Fr. Mike Joyce, O.Carm.

Fr. Mike Joyce, O.Carm., was ordained in Darien, IL on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Fr. Mike served as a Carmelite intern at Salpointe from 2017-2019, working in Campus Ministry, Advancement and teaching theology. Theology Department Head Gail Urbanski and Advancement Director Jennifer Harris attended the ordination on behalf of Salpointe. “When I met and worked with Mike Joyce five years ago, I got to know a young man who was enthusiastic to learn and serve. While discerning his future with the Carmelites, he remained mindful of each step on that journey while being a generous member of the Lancer Community. I was honored and excited to join the Carmelites, as well as Mike’s family and friends for his Ordination in May,” said Gail Urbanski.
