Spring Fever is here!
Thank goodness spring is here. Spring comes with the idea of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection, regrowth, and a time of change. For us parents, carers and teachers it’s going to be the season for plans and projects. Many cultures celebrate the return of spring, the blossoming of nature or the rise of the vernal equinox. At last we have something to look forward to. Longer days and shorter nights, those extra hours of daylight can be a mood booster and let’s all be honest; we are all in great need of that! We should mention that the past few months have been hard for us all. Lockdown 3 seemed to really drag. Those walks were cold and didn’t feel as much fun as the first lockdown. All young people, parents and teachers deserve a medal, working together and managing to stay connected. That’s what has got us through. We can look forward to brighter days, Easter eggs (plenty of them) and enjoying all the delights that spring has to offer. Thank you to local artist @francescaillustrations for your illustration of us above. Front cover courtesy of six year old twins Elsie and Jacob.

Visit the Easter Bunny in his Enchanted Woodland Home at the Audley End Miniature Railway

Looking for something to do with the children this Easter? Join in the fun at the Audley End Miniature Railway and take a miniature train ride deep into the woods to visit the Easter Bunny at his Spring Home! Hop aboard one of our trains and venture deep into the woods to visit the Easter Bunny, receive a special gift and meet his other furry friends too. Throughout the train ride you can also test your I Spy skills and look out for the various Easter themed displays along the route! Once you return from your train ride you will then wander into our magical Easter Trail. Using your Activity Booklet you can tick off all of the Animals, Nests and Eggs as you find them! Easter Trail complete, you can now explore our Picnic Field. Your children can let off steam on the Adventure Play Area and also look out for the other clues in their Activity Booklet. “Eggsellent” locally sourced food and drink will also be available at the Woodland Café. Finally, once your children have completed their Activity Booklets, you can head to the Gift Shop on your way out to collect a special sticker! Included in the ticket price: Train Ride to meet the Easter Bunny and his friends, Easter Trail, Adventure Play Area, Gift for every child. Booking is required, tickets will not be available on the day. Tickets on sale Monday 22nd February 2021.
