PEOPLE: AGENTS OF EXCELLENCE Listening • Dignity of Work • Stability Through decades of change and growth, Saint Martin’s has become a comprehensive institution offering transformational undergraduate and graduate programs to one of the most diverse student populations in the Pacific Northwest. Across all disciplines, Saint Martin’s emphasizes critical thinking and ethical decision-making, while also encouraging innovation and discovery.

30 undergraduate majors

These programs span the liberal arts, physical and health sciences, business, engineering, and education.

New baccalaureate programs in high demand fields, including environmental studies, exercise science, and a pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

Since 2015, master’s degree programs launched in accounting, computer science, and environmental engineering. In 2020, the first doctoral program in Leadership Studies was offered.

PLACE: CENTERS FOR STUDENT LIFE & LEARNING Hospitality • Community • Respect for Others While Saints Martin’s has always been defined by our people, many are drawn to the strong sense of welcome and belonging of this place—from beloved Old Main to the innovative O’Grady Library and Cebula Hall to the memory-filled halls of Baran, Burton, Parsons and Spangler.

State of the art teaching and research facilities are key to attracting top faculty and students. Technologically smart, ecologically sensitive, and aesthetically beautiful facilities also draw-in greater participation and partnerships from community, business, and government leaders.

Priority projects •C onstruct a new Student Commons with expanded gathering space for student organizations, team meetings, study groups, leadership development programs, dining services, and campus events.

•E nhance residential living communities to align with planned enrollment growth. continue a multi-decade commitment to improving the academic and student life facilities at Saint Martin’s and support new and renovated spaces. create accessible, highly functional, environmentally sustainable, and visually appealing places for students to connect, gather and participate in co-curricular programs, and study, resulting in better interpersonal and learning outcomes for all students.

•C onstruction estimate: $15-20 million Completed projects • A state-of-the-art, $11 million facility, the Fr. Bede Ernsdorff, O.S.B. Center, home of the Department of Math and the Fr. Placidus Reischman, O.S.B. Department of Natural Sciences, completed in 2019.

• Renovation of a portion of Old Main to create the medically-advanced Bruno and Evelyne Betti Foundation Nursing Education Center, a $3 million first-phase upgrade of classrooms and laboratories, dedicated in 2021.

PURPOSE: ACCESS & OPPORTUNITY Stewardship • Justice • Peace Saint Martin’s University endeavors to develop thoughtful, service-oriented leaders grounded in the timeless values of the Catholic Benedictine tradition. Ensuring that a Saint Martin’s education is academically rigorous, supportive of student success, and spiritually enriching is a costly proposition. Greatly expanding the endowment will allow Saint Martin’s to award more financial need-based and merit-based scholarships, at higher levels per student.

Scholarship support, along with opportunities for academic, athletic, spiritual and leadership development, create the foundation for a transformative Saint Martin’s education. Your investment through our annual initiatives and events such as 3.21GIVE (our day of giving) or the Saint Martin’s Gala or through an endowed scholarship, will provide ongoing support to one or more students each year.
