THANK YOU! What an incredible year it’s been! The Honor Roll of Donors for the 2025 fiscal year recognizes the benefactors who made a gift to Saint John’s between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025. These gifts have been for the Annual Fund, scholarships, clubs, sports, and other designations. We also celebrate the success of our annual golf tournament, the banner program, Founder’s Day, and the 44th Annual Soiree, which were tremendous successes, thanks in large part to the support of our volunteers and the entire Saint John’s community.
Serving as the Director of Development and the administrator for our Viking Parent Organization (VPO) has been a true privilege. I’ve had the joy of connecting with so many generous and dedicated families who have given their time and talents to making our school an outstanding community. Our theme this year, “Verso l’alto” (“To the Heights”), words inspired by the Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, has truly echoed across our campus, inspiring students, faculty, and staff to aim higher in every way. I’m deeply grateful to be a part of the SJCP family.

CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2025
The Saint John’s Catholic Prep Class of 2025 was a very exceptional and dynamic group of 68 students. In addition to having a 100% college acceptance rate, they were awarded over $13.3 million in academic and athletic college scholarships. Members of the class of 2025 will go on to attend 56 different colleges and universities in 17 different states. Throughout their four years at SJCP, they earned over 7,905 hours of community service exemplifying the school’s core values of faith, leadership, scholarship, honor, and service.

REUNION All 80’s
Saint John’s proudly welcomed back alumni from the classes of 1980–1989 for an unforgettable all ’80s Reunion! There were 45 attendees that travel across the US, some as far as California, Alabama, and Colorado. The DJ played the flashback hits of the 80’s to remind them of the first all-county dances that were held in McSherry Gymnasium at Prospect Hall. Laughter and stories filled the air as classmates reminisced about their time at Saint John’s, rekindling old memories and making new ones along the way as the toured the new building. It was a night full of joy, nostalgia, and Viking pride — a true testament to the lasting bonds formed at Saint John’s.

Grandparents' CELEBRATING
DAY
WITH LOVE AND GRATITUDE
On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, we welcomed more than 100 grandparents to our beloved Annual Grandparents’ Day celebration. It was a heartwarming morning of connection and community, just in time for Thanksgiving. Our Student Ambassadors greeted guests as they arrived, setting the tone for a day full of cherished memories. Grandparents joined their grandchildren for coffee and donuts, photo sessions, and participated in a beautiful Mass celebrated by Father Michael McDermott. After Mass, our guests had the opportunity to support the school by purchasing Christmas Cash raffle tickets and hand-painted Christmas ornaments created by our talented art students. The Saint John’s Community is truly blessed to have amazing grandparents and are already looking forward to welcoming them back next year on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, for another unforgettable Grandparents’ Day!
Founder's DAY
On May 9, 2025, the Saint Mary’s Community came together to express our gratitude for Father John McElroy, S.J., our founding father, who laid the foundation for us and Catholic Education. We honored him with a day of giving. The funds raised went towards tuition assistance to show our appreciation for his commitment to catholic education. GOLF TOURNAMENT Annual
On Friday October 11, 2024, Saint John’s Catholic Prep held its annual golf tournament at Worthington Manor Golf Club. We were blessed with another beautiful sunny day. Our 100 golfers started their day with delicious Roy Rogers breakfast sandwiches and a Bloody Mary/Mimosa bar. During the day, they enjoyed the putting green contest, competing for the longest drive, cigars, orange crushes, and Chick-fil-A sandwiches. At the conclusion of the tournament, the golfers enjoyed cocktails and a BBQ buffet while the winners were announced.
Congratulations to Bobby Cady, Darren Shaw, Andrew Hayes, and Jeremy Beeching who were our 1st place team winners. Carol Goundry and Lori Emri were our ladies longest drive winners. Darren Shaw was our men’s longest drive winner. A huge THANK YOU to our generous sponsors which made this a successful event.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Every year at our annual Soiree, we invite our community to support a special project that enhances our school for our students. This year, thanks to the incredible generosity of our Soiree Angels, we raised $16,750 towards the construction of a new front entrance vestibule. The advantages of having the new vestibule will not only provide a more secure entry point for our school but also improve visitor management and overall safety for our students and staff.
We are very grateful for our Soiree Angels for their generous support. Their contributions, combined with funding from a state grant, will allow us to begin construction during the 2025-26 school year.

What a great night! Everyone showed up representing their favorite NCAA basketball team and caught the tournament action live as games were livestreamed throughout the night. We kept the excitement going with a game of heads or tails, a wine pull, and a competitive but friendly shooting contest.
