THANK YOU! As I begin my third year at Saint John’s College Prep, I am more inspired than ever by the strength, generosity, and commitment that defines our community. The school’s theme “Be the One” has profoundly influenced our faculty, staff and students. I have been incredibly grateful to be a part of this journey as the Director of Development over the past two years. Returning to my alma mater to give back to a school that has given me so much has been a rewarding experience. Thank you for your unwavering support and generosity.
The Honor Roll of Donors for the 2024 fiscal year recognizes the benefactors who made a gift to Saint John’s between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024. Congratulations CLASS OF 2024
The Saint John’s Catholic Prep Class of 2024 was a very outgoing and talented group of 71 students. In addition to having a 100% college acceptance rate, they were awarded over $13.5 million in academic and athletic college scholarships. The class of 2024 will attend 52 different colleges and universities in 20 different states.
During their four years they earned over 8,978 hours of community service and demonstrated the importance of service and giving back to their community.

Saint John’s Alumni from the Class of 2018 - 2024 returned to campus to take on the current Viking LAX players in a game on the Warner Field under the lights. Despite weather delays, they were able to play and enjoy an indoor picnic sponsored by Roy Rogers following the game. We are looking forward to continuing this annual event in late May of 2025.

Grandparents'
DAYOn Tuesday, November 21, 2023, we welcomed over 100 grandparents for our Annual Grandparents’ Day. It was a wonderful blessing to share our school with them before we joined our families for Thanksgiving break. Grandparents were greeted by our Student Ambassadors and joined their grandchildren for coffee and donuts. They were entertained by a bell choir performance, photo sessions, and a beautiful mass celebration by Father Michael McDermott. They were able to purchase Christmas Cash raffle tickets and Christmas tree ornaments that were painted by our art students. The Saint John’s Community is truly blessed to have amazing grandparents and hope they will join us November 28, 2024, for our next Annual Grandparents’ Day.
Founder's DAY
On May 2, 2024, the Saint John’s Community came together to express our gratitude for Father John McElroy, S.J. our founding father who laid the foundation for us and Catholic Education. We honored him with a day of giving. The funds raised went towards tuition assistance to show our appreciation for his commitment to catholic education. The students, faculty, and staff enjoyed an afternoon of outdoor games and delicious food from local food trucks. A Special THANK YOU to all of you for your support in raising over $17,500 in support of tuition assistance for our students.

GOLF TOURNAMENT Annual
On Friday October 13, 2023, Saint John’s Catholic Prep held its annual golf tournament at Worthington Manor Golf Club. We were blessed with another beautiful sunny day. Our 112 golfers started their day with delicious Roy Rogers breakfast sandwiches and a Bloody Mary/Mimosa bar.
During the day, they enjoyed the putting green contest, competing for the longest drive, cigars, orange crushes, and Chick-fil-A sandwiches. At the conclusion of the tournament, the golfers enjoyed cocktails and a BBQ
buffet while the winners were announced. Congratulations to Pat Crowley, Roger Clarke, Brian Plamondon, Cam Clark, Depriest Daniels, Al Rhett, Larnell Simpson and Ron Stewart who were our 1st place team winners that won in a tie. Marybeth Warner was our ladies longest drive winner. Matt Zajac was our men’s longest drive winner. Carol Goundry and Brian Nogay were our closest to the pin winners. A huge THANK YOU to our generous sponsors which made this a successful event.

EXCITING NEWS!
We are thrilled to introduce our newest addition to the SJCP fleet – a 15-seater passenger van. This economical choice is perfect for transporting smaller groups of students to field trips and sporting events, providing an alternative to our full-size bus. This upgrade was made possible, thanks to the generous donations from our Soiree Angel Giving at the 2022 and 2023 Annual Soiree. Your support has been instrumental in making this purchase a reality, and we are deeply grateful for every contribution.
It was an exciting night as we transformed Saint John’s Catholic Prep into a dazzling casino. We watched the high rollers throw the dice on the craps table and the card players test their luck at Blackjack, 3 Card Poker, and Texas Hold’em. We were also blessed to have the event catered by PIGS BBQ and Frederick Wine House who are both parents of alumni. The evening was full of excitement and community fellowship, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support from our community.
