OUR COMMUNITY VISION
The Salvation Army Tonawanda Worship & Community Center has been providing services to those in need for over 135 years. We endeavor to continue to provide support to the most vulnerable population and offer a variety of support systems to help families and individuals live self-sustaining, productive and meaningful lives.

The Salvation Army Tonawanda Worship & Community Center has been providing services in the Tonawandas, Grand Island and parts of Amherst areas for over 135 years. We offer opportunities for kids to experience nature at our wonderful Long Point Camp on beautiful Seneca Lake for a week during the summer. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The Salvation Army Tonawanda Worship & Community Center is a great place to volunteer. We could not serve the community in the ways that we do without support from our wonderful volunteers. It’s rewarding when you support your neighbors and fellow community members. We have volunteer opportunities within our food pantry, feeding programs, kids programs and more. HOLIDAY & OTHER ASSISTANCE
We provide specific assistance during the holidays and other times during the year. Our Back-to-School Program provides school supplies and backpacks to children 12 and under.
Our Thanksgiving Baskets & Community Dinner provide families in need with a meal for Thanksgiving and fellowship with their neighbors.
Our Angel Tree Program provides toys, clothing & food baskets to families in need for Christmas.
FEEDING PROGRAMS
Weprovidenutritious familymeals tothe community. You can bring your family and enjoy a warm home cooked meal in a welcoming environment. Community meals are once per month. Check calendar for dates and times.
FOOD PANTRY
We operate a choice food pantry, providing meat, produce and pantry items to families in need. The pantry is open three times per week and is available to individual families once every 30 days.
EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE
We understand that times can be hard. When funds are available, we provide emergency services to those in need. We may assist with one month’s rent and utilities to those who qualify.
