N360
Use N360 when the concern is primarily academic or related to student success. Such as attendance concerns, missing assignments, or poor academic performance. Submit a CARE Team Report when the concern is primarily related to health, safety, or well-being. Such as emotional distress, thoughts of self-harm, concerning or disruptive behavior, and/or basic needs such as housing, food, and childcare. Emergencies: If there is an immediate threat to the safety of the student or others, contact University Police (978.542.6111) or call 911 before submitting any report. Guidance on Submitting Useful Alerts/Progress Reports To support timely and effective outreach, in addition to selecting the appropriate reason(s) for concern, it is recommended to include: • Relevant course policies that affect the student’s options, such as attendance expectations, late work, make-up work, or grading policies. • Actions already taken, such as outreach the faculty has already made to the student, or key messages to reinforce. • Recommended next steps for the student, such as attending office hours, submitting missing work, or utilizing academic support services. • Withdrawal guidance, if the student’s current performance indicates they are unlikely to pass the course.
