ZACHARY DAVIS, PH.D.

Alex G. McKenna Endowed Chair in Economics

Dr. Davis joined Saint Vincent College in 2016 and holds a doctorate in economics from Purdue University. His current research is on the labor market recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic, labor supply elasticities, and the housing market in Pennsylvania. Davis also works as a consultant to police and probation associations in contract disputes. He completed his undergraduate studies at Miami University in his hometown of Oxford, Ohio.

Established through the support of the Philip M. McKenna Foundation, the Alex G. McKenna Chair promotes the enhancement of economic literacy, building on an appreciation for and understanding of the development, protection, and history of the American enterprise system.

James & Margaret Tseng Loe Endowed Chair in China Studies

A graduate of Saint Vincent Preparatory School with a degree in philosophy from Saint Vincent College, Br. Nicholas Koss studied Chinese at Chabanel Language Institute in Taiwan and holds an MA and Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Indiana University in Bloomington. He’s taught at Peking University and Fu Jen University. Br. Nicholas was appointed the first James and Margaret Tseng Loe Chair in 2021.

The James and Margaret Tseng Loe China Studies Center promotes cross-cultural understanding and cooperation between traditional Chinese culture and American constitutional democracy and technology. This cooperation, further strengthened by the vital principles of Christianity throughout human history, serves as a foundation for world peace and wellbeing of mankind. The China Studies Center and Endowed Professorship are dedicated to the memory of Professor James Loe and Mrs. Margaret Tseng Loe.
