Class of 2020 Welcomed Into Our Community! Saint Joseph Academy welcomed 206 students in to the Class of 2020 on Thursday, August 18. This put enrollment at 728, the highest it has been in decades. The next day, they celebrated mass together and received an all-school welcome. Sophomores, juniors and seniors lined the walkway leading to the front steps of the Academy, clapping and cheering as the Freshmen and five transfer students received a single yellow rose from Principal Jeff Sutliff and President Mary Ann Corrigan-Davis '71. The freshmen then gathered together on the front steps of the Academy for a group picture. Join Us at Grand Reunion Next Month Alumnae from years ending in "1" and "6": Please join us for the 2016 Grand Reunion weekend. A Young Alumnae Get Together will be held at SJA for the classes of 2001, 2006 and 2011 on Friday, October 7. All reunion classes ending in "1" and "6" can enjoy dinner at SJA on Saturday, October 8. All SJA Alumnae and their families are invited to cheer on the JV and Varsity Volleyball team from the "SJA Alumnae Section" as they take on Amherst High School at the SJA Academy Center on Saturday. The JV game begins at 11:00 a.m. and the Varsity team will follow. On Sunday, October 9, there will be a brunch at SJA to honor the special women celebrating their 50-year or more anniversary of graduating in the Classes of 1941, 1946, 1951, 1956, 1961 and 1966. All alumnae and their families are welcome to join us for Mass and Open House on Sunday at noon. Nazareth Academy Alumnae Celebrate Reunion More than 100 Nazareth Academy alumnae gathered Sunday, September 11, to renew friendships and share memories. Special congratulations were given to the Class of 1966 as they celebrated their 50-year anniversary. Recognition was given to the classes of 1961, 1971 and 1976. Now Accepting Athletic Hall of Fame Nominations Do you know a former Jaguar athlete, coach or supporter who should be recognized for their contributions to SJA athletics? Nominations are now being accepted. All nominees will be evaluated by the SJA Athletic Hall of Fame committee on their significant and/or long term contribution to interscholastic athletics at SJA.
