The Saint Peter’s community has one goal in mind: helping you achieve yours.

The Center for Career Engagement and Experiential Learning (CEEL) is dedicated to facilitating career development, advising and coaching. CEEL staff members provide a practical learning environment to ensure that students are prepared for professional success.

CEEL opened in 2015 to help students meet the expectations required by employers in today’s competitive workforce. In addition to career fairs, resume development and mentoring, CEEL hosts virtual career fairs and posts employment opportunities for students and alumni to ensure success after graduation.

CEEL offers a wide range of resources: • Internships and Academic Credit Earn up to 9 credits while gaining valuable work experience.

• Career Fairs Students can connect with over 60 employers at the fall and spring career and internship fairs.

• Focus 2 Career Assessment This online assessment helps identify career paths that suit your interests and skills.

• On-Campus Recruiting Interview with companies actively recruiting for internships, professional training programs and entry-level positions.

• Handshake Career Platform Exclusively for students and alumni, this career platform allows users to view job postings and review past internship experiences.

• Workshops and Events CEEL offers professional development workshops, career information sessions, employer and industry panels and networking events.

Internships We believe in real-world experience. That’s why over 65 percent of all seniors participate in a practicum, internship, field or clinical assignment. With downtown Jersey City only steps away and New York City in our backyard, opportunity is at our students’ fingertips.

Immerse Yourself Students have opportunities to participate in Industry TREKs at our partners’ corporate locations to provide students an immersive, insider experience to uncover career pathways and culture within the organization.
