICH WE BELIEVE WILL BE A MEMORABLE YEAR FOR MANY BRIDESTO-BE, HIGHEND WILL SHARE SOME OF THE DECOR TRENDS THAT WILL BE BOOMING THIS YEAR.
Toned-Down Pantone
The use of pastel colors for weddings nowadays is another strong trend. Couples naturally draw toward them season after season because of the subdued hues that give them an intrinsically romantic and delicate sense.
There are popular pastels like light blue and a hint of pink. They remain a popular choice for wedding colors year after year due to their adaptability, whether they are utilized alone or with additional accent colors. Blush and light blue are frequently chosen by couples who prefer a traditional color scheme since they go well with other time-honored elements like formal dress codes and gorgeous
floral arrangements. A centerpiece filled with lovely flowers would evoke romantic vibes in the air.
For example, this decoration by Whitepearl accentuated the altar with the fresh bloom of blue, pink, and white flowers–making it looks bold and elegant. Not only that, simple greenery could be utilized for table runners and napkin rings, but it would also be perfect with light blue napkins. This kind of decoration is ideal for couples who value the finer details in every aspect of their wedding and have a refined attitude.
Traditional Wedding
Remembering our roots, traditional wedding is still on top of the list here in Indonesia. The glamor and fanfare of conventional marriage could be noticeably different from the classic internationalthemed wedding.
Here’s the chic altar by Puti Sarah, which is made up of a gorgeous tint of crimson, and a trendy Minang design in gold champagne completes the style. The combination of the rich green and brilliant colors of the flowers with the gold champagne would also whip up a striking wedding decoration.
Awedding is a momentous event–therefore, preparation is essential. It goes without saying that the bride and groom are overwhelmed with worry as they plan the perfect wedding day. Regardless of the wedding theme, the bride and groom must appear flawless from head to toe, including their cosmetics and wedding attire. Not only that, the vital part of the wedding is the lit decoration choice. Here are some decoration trends that will be booming this year.
Classic yet Timeless Backdrop
The classic backdrop enhanced a timeless setting with a combination of white flowers
and greenery. The altar is given a sophisticated atmosphere by mixing traditional hues with contemporary textures, highlighting the couple’s distinctive personalities. It made the area feel like its own personal haven. Because they are customized for you, backdrops are the perfect touch to your wedding day.
It is said that printed backdrops will be a trend this year; look at this design from Stupa Caspea. It’s elegant yet chic. The illustrations, florals, and classic elements are all delightfully romanticized together on the altar. The focal points of these decorations are hanging installations, which are both elegant and striking.

THE COMFORT OF HERITAGE
Everybody who lives in Jakarta partially knows The Tribata complex, which also houses the conventional Sutasoma Hotel. The Opus Grand Ballroom is famed for its luxurious wedding venue, but let’s not forget about the Sutasoma Hotel, which will enchant guests throughout their visit or even when having their families stay for the wedding.
On this occasion, Sutasoma Hotel introduced its hospitality during HighEnd’s one-night stay. We feel that the hotel is perfectly accessible, with its location being the closest to the MRT station, which is only a 3-minute walk away from the opulent hotel. Furthermore, the place is close to the hangout areas— Blok M, Satriamandala Museum, and Ragunan Zoo. Staying cozily at the hotel, we have tried the Deluxe and Executive rooms that Sutasoma Hotel has. Both have a vast area, a full marble bathroom, and a homey window seat. Meanwhile, the Executive room has the most relaxing lazy sofa, which never goes wrong. Not to mention the Batik and traditional carving decorations, which added a touch of tradition.
The traditional element that Sutasoma gave to its decoration feels neat and not that excessive. Around the hotel, there are various traditional ornaments, such as paintings and sculptures. Still, their modernity gave a highly comfortable experience for the guests, as their rooms provide minibars, tea and coffeemaking equipment, safes, and smart TVs all
A DELIGHTFUL TEA TIME
available for the guests.
Sutasoma Hotel grows its variety of dining, which calls for straightforward In-Room Dining. Excitingly, the service provides various items in the menu, highlighted by their Indonesian food. They also have Bakwan Malang, Nasi Goreng Kambing, and Western dishes like Nachos or Pasta.
For breakfast, HighEnd gets to experience the buffet breakfast in the ATMAN Lounge, which is surprisingly even more varied than the In-Room Dining. Sutasoma Hotel gives its heart to the gastronomical experience as they offer a variety of Indonesian food other than Western food, such as; Gado-Gado, Mie Ayam, Soto, and many more. Much more than that, Sutasoma Hotel constantly changes their Indonesian buffet menu daily, proving their perseverance and attention to detail for their dishes.
Sutasoma Hotel’s ATMAN Lounge also offers an Afternoon Tea occasion. The Afternoon Tea’s menu includes a variety of intriguing and delectable Indonesian snacks, including Lumpia, Wajik, Pandan, Klepon, Kroket, Black Glutinous Sponge, Bubur Sumsum, Lapis Surabaya, Bitter Ballen, and many others.
