The Jane Moulton Reuter ’72 Needy Student Emergency Fund grew out of the Jane Moulton Reuter Scholarship that has paid tuition for multiple students in the last 24 years. In the early 2000s when the economy got tough, Ed Reuter spoke about students who were having to drop out because of needs that could be solved by relatively small amounts to pay for rent, books, medical care or food, etc. As Ed was searching for solutions, we basically expanded our fundraising to deal with these hardships. Ed was passionate about this fund and our flexibility to adapting to changing times. As you all know, sadly, Ed passed away on March 29. The scholarship has been renamed The Jane Moulton Reuter ’72 and Edward Reuter ’64 Needy Student Emergency Fund. We know this is what Ed would want done with money donated in his honor. Please donate in his honor.
