Formula Color | Steps
1. Section 4 segments off the natural part. Create a small triangle from the natural part that includes the fringe.
2. Begin the application in the fringe segment using Formula 1. Start at the front hairline with two back-to-back babylights and continue through the hairline, alternating babylights and slices.
3. In side and back segments, weave diagonal back sections using Formula 1 and Formula 2, alternating between two highlights to one lowlight.
4. Hand-paint hair in between sections with Formula 3 to brighten ends.

5. Process until desired lightness, then rinse and shampoo with Paul Mitchell® Color Protect® Post Color Shampoo.
6. Towel-dry and apply Formula 4 to tone and refine from base to ends. Process for 20 minutes.
7. Rinse, shampoo with Paul Mitchell® Color Protect® Post Color Shampoo and condition.

1. Start by sectioning out the hairline and take a deep zig-zag circle parting around the crown.
2. Apply a color balance to the ends of the hair that is left out by scrunching it up and into the hair, creating an organic lightening. Start this process in the front hairline to get the most lift.
3. Once applied, drop down the hair at the crown and apply to the ends using the same scrunching application. Process the crown section for only 10 minutes.
5. Rough-dry the hair.
6. Apply Formula 1 to the base and feather down.
7. Apply Formula 2 to ends and feather up to blend.
8. Apply Formula 3 organically from base through ends of chosen pieces to create depth and dimension.
9. Process for 20 minutes.
4. Once desired lightness is reached, rinse and shampoo with Paul Mitchell® Color Protect® Post Color Shampoo. Condition with Tea Tree Lavender Mint Moisturizing Conditioner™.
10. Rinse and shampoo with Paul Mitchell® Color Protect® Post Color Shampoo and your favorite Paul Mitchell® conditioner.

Color | Steps
1. Section into five segments.
2. Pre-lighten the base, taking quarter-inch diagonal sections using fine weaves with Formula 1.
3. Pull through the ends to brighten with Formula 2.
4. Working in the top segment, take quarter-inch horizontal sections using fine weaves with Formula 1, pulling through the ends to brighten with Formula 2.
5. Process until a level 9/10 is reached.
6. Rinse and shampoo with Paul Mitchell® Color Protect® Post Color Shampoo.
7. Towel-dry and blow-dry the hair.
8. Apply Formula 3 and process for 20 minutes.
9. Rinse and shampoo with Paul Mitchell® Color Protect® Post Color Shampoo and condition with your favorite Paul Mitchell® conditioner.
