Greenie’s Greetings With Mike Green "Good Afternoon to you all and welcome back to the Premier Plus Stadium for today‘s Pitching-In Northern Premier League Midland Division match. This afternoon we extend a warm welcome to everyone connected to Racing Club Warwick Football Club and we hope you enjoy our hospitality here with us this afternoon. ” Home at last after a two week spell where we had two scheduled away games. First up was a trip to Rugby Town, from where we returned with a well earned point, courtesy of a HARVEY WILLIAMS strike and a string of fine saves from JAMES GOFF between the sticks.

Sadly, our scheduled trip to Anstey Nomads was postponed, due to a waterlogged pitch after the heavy rainfall on Friday so it was an unexpected day off for the lads.

Just a quick mention about our Darts Team who currently sit TOP of their division and our Pool Team who are now beginning to climb their own respective league table.

Back to today and I expect another tough test from our visitors who haven’t enjoyed the best of starts to the season but have hit a decent spell of form in recent weeks so let’s hope we start on the front foot this week and don’t set ourselves an uphill battle.

As ever, your fantastic backing can be the difference between a win or a loss so play your part off the pitch and we will see you all back here on December 13th for Christmas Jumper Day when we entertain Basford United.

Performances have been promising, but we haven’t put enough points on the board to match them. We’re honest about that. But the attitude, the togetherness, and the belief in the group remain incredibly strong.

GOOD AFTERNOON AND A WELCOME TO THE PREMIER PLUS STADIUM TO RACING CLUB WARWICK FOR THEIR THIRD VISIT TO THE TOWN Their second visit was two seasons ago when we were both playing in the UCL Premier Division South. At the end of that season our visitors finished as runnersup to Wellingborough Town and were promoted via the play-offs to Step Four. Here at St Neots our sides fought out a 1-1 draw with Rhys Thorpe scoring our goal although earlier in the season we had been beaten by the odd goal in three with Jordan Brown our marksman. In their first season at the higher level our visitors finished mid-table (11th) and are currently seventh after last week’s home victory by the odd goal in seven over Loughborough Students. The first meeting of our two sides here was 28 years ago when we were drawn together in the FA Cup resulting in a 3-1 victory for our visitors with Ralph Phillips scoring our consolation goal. Our visitors last two league defeats have both come away from home in this ‘neck of the woods’ – at Wellingborough on 1st November and at Rushden & Diamonds on 11th October.

In the FA Cup this season our visitors had a fine run winning three matches before losing the fourth in an away replay. They first beat Droitwich Spa from the Hellenic League at home before recording two away victories at Lye Town from the Midland League and Kidsgrove Athletic who play in the NPL Division One West. Back at home they entertained Evesham United from the Southern League with the match ending 3-3 before they were beaten 1-0 in the away replay. In the FA Trophy they had less success beaten 4-1 away at Rugby Town.

CLUB WELFARE OFFICER GEMMA KEECH My name is Gemma Keech and I am the Club Welfare Officer (CWO) for St Neots Town Football Club.

Each football club that offers youth and open aged football is required to have a Club Welfare Officer. I am responsible for ensuring the wellbeing of the children, young people and vulnerable adults who attend the club, whether that be within the Academy or players aged Under 18 in the First Team.

My role is to be the first point of contact for all club members and parents / carers regarding concerns for the welfare of anyone within the club that fall within this group.

St Neots Town Football Club have appointed me to this voluntary role because of my employment roles in Education and Children’s Social Care, and therefore my knowledge and experience in Safeguarding and Child Protection.

My aim to be an approachable person for young people and their parents or carers, as well as club members, where issues or concerns may arise. These issues may range from worries about not fitting in or feeling left out, an individual dangerous incident or situation, other adult or young persons’ behaviour or more serious allegations against another person, volunteer, member or professional at the Club.

For the third successive time St Neots were beaten in front of their home crowd – this time by a side struggling for form. Boldmere had lost their last six league matches, and in the first half of this match there looked no chance of them arresting this slide. However their half time dressing room pep talk worked wonders, and they emerged at the end of ninety minutes with all three points and their fourth out of five victories away from home this season to lift them above the relegation places. From St Neots perspective it was a shoddy performance that deserved no reward for despite dominating the first half and having further chances after the break as the visitors took the game to them, they had nothing to show at the end except regrets that they had been so wasteful in front of goal. Central defender Charlie Bowen returned after suspension with Sam Willis returning to full back and Eniola Agemoh-Davies moving forward to replace the injured Jessi Obeng. Despite James Goff saving an early second half penalty they capitulated and must now regroup to arrest their slide down the league table.

The home side began well and could have been two goals ahead in the opening ten minutes as Connor Furlongs’ screamer from 15 yards rebounded from a goalpost and Harvey Williams lifted his effort narrowly over the bar after beating two defenders. Defender Murphy Culkin then joined the St Neots attack to head over from a Kieran Barnes cross, and visiting keeper Jonathan Brown saved a narrow-angled effort by Eniola Agemoh-Davies. The expected breakthrough came after 17 minutes when Harvey Williams cut in from the left to find a right-footed finish that was well out of reach of the visiting goalkeeper. The visitors rallied briefly and Tolani Omotola should have done better with a free header that flew over the crossbar. Brown saved bravely ay the feet of Williams and a visiting defender cleared off the goal line to deny Agemoh-Davies. As half time approach it was still one-way traffic towards the visiting goal and from a Culkin corner a Barnes effort was deflected over the cross bar by a defender. The final action of the half saw a wild finish by Agemoh-Davies that flew over the bar after neat play by Sam Willis.

The second half saw a transformation in the proceedings. The visitors came out to dominate play from the start with the home defence under constant pressure. St Neots conceded a third minute penalty when Goff upended Charlie Manners, but the keeper made immediate amends pushing away Daniel O’Callaghan’s spot kick.

MATCH REPORT Boldmere St Michaels (H) 08 November 2025 However, the visitors persevered and Goff had to save at full length from Ben Lund, and at close range from Manners. St Neots sent on new signing MJ Muyembe for Agemoh-Davies just in time to see Pierre Phillip level the scores with a towering header from a corner. The visitors maintained their pressure and Goff again saved full length from Kyle Byrne before the impressive Fraser Doyle shot wide when well placed. St Neots forward play became ragged and with just four minutes left the visitors deservedly snatched a winning goal as from another corner Charlie Manners got in front of his marker to net. So, it will be back to the drawing board for St Neots before their next match away at Rugby Town.

St Neots returned from Rugby with a deserved point after a hard-fought draw.It could have been all three points but for an opportunist second half equaliser poached by former Saints striker Trey Charles after Harvey Williams had put the visitors ahead. After a poor start to the season Rugby had hit a streak of good form with five wins and a draw in their last seven league matches, and still looking to arrest their poor run of form St Neots were pleased to have earned this point that keeps them five points above the relegation zone. In-form Harvey Williams was signed by higher ranked Hemel Hempstead just days before this match but left on loan with the Saints, and he continued his rich recent vein of form claiming his sixth goal in his last seven games for the club. There was an enforced team change with striker Rhys Thorpe sitting out his one-match suspension and into his place came James Stainsby for only his second start. Also back in the line-up was Harvey Henderson with skipper Rob Parker moving into midfield and Eniola AgemohDavies relegated to the substitutes bench.

After the recent bad weather, the pitch was in remarkably good condition, and the visitors began confidently with home keeper Marcus Bald having to rush from his line to save at the feet of Kieran Barnes after 14 minutes. Four minutes later at the other end James Goff saved a close-range effort from Cairo Taylor – the first of three significant first half stops that was to go on to earn the visiting keeper the man of the match award. A free kick from Barnes then beat the visiting custodian but deflected harmlessly off the top of the crossbar and then just before the half hour Connor Furlong rounded his marker to shoot narrowly wide. The visitors then took the lead with a cleverly crafted goal.

Barnes picked out full back Sam Willis who had ventured forward on the right, and he skilfully delayed his cross to await the arrival of Harvey Williams who shot into the roof of the net to open the scoring. However, in the ten minutes before the break the home team moved up a gear and put the visiting defence under pressure with Goff making two fine saves. St Neots seemed relieved to hear the half time whistle and a chance to regroup.

St Neots resumed with Williams once again the prominent feature of their attack. He shot wide after a piercing through ball from Rob Parker, and then forced Bald to push away a rising shot and another effort was just wide after neat play by Furlong.

MATCH REPORT Rugby (A) 15 November 2025 Another Furlong cross was glanced wide of the far post by James Stainsby who had led the line with enthusiasm and energy and then another effort from Barnes flew harmlessly over the cross bar. The home side was sharing possession but producing little significant finish but after 69 minutes a momentary lapse of defensive concentration allowed Trey Charles to burst between two square lying defenders to claim what was to prove the goal that earned to home side a share of the points. For St Neots it was a confidence booster and a deserved point against an in-form side.

St Neots returned from Somerset with a very creditable draw at the expense of sixth in the table Frome Town. With four regular players suspended team selection must have been a problem for Manager Andy Davies although he did have the bonus of two returning players in new skipper Mickie Hyem and Tom Spark. He drafted straight into the starting line-up new defensive signing Chevron McLean and gave a senior debut to seventeen years old youth starlet Jack Eldridge. McLean a tough tackling full back with a cultured left foot looks to be a very useful addition to the squad and now with 83 senior minutes under his belt Eldridge will have gained some invaluable experience of senior football. The point gained in an entertaining match was valuable but the outcome could have been even better had James Hall not fluffed a golden chance for a second goal just ten minutes from time prior to the Frome equalizer when he ballooned a one-on-one opportunity high over the crossbar.That equalizer was controversial with the Referee missing a nasty foul on Tom Wood in the build-up and that resulted in a yellow card for goalkeeper Alex Archer as he sought to point out that oversight to the official.

St Neots were aiming for their first league double of the season having beaten Frome at home in August and the two teams looked very evenly matched in the opening phase of the match. St Neots created two early openings with James Hall testing home keeper Kyle Phillips and Declan Rogers hooking a cross from Chevron McLean onto the roof of the bar with Phillips beaten. Frome replied with a neat four man move that split the St Neots back line and Archer had to make a fine save turning John Davies’ shot over the bar. The visitors then had a let off when from the resultant corner kick Sam Teale sent in a low shot that rebounded off the inside of a post into the arms of the grateful Archer. On the half hour St Neots had two chances in the same attack when from a quickly taken free kick Rogers crossed to Hall whose shot was pushed for a corner and from that cross young Eldridge brought an acrobatic save from Phillips with a near post header. Frome also looked lively on the break but the St Neots defence held firm with Tom Wood outstanding. Three minutes before the break from a Davies corner, Teale got the ball in the St Neots net but a colleague was ruled offside.

Frome reshaped their attack just after the break with a couple of substitutions but after 53 minutes again on the break St Neots took the lead as Mickie Hyem picked out Hall wide right and he advanced to target the unmarked Declan Rogers who confidently slotted home his eleventh goal of the season. Frome redoubled their attacking efforts and Aidan Kirby cut inside his marker to send his shot high over the bar and John Davies shot badly wide after some good work by Nathan Summers and then substitute Mike Bryant just failed to reach a cross in front of a gaping net. The pressure was building and seven minutes from time the home side claimed an equalizing goal when Archer parried a shot from Bryant and in the ensuing goalmouth scramble Wood went down injured as John Davies forced the ball home from close range. St Neots blooded another youngster with Sam Piesse replacing the tiring Eldridge and the final action saw Archer produce another important save to deny Bryant a late winner for the home side that would have been a very unfair reward for a spirited St Neots performance.

ANDYSMANCLUB is a free peer-to-peer group that provides a place for men to come together in a safe and open environment to talk about the issues or problems that they have faced or are currently facing.

ANDYSMANCLUB meet every Monday at 7pm (excluding Bank Holiday Mondays).

HOW DOES IT WORK? The process is about bringing men together who have been in similar situations, to help each other on a peer to peer basis, sharing how they have dealt with various situations through lived experiences. No matter how big or small your problem feels, we are here to support each other. The 5 questions that are asked each week are designed not only to encourage men to talk, but to start to focus on the positives and on strategies to keep moving forward. There is no pressure to answer any of the questions and it is not uncommon for men to just listen for the first few sessions. The clubs all run on the same format and adhere to the same guidelines. A key principle of ANDYSMANCLUB is anything that is said in the club, stayswithinthe club.

The Saints Community Memorial Wall We would like to formally announce that the Saints Community Memorial Wall is now ready and opportunities for Supporters to remember their loved ones, who may have been Saints Supporters themselves, are now available.

The Wall is completely under cover and protected from the elements and the flowers/shrubbery are cared for and tended to on a daily basis by our dedicated grounds staff. Seasons Past - With John Walker This Edition Focuses on Season 1982/83

ST NEOTS TOWN FC 1985/86 SEASON This is the eleventh in a series highlighting one of our final seasons at Shortsands to depict both the highs and the lows in the recent proud history of the Club. This was the first ever year of a three years’ sponsorship of the League by the Nene Group so there was a small modicum of financial benefit available to our club that was beginning to struggle as a result of regular large rent increases. Searching for some comfort after a largely poor league showing I note that the side – despite finishing just two places above the relegation zone – were the highest scorers in the bottom eight places in the final league table, but another poor season in cup competition with just one victory in our four matches.

There was a rare occurrence of two players notching a league hat trick (Steve Kuhne and Val Simpson) but both were recorded away from home.

Our 7-1 home league victory over Bourne Town on 21st April 1986 was our biggest victory in that fifteen seasons spell in the UCL – and we had lost 2-1 at Bourne in the first league meeting earlier in the season, Our cup victory (2-1) came away from home in the league KO Cup at Stewart & Lloyds Corby avenging a 3-1 league defeat earlier in the season, but we did manage a home 1-1 draw with Eynesbury Rovers in the Hunts Senior Cup before beong beaten in the replay at Hall Road, The Reserve team also managed seven goals at home in a league match with Ford Sports and that match featured a rare goal for Craig Lambert.

The top goal scorer was Steve Kuhne with 19 goals followed by Val Simpson with 9 The Manager was Mick Kemp John Walker

Opponent Spotlight RACING CLUB WARWICK

The club was originally formed in 1919 under the name Saltisford Rovers and spent its early decades competing in various local leagues, including the Warwick League, Leamington & District League, and the Warwickshire Combination. During this period, the club collected several honours, most notably winning the Birmingham Alliance Senior Cup by defeating Birmingham City in a memorable final at St. Andrew’s.

In 1967, the club joined the West Midlands (Regional) League and, three years later, adopted its current name — a reflection of the club’s location next to Warwick Racecourse. Shortly after, they moved into the Midland Football Combination, where they enjoyed success in the late 1980s, becoming league champions in 1988 and finishing runners-up in 1989. That achievement earned them promotion to the Southern League, where they remained until 2003. That year, a bottom-place finish in the Western Division saw them relegated to the Midland Football Alliance, a league they remained in until 2009 when they dropped into the Midland Football Combination Premier Division, now known as Midland Football League Division One. A major turning point came ahead of the 2015–16 season with the arrival of Gary Vella as chairman, along with a new committee. This signaled the start of an ambitious period of infrastructure investment, including the installation of new changing rooms, floodlights, spectator stands, and an artificial training surface. On the pitch, the club recorded its biggest-ever win during that season, beating opponents 15–0 on 26 December 2016.

In 2018–19, the club gained its first promotion in 30 years after finishing runners-up in Midland Football League Division One. Further progress followed with the installation of a 3G pitch in the winter of 2020, which allowed the club to expand its community programmes to include women’s football, disability teams, and wider local engagement. The facility also became the home ground for the West Midlands Ambulance Service team.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the club steadily climbed the league standings, finishing 14th in the 2021–22 season and improving to 5th in 2022–23 in the Midland Football League Premier Division.

The 2023–24 season marked a historic milestone, as the club was laterally moved to the United Counties League Premier Division South. After finishing second in the league, the Racers earned promotion to Step 4 for the first time in over two decades by winning the playoff final 2–1 at home against Aylestone Park. That same season also saw the club make an extraordinary run to the final of the Birmingham Senior Cup. Along the way, they claimed impressive victories over Dudley, Solihull Moors, Birmingham City, and a sell-out home win against Leamington, before eventually falling 9–0 to Aston Villa U21 in the final held at Villa Park.

The 2024–25 campaign marked the club’s return to Step 4 football, where they achieved a respectable 11th-place finish and once again reached the semi-finals of the Birmingham Senior Cup, continuing their upward momentum both on and off the field.

Player Profiles RACING CLUB WARWICK

Ryan Andrews Andrews began his career in the youth academy at Aston Villa before moving to Solihull Moors aged 16. Following his time with Moors he moved on to join Boldmere St Michaels before a brief spell at Highgate United. Following the resumption of football after COVID, Andrews had a season with Knowle FC before joining Romulus where he won the Player of the Year award. He joined the Racers in September 2023 following a brief spell at Hednesford. Andrews won the club's Fans’ Player of the Year last season.

Dylan Barkers The midfielder has been with the club during pre-season. He came through the ranks at Solihull Moors before going on to sign for League One side Cheltenham Town.

Kyle Barnett Commanding centre-half who came through the ranks at SkyBet Championship side Coventry City before being released at the end of the 2014/15 season after being a regular for the Sky Blues' under-18 side, which also included England and Leicester City star James Maddison at the time.Barnett has had spells with Coventry United, Daventry & Coventry Sphinx. He joined the club from Bedworth United in June 2023 and was a key figure in our promotion-winning season, earning Managers & Players Player awards.

Joel Carta The midfielder joins from Harborough Town and has also had spells for Kettering Town, Aylestone Park and Corby Town, among others.

Callum Coyle Came through the ranks at Walsall’s Academy before signing with Solihull Moors where he impressed in their academy set up and was rewarded with first-team forms in March 2017. He joined Stafford Rangers before moving to Rushall Olympic where he was part of the side that reached back-to-back playoffs, ultimately winning promotion at the end of the 2022/23 season to the National League North.

He has also had spells with Nuneaton, Hednesford, Redditch, Stratford Town & Stourbridge.

Jack Edwards The midfielder joins from Leamington, where he has spent the last 11 years making over 450 appearances, winning multiple promotions and Senior Cups.

Cameron Ebbutt Attacking midfielder started out at Bristol Rovers and was loaned to Dorchester, Evesham, and Yate, before joining Hereford on his release in 2019. He also had spells with Gloucester City, Bromsgrove, and Hednesford before joining the club from Worcester City in October 2022.

Ben Flynn Defender has been with the club from the junior age groups. Joined the club's fulltime academy in 2024 and signed first-team forms last season.

Josh Flynn Forward has been with the club from the junior age groups. Joined the club's fulltime academy in 2024 and signed first-team forms last season, finishing the season strong with a goal and two assists for the first team.

Archie Hamp Young fullback Archie signed for the club in 2022. He was at Northampton Town for 2 years before joining the Carl Baker academy programme. He has since become a regular in the 1st team, making over 70 appearances for the club, winning Fans Player & Young Player of the Season awards.

James Hancocks Local lad "Hanky" rejoined the club in the 2022/23 season from Rugby Town. He also had a brief spell at the Racers from 2013–2015. The midfielder has had spells with Daventry Town, Cheltenham Town, Kidderminster Harriers & Stratford Town.

Hancocks won the club’s Managers Player & Boards Player awards in the 2022/23 season.

Brett Lloyd The left-sided player has plenty of experience playing at this level with Sporting Khalsa, Coleshill Town, Halesowen Town and Sutton Coldfield Town.

Sam Lomax Youth player for Aston Villa before a spell with Nuneaton where he was picked up by Barnsley. He then had spells with Stratford Town & Rugby Town before joining the club in December 2023 from Bedworth United.

Romario Martin The forward is well known at the club. He was our top scorer in the 2021/22 season with 19 goals in 25 appearances

Adam Miles Spent early career at Central Ajax before joining the club in the 2019/20 season.

"Smiler" has had spells with North Leigh, Coventry United, Newport Pagnell & Rugby Borough before rejoining the club last season.

Ryan Moore The former Birmingham City fullback joins from Bedworth United, where he made over 150 appearances over 4 seasons.

Aaron Opoku The forward has won promotion to Step 3 with Leek Town and has also played for Carlton Town, Matlock Town, Stafford Rangers & Eastwood CFC. Charlie Pye Midfielder has been with the club from the junior age groups. Joined the club's fulltime academy in 2024 and signed first-team forms last season.

Tyrell Skeen-Hamilton The former Birmingham City and Bournemouth forward joins from Redditch United.

His CV also includes Alvechurch, Stratford Town, and Barwell.

Connor Taylor Connor began his career at Aston Villa before spending a season at Walsall, making a single appearance for their first team during the 2012/13 season. He spent 5 years at Tamworth where he played over 100 games. Taylor spent last season at Leamington where he has been since 2018, making over 80 appearances.

Josh Willis Willis joined in December 2023 from Coleshill Town where he made over 90 appearances. He has also had spells with Romulus, Rushall Olympic, and Bedworth United. Willis scored in both our Playoff Semi-Final & Final wins last season
