Namba Park

Location based on: Osaka, Japan

This is a park based in Osaka, on Japan. This park was made as to redevelop Osaka’s identity, as over the time, the city itself slowly is getting rid of the nature beauty of the place. Osaka is a famous place for its natural beauty. The place also made sure that it has commercial buildings like cinema, shopping hall etc…

The park starts at street level and gently rises, large numbers of people are attracted to the trees and water features evident on the park, by dong this it makes the audience walk in the place around and feel relaxed and also is a healthy way that people travel around the way as because, nowadays, most of the people travel mostly it’s vehicles instead of walk-in, so this is place is a change o walk around in a healthy condition ad place.

Where the idea come from and why?

Throughout, my research of Namba Park, I have been realising that the structure of the park reminds me of a waterfall, this leads me to think that the architect has been inspired by the organic shape of waterfall. In my opinion, this is one of the best structure, as because the shape make it look like natural that respect the idea that the place will be realest to nature and represent the easy of Osaka.

Observations:

Throughout, my research, I realised that the architects have been using colours to represent the colour of the nature itself. The light brown colour of the floor which, in my opinion, it represents the woods of the forest. Moreover, the way the park is covered full of trees and the way it’s positioned, in every corner and in every level of floor, make us think that the park resemble the idea of a forest and a waterfall.

The idea of waterfall has been simplified into simple shape and put bridges to walk across the sides. In every curve sectors there’s always in one side the stairs which is followed by a path of trees and in the other an entrance for many shops. This site is very inspirational for me as it gave some ideas on how I can create my own high street interesting as this, in fact, I have been thinking what if I also get inspired by the waterfall and create a high street with it( see the sketches at the bottom side of the previous previous page). In order, to attract more people into the high street, as I am combining the nature and the modern structure as on East Ham high street, you can barely notice any plant or trees.

Parkroyal Pickering

Singapore

This is is Parkroyal Pickering based on in Singapore. It is a hotel that was designed for the greenery which it take the majority of the place, in fact the outsiders covered with grass and fountain. They consume minimal energy because of solar cell.

The structure of the building is geometrical and simple which it makes attractive as it simple for the eyes but also fir the audience. Easy to walk into. I have been choosing to do a research about this place because I have been visually attracted on how they created a bridge/ platform that is across the building in the mid air, this inspiring as because it might impact on my design, I could create a bridge/ greenery platform across my own buildings so that the people can access easily the place and also it would not affect the site landscape.

Floating gardens by Miroslav Naskov

This is the floating garden by Miroslav Naskov, this is a garden/ park based on United Kingdom, the concept idea of this site is a green space floating on the water This allowed the audience to walk around and have a nice spot to rest and enjoy the beauty of the nature. Garden by the bay

Gardens by the bay is a natural park, based on Singapore. This site is famous as it is considered one of the largest gardens and glass greenhouse in the word.

This garden is full of different species of trees, this because it was designed for transforming the city into a garden as to bring the natural beauty in the urban.

This allows the audience to walk around the nature and sit in the outdoor as it helps the people to focus outside and also its healthier to stay out like this as the urban has high pollution but staying in a garden like this the air is much more healthier.

This building is situated in London. This site is to represent Bloomberg and the history of the area. I have been doing a research about this place because it has been inspiring me on the philosophy behind it.

I got inspired by the way the architects have been creating a stair case while thinking is way in how to make society more sociable. They created a stair that is two way so whenever people go in or out of the building they have a way to see each other.

Moreover i it inspired on how they use colour of the building to act with the surrounding area, so that over time it will the same colour of the rest of the building.
