Old areas in the city are often left behind and not noticed. Various problems that arise such as spatial density, physical quality, and socil are some of the things that are often neglected. Cibadak is chosen as the location for rearrangement that can accomodate the needs of the urbwan community today and in the future while still paying attention to locals. So, what can be done to rejuvenate in helping the old areas to strengthen the identity from obsolation?

Located in a densely populated area, Cihampelas is an area that actively plays a role in the development of Bandung City with the formation of commercial, educational and residential areas. Meanwhile, the function of the Cihampelas Terrace gradually declined and only became a depression area for the area. “Untay Tjihampelas” carries the meaning of reassembling the Cihampelas Terrace area which focuses on user needs, as well as integration into the Cihampelas area.

“Micro-Regeneration” Concept “micro regeneration” is a concept in the arrangement of Cihampelas Terrace which can restore or renew the spatial, social and environmental quality of Cihampelas Terrace (micro) and the Cihampelas area (macro).

Kamal Muara is one of the areas in Jakarta that receives little attention. Along with the problems that arise, such as dense population, undeveloped economic sectors, and the issue of rising sea levels, this requires efforts to improve spatial planning. How can the “urban acupuncture” concept we chose have an impact on the area?

Chinese ethnicity is one of the ethnicities in Indonesia that spread across cities in Indonesia. One of them is in the city of Bandung. Chinese-Indonesian people began to move to Bandung since 1840. They formed their own community and gave to diversity in Bandung. However, currently, Chinese culture in Bandung has begun to fade, especially when the Bandung tourist attraction “China Town” officially closed in 2021, due to pandemic. This is our effort to revive Chinese-Indonesian culture through the rebirth of “China Town” in Bandung.
“A Palimpsest of Hidden Traces” Inspired by a “palimpsest” which shows traces of a story’s past. Shaping the future on the footprints of existing historical space existed before and overwrote it with the adaptation function on the present time.

Tourism Scheme The theater as a facade attracts visitors’ attention. Innercourtyard as a central space that connects all power pull the building. The stage is a performance space for visitors to enjoy.
Education Scheme The cultural center is connected to the school as a space extension learning. The museum is connected to the cinema as a learning space. The library is connected to the inner courtyard as a research and space collaborative discussion. The workshop is connected to the stage as a space for creativity and displays the results of learner creations.
Commercial Scheme Shopping wall that connects the innercourtyard and the stage as main visitor space to maintain the economic power of the building.

Dwara Batavia means “Gate of Batavia” in Sanskrit. This station takes a curved shape as a representation of the “gate” in and out of the Old City. The curved shape that is the identity of the station was adapted from the architecture of heritage buildings in Kota Tua to provide a sense of pace. As a modern MRT station, this design seeks to bring progressiveness and a spirit of newness. The station, plaza and surrounding pedestrian paths exist harmoniously in an area that is steeped in historical value.

Street Furniture and Color Concept Street furniture designs use simple geometric shapes in an effort not to dominate areas that already have a strong of “Kota Tua” image. An adaptation of the monochrome “Kota Tua” corridor color scheme is used on street furniture, while orange accents adapted from the tile roofs of existing buildings are applied to the interior of the MRT.
