Thapar School of Liberal Arts and Sciences (TSLAS) is set up to create a stimulating and inspiring academic environment. We encourage young scholars to explore their true potential and unravel their creativity to tackle issues of global importance. We nurture students to critically understand complex issues from multiple perspectives by providing them opportunities to cross disciplinary boundaries. Our Foundation courses and course requirements from outside the ‘Major’ discipline of the student is designed to achieve that along with providing students with an in-depth disciplinary knowledge in their chosen area of ‘Major’ field. The school provides a thriving and open research environment where any idea can be explored.
CONNECT TSLAS offers a unique combination of courses and prepares students for higher education in top international universities. Strong transdisciplinary foundation courses help students to decide their future career goals and prepare for wider possibilities. A complementary and highly innovative project-based learning called ‘Avani’ is designed to help students grow into well-rounded individuals. Through this project, students further explore future ventures to connect with global opportunities.
DECIDE TSLAS is situated within the campus of its mother Institution, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, which has a vast infrastructure sprawling over 250 acres. TIET is one of the oldest and finest educational institutions in India offering a highly attractive structure of fees & scholarships to students. The students are also provided with all necessary facilities to develop a spirit of technoinnovation by faculty of repute.
