Beyond Your Bachelor’s Degree Advancing Your Education Saint Peter’s offers accelerated 5-year degrees in business, data science, cyber security, accountancy and consumer science, allowing students to graduate with bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Graduate coursework can begin as soon as your junior year.

Taking graduate courses as an undergraduate helps make earning a master’s degree even more affordable.

Computer Science, Data and Analytics Saint Peter’s University offers comprehensive training within the computer science major and weaves data and analytics into the all of the majors to keep up with industry trends and advancements. Our expert faculty and state-of-the-art computer labs provide students with hands-on learning in market-driven computer languages, databases and applications, network construction, and cyber security. Cyber Security Center The Department of Computer Science maintains a Cyber Security Center on campus which provides a state-of-the-art environment where students and faculty can collaborate, conduct research, and work with current technology. Students see, up close, the impact of cyber attacks and learn methods to protect vulnerable systems without leaving campus.

How You Learn The Core Curriculum Study of the liberal arts is considered the foundation of all educational programs at Saint Peter’s. Through the core curriculum, students enhance the skills needed for the business world — they analyze quantitative information and problem solve, develop advanced communication skills, and gain teamwork and leadership experience with a diverse group of students. Bloomberg Certified Classroom The Frank J. Guarini School of Business recently underwent a $4 million transformation to create an ultra-modern learning environment. The centerpiece is the Business Laboratory which includes a simulated financial floor equipped with Bloomberg terminals, LED ticker, video conferencing and other capabilities that encourage and support students utilizing business intelligence as it is happening in the world.

Beyond the Classroom Students from Saint Peter’s have the unique opportunity to participate in the Goldman Sachs College Collaborative Program, a semester-long experiential learning project guided by Professor Ray Butkus. Teams work alongside Goldman Sachs employees on real-world business scenarios, on campus and on-site at their Jersey City and Manhattan locations, and present their findings to a mock board of directors.

The Ignite Institute is a center of excellence at Saint Peter’s that develops strategic partnerships with local businesses and entrepreneurs through the student fellowship program and the Entrepreneur-in-Residence mentorship program. Under the direction of Carlos Gutierrez, who has a background in angel investing and strategic advising for companies, the Ignite Institute helps empower students to positively impact the local economy, while enhancing their career prospects.

The Town and Gown Business Consulting Program is a collaborative effort developed by the Frank J. Guarini School of Business and the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce, which culminates in a competition where teams evaluate real life problems facing the local business community, and brainstorm solutions.

Experiential Learning Internships and Professional Development According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), 95 percent of employers surveyed said that internship and work experience are major factors in their hiring decisions. The Center for Career Engagement and Experiential Learning (CEEL) at Saint Peter’s University works with a diverse network of employers to help you create a professional résumé and find an internship. Saint Peter’s University students are securing competitive placements and earning on average $12,000 per year as interns.

Studying the World In order to get a perspective about the world around them, over 20 percent of our students participate in a global learning experience. Short term study through the course Doing Business Internationally allows students to investigate business models of other countries while exploring the culture.
