Star Drag Friction Brake

Mechanical, multiple disk friction system for spool braking.

A mechanical braking system

The simplest spool braking system when casting a lure.

A centrifugal braking system

A 6-position centrifugal braking system that ensures the fine adjustment of the brake – free spool rotation.

Magnetic drag system

With this drag system you can adjust your reel drag in very sensitive mode.

Bearings

The ball bearings are made with high precision. They ensure the smooth rotation of the reel mechanism and assemblies.

Roller bearings withstand higher loads than ball bearings, they are installed in the most important and most loaded assemblies of the reel mechanism. They ensure the operability of the reel anti-reverse mechanism. Both ball and roller bearings significantly increase the reel’s operation life.

Ball bearings

The ball bearings are made with high precision. They ensure the smooth rotation of the reel mechanism and assemblies; they also increase the reel’s operation life.

Reinforced, stainless steel ball bearings

The bearings are designed for increased loads. They have an increased operational life. Bearing material is not subject to corrosion.

Gear ratio

The gear ratio is one of the main technical characteristics of the reels and indicates the number of rotations of the spool made per turn of the reel handle. The higher the gear ratio, the higher the speed of the winding, and, accordingly, the lower the gear ratio, the lower the winding speed.

Instant anti-reverse (IAR)

A special mechanism of the overrunning (backstop) clutch that prevents the minimum reverse rotation of the reel rotor. This eliminates all impact loads on the mechanism while playing the fish.

The secret of the efficiency of UNAGI SLUG lies in the lure’s design. The Slug is divided by thin partitions into several sections. Even if jerks are very careful, the tail starts moving actively and attracts even the most passive fish. In the production of the silicone for UNAGI SLUG, attractant of shrimp is used – this guarantees results in any conditions of predatory fish angling. Joco Shaker Super Floating is a lure with a classic shape of a shad and ribbed surface of the body. This is the first lure from the Lucky John series of Floating Soft Plastic System material. The material of the lure has extremely low density and, therefore, it is lighter than water. The lure will retain its floating properties even after its use on different tackle and after pike’s “bites”. The body of the lure contains an attractant with mackerel flavour, which is also applied to its surface in liquid form.

1. The lure works perfectly the entire time it stays in the water. Once the butter-fly-type weight reaches the bottom, the lure floats instantly and turns its tail up. Any movements of water or minor movements of the lure make it move. Thus, Joco Shaker Super Floating lure can be animated for a long time practically in a single spot. In cold water, when predatory fish are passive, it is the only way of provoking the fish to attack.

2. The number of missed strikes decreases significantly. The floating lure always stays in a vertical position in water – it is an optimal position for a successful strike of biting predatory fish.

3. In muddy water, it is more difficult for predatory fish to notice your lure at a great distance. And if it lies on the bottom, noticing it is practically impossible. The floating lure is always clearly visible and attractive even at a great distance.

Joco Shaker Super Floating lure is supplied in the following sizes: 2.5 inches – for angling perch; 3.5 inches – for angling perch and pike-perch, and 4.5 inches – for angling pike. Tioga FAT – a lure designed for angling trophy predators. Due to the original form of its body, this lure, while moving in the water, generates swings, which attract predators. Its side ribs serve to enhance the lure’s play, making its movements more real. This hybrid lure has a worm-like body with typical thickening in the front part and small hoof-tail from shad. It is equipped with a special pocket for off-set hook installation.

Thanks to its “fleshy” body, this lure can be used without front split shots in plant-filled water bodies. The lure has an attractive mackerel scent.

Tioga is a lure designed specially for perch and pike-perch fishing. The unique shape of the body provides movements in the water generating swings attracting a predator. The side ribs strengthen the play of the lure, providing it with «live» movements. The hybrid lure has a wormshaped body with the typical thickening at the front and small claw-tail of the shad. The lure has the attractive smell of mackerel. Tioga 2’’ is the best lures for micro jig, it can be installed both on a jig-head and on an offset hook. S-SHAD TAIL is a shad with an elongated ribbed body. Due to the original shape of the lure, its body has a different cross-section in its front and rear parts; such geometry of the lure’s body ensures its special play, attracting any predator. S-SHAD TAIL is made according to advanced technology. It is a lure from the so-called class of scented.

The lure has explicit taste and scent of mackerel due to the aromatic salt introduced in the structure of the material and a special aromatic oil used as the coating of the lure. The lure is made of very soft silicon, which, along with aromatic and flavour properties, confuses the predator; it keeps holding the lure in its mouth, allowing you to make a confident strike. Soft rubber surface lure – FROG. It is designed for angling in the roughest conditions, in heavily plant-filled water bodies, where the use of other lures proves unviable. The main intended target species – pike. The main method of guiding – light jerking of the lure with short intervals of 1–1,5 seconds. The strike should not be performed hastily in order to avoid low efficiency of bites. Thus, the following scheme is recommended. When you see that a pike has practically snatched the frog, don’t pull the lure from under its nose or out of its mouth. On the contrary, you should ease the cord, wait for 1,5–2 seconds and only then make an accented strike.

How does MCS system work? During the casting, the ball is detached from the magnet by the centrifugal force and rolls to the tail end of the lure, thus shifting the centre of gravity. After touching the water, when the reeling starts, the ball rolls to the head end of the wobbler, where it is fixed by the magnet. To ensure roll stability, there are five balls located in special compartments of the lure: three in the head end, and two – in the tail end. During the reeling, these balls have low degree of motion, thus allowing aggressive reeling with the lure.

NORFIN

Magnetic Cast System (MCS) – a system consisting of a magnet and fixed and static balls, which allows casting a lure for the longest distance possible without kinking and dead on target. This system ensures qualitative balancing and easy handling of a wobbler at any type of reeling. MCS system is the first patent in the production of PRO Series wobblers.

Two buoyance modifications are represented in each size group, except for 35: floating and suspender. 35 mm size is available only in floating version with an enlarged dropping blade (LBF). The size of the lure is 110 mm and its weight is 16 grams. It is supplied in a floating design. LUCKY JOHN PRO SERIES ANIRA WOBBLERS If you need a lure for angling predatory fish in shallow water, ANIRA series of wobblers will be the best choice. Wobblers have stable intense small-frequency playing. They are perfect for any type of reeling: steady or jerking (twitching). The lures are manufactured in 39, 49 and 69 mm sizes and only in the suspender version.

The smallest size – 39mm, has an enlarged dropping blade (LBSP). The lure shows the best results in shallow still water bodies or water bodies with slow current.

Maximum depth of the lure at fast reeling is just 20 cm. LUCKY JOHN SPOON-BAITS FOR TROUT ANGLING The number of fee-based water bodies, where the angling of pond rainbow trout is allowed, grows each year. It is not a secret that the Area Fishing – trout angling in artificial water bodies – is a rapidly developing issue. It is, probably, one of the most accessible variants of fishing, with a spinning rod, for metropolitan citizens and people, the flying pace of life of which allows devoting just a mere couple of hours a week to the beloved hobby. Being able to “hold” 1-kg or bigger trout on the lightweight spinning rod, many anglers forever become the fans of this type of fishing. Keeping up with the time, a new series of micro spoon-baits has been introduced in the assortment of Lucky John lures for angling pond and wild trout: AYU and IMA. The main component of any successful angling is the availability of appropriate tackles: UL-class spinning rod (with the test of up to 5 g); thin braided wire, or even better – monofilament fishing line with the diameter of up to 0.18 mm; and lightweight minimum-size spinning reel. AYU and IMA trout spinners are equipped with qualitative Japanese sports hooks. Do not be confused that this a “single piece” with no groove on it, as it turns out it is completely unnecessary. In Japan, just as in many other countries, they have been long prohibited. The number of escapes does not depend on its presence! All jerks of the fish are successfully damped by the spinning rod; it is preferable for the rod to be of medium-action type and the fishing line, as it has already been mentioned, to be monofilament, particularly for the minimumsize lures. If the fish is played with such balanced tackle, the trout will not open its mouth due to excessive effort of the angler, and the hook will not fall from its mouth, even if the fishing line is completely released. If the fish is played using aggressive and rigid fast action type spinning rod with braided fishing line, somersaults and zooms of the resisting fish are unavoidable. As a result, unbending of the hook takes place and, naturally, the fish escapes. Try angling with a UL spinning rod and Lucky John trout lures. You are going to like it! After all, these spinners are just as good for angling perch, red-eye, grayling, sabre-fish, asp, orfe, chub and other predatory fish, and even peaceful fish. Balanced lures of LUCKY JOHN Trademark have already won popularity among the best ice lures in many countries across the world.

They have shown themselves to the best advantage according to many anglers. Year in year out their models are developing, bringing new changes and additions to their design, making them more attractive to the predators.

Currently the LUCKY JOHN balanced lures resemble natural prey items – the fry so much that bite is virtually guaranteed at any time, irrespective of activity of fish. An ideal game of the lure, imitating an escaping fry, allows not only luring a predator immediately under the hole, but also attracting it from a longer distance. Besides, the excellent balancing of the lure allows harvesting a maximum large water area under the hole. BALANCED LURE LUCKY JOHN BALTIC

The Lucky John Baltic is a compact, weighted jigging minnow designed to fish at depths, with or without current. Available in 40mm, 50mm and 60mm sizes, these three models weigh 10 grams, 22 grams, and 46 grams respectively; the smaller size Baltic has been a go to perch bait for anglers worldwide, with the larger models being a particular favored lure for deep water walleyes.

The Baltic is available in clear or red options for the rear tail stabilizer, and are also available in attention grabbing holographic patterns that stand out in deep or stained water. Like some of its Lucky John cousins, the Baltic is made of tough, resistant materials made to stand up to the wear and tear or predator fishing. The fierce “samurai” detailed finish is augmented by Japanese Kamasan hooks front and back, along with a sticky sharp beaded VMC hook on the bottom.

The flavouring and aromatic substances are not only applied to the lures surfaces, but also are the part of lures material. Scent&Taste Inside Formula guarantees that 65% of attractant is placed inside lure material, other 35% composes special substance used for lures treating before packaging. The attractant composition is a secret of Lucky John Company. This way in these lures made of the „eatable rubber” an attractant is maximally kept for the long time. The colour-grade is also well matched, the range of lures includes all colours, popular among fishermen, therefore, it is easy to choose the required one. The Lucky John Super Banana tungsten jig developed from its slightly smaller cousin, the LJ Banana. The Super banana features a variety of attention getting patterns, all featuring vibrant epoxy finishes designed to stand the test of time. The result is a versatile tungsten jig that may be presented in a variety of situations, with or without the use of live bait or plastics.

An efficient mormyshka developed in Latvia. This lure has proven to be very useful for ice angling in many countries. The optimal size and shape of the lure create microfluctuations which are extremely attractive to fish, allowing them to be caught without the use of natural bait.

The Lucky John Banana is the smaller, finesse model of its cousin, the Super Banana. The Banana also features the same bright quality epoxy finish in a variety of proven patterns. It also can be fished with or without live bait or plastics; the Banana is designed to provoke bites when the situation calls for a more finesse, slightly smaller profile presentation for stubborn bluegills and reluctant crappies.

The Lucky John ANT is designed to imitate aquatic bugs that are the staple diet of many winter gamefish, such as panfish and perch. This pattern is designed to attract attention even during the toughest of bites, becoming the ice angler’s go to jig pattern, when all else fails.

TUGSTEN MORMYSHKA WITH EYELET, WING AND BEADS LUCKY JOHN “NYMPH”

The Lucky John SEED is a basic oval shaped jig in the form of size of a small seed that is offered in copper, silver, and gold finishes. The relatively flat and rounded design of the jig allows a realistic vibrating action when fished as a horizontal presentation, using a Russian snell knot to ensure the jig remains at a 90-degree angle to the line. This jig can also be effectively utilized in a finesse vertical presentation with or without live bait or plastics. The jig features top quality Hayabusa hooks, engineered in Japan.

These jigs are made on the basis of the 8243 “Nymph” series jigs with an eyelet, represented by two sizes and one classic black colour. These jigs have beads of corresponding colours and an additional moving wing – diaphragm. Even at a slightest wobbling of the jig under water, the diaphragm starts moving and swings like gills or tarsus of an underwater insect, but the contrasting beads, as an aim, serves as the target of an attack.
