Let the Church Bells Ring

Messenger
Oh, radiant messenger from realms above, With wings of light and heart afire with love, You found young Mary in the still of night –Proclaiming the hope, the dawn’s sacred light.
“Hail, favored one, the Lord is with thee,” Your gentle voice, a promise set free. In her womb, a mystery unfolds –The Savior is born, as the prophecy told.
Oh, Gabriel, herald of grace and peace, Through you, God’s love shall never cease. In a maiden’s heart, the world finds its way –Through your message, hope blooms today.
Amen

The Christmas Story
For months the stores have had big sales Preparing for Christmas Day.
People push and shove to pick and choose And use some plastic to pay.
Homes are decorated with twinkling lights And presents that folks can’t afford to buy. While outside, above the roof is Santa With his sleigh and reindeer in the sky.
There are festive gatherings for loved ones Around the tinsel-covered tree.
Glasses are raised to wish “Merry Christmas”; “Enjoy today” seems to be the key.
But Christmas is about the Christ Child And why He came to earth. Let’s give Him gifts of love right now And share the story of His wondrous birth.

Little Town of Bethlehem
One Holy Night in Bethlehem, The world was about to see The birth of a Babe Born for you and me.
The shepherds ran to see the sight, The Magi traveled day and night. The animals knelt in awe and grace To see the Savior’s baby face.
Little town of Bethlehem, God gave you the glory To be the first to tell the world His blessed Christmas story.
