Sale Sharks have announced a one-year deal with global wine business, Bruce Jack Wines.

The partnership, which is the club’s first deal with a South African brand, will see the wine company team up with the club to host a range of events.

The deal is part of a drive by the club to introduce more international partnerships to its commercial roster.

Eleven South African players, including brand new signing Jean-Pierre du Preez, are currently named in the Sale Sharks squad for the new season, as well as South African Internationals, Faf de Klerk & Lood De Jager who were both part of the 2019 Rugby World Cup winning team.

The club’s lock and World Cup Winner, Lood De Jager who was born in the South African town of Alberton, said of the partnership: “It’s great that the club has been able to team up with a brand from my home country. THE COACH LEE BLACKETT Lee Blackett joined Wasps as Backs Coach ahead of the 2015/16 season from Championship club Rotherham Titans where he had been the youngest Head Coach in English rugby’s top two flights for the previous two seasons.

In the summer of 2019 Blackett’s role at Wasps changed to Attack & Backs Coach.

Following the departure of Director of Rugby Dai Young, Blackett was promoted to Head Coach in 2020.
