Artist Biographies Bob Harvey, trumpet Robert (Bob) Harvey earned degrees from Missouri Western State University and Michigan State University. He taught in the Lee’s Summit School District for 29 years, and served as an adjunct for Missouri Western and Ottawa universities. He has been Principal Trumpet in the St. Joseph Symphony for over 30 years. He splits lead trumpet duties in the Kansas City Jazz Orchestra. He has performed and recorded with the Boulevard Big Band, Trilogy Big Band, Mike Metheny Big Band, Vince Bilardo Orchestra, and the Kerry Strayer Orchestra. Bob played in the TD Pack Band for over 20 years, 10 as lead trumpet. He is active as a guest artist and clinician, performing with and running master classes for area middle and high schools. He frequently serves as clinician, adjudicator and/or soloist for area Jazz Festivals. Bob is an Educational Representative for Meyer Music.
Bill Richardson, trumpet Dr. William S. Richardson serves as Professor of Music at Northwest Missouri State University, where he has taught since 1999. From 2017-2020, he was named the Dennis C. Dau Endowed Professor of Music (the first appointment to an endowed professorship in the institution’s history). A Fulbright Scholar, he was Visiting Professor of Trumpet at the Jazeps Vitols Latvian Academy of Music in Riga, Latvia, in 2010. At present, he is a member of the Saint Joseph (MO) Symphony Orchestra, the Saint Joseph Big Band, and the Phil Collins Experience, a tribute band based out of Kansas City. Dr. Richardson holds degrees from Central Missouri State University (BME), Florida State University (MM-Trumpet Performance), and the University of Texas at Austin (DMATrumpet Performance). His primary trumpet teachers were Neal
Seipp, David Aaberg, Bryan Goff, and Raymond Crisara. Now performing Yamaha trumpets, he was a Conn-Selmer artist/clinician for 20 years. Dr. Richardson’s affiliation with Northwest Missouri State University has taken him to Austria, China, England, Estonia, Latvia, Finland, and Japan.

Chris White, trombone Chris White has been performing and teaching professionally for over 25 years. He holds a B.M. Degree in Performance from the University of Central Oklahoma, as well as an M.M. and D.M.A. from the UMKC Conservatory. Chris has served on the faculty of Rose State College and Southern Nazarene University in the Oklahoma City area, as well as MidAmerica Nazarene University and William Jewell College in the Kansas City area. In addition to teaching, he is currently the principal trombonist for the Saint Joseph Symphony and the Northland Symphony and maintains a very active schedule as a freelance performer in a wide variety of groups and genres all throughout the Kansas City area.
David Earll, tuba Dr. David Earll serves as the Tuba/Euphonium Professor at the University of Kansas School of Music in Lawrence, Kansas. David also performs with the Northern Lights Duo, the Kansas City Symphony as Substitute Tubist, the Saint Joseph Symphony and Saint Joseph Brass Quintet as Acting Principal Tubist, the Kinnor Philharmonic Orchestra as Principal Tubist, Sam & Dave’s Brass Extravaganza, and has performed with the Syracuse Orchestra, Cayuga Chamber Orchestra, Dubuque Symphony Orchestra, Tallgrass Brass Band, Salt River Brass Band, Ithaca Brass, and the Paris-based Opus 333 – Quatuor de Saxhorns. Before his appointment at KU, Dr. Earll served on the faculty of Ithaca College and the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. David maintains an active schedule as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral musician, and clinician. Beyond his work in
North America, David makes regular appearances abroad, and has performed in Hong Kong, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Norway, the Netherlands, Brazil, and Israel. He has published commercial albums as a tuba soloist and featuring his work in The Northern Lights Duo.
