Employee Awards of Excellence

Since Saint Francis High School’s founding, our educators have been the heart of a Saint Francis education. Each year, Saint Francis recognizes outstanding employees who make a difference in the life of our school. We begin this year’s report by celebrating our devoted teachers, staff and administrators who give selflessly, year in and year out, to our community, particularly in the 2019-20 academic year.

ROBERT J. URBAN SERVICE AWARD

Chosen by vote from fellow employees, the Robert J. Urban Service Award acknowledges an employee whose service to the school is performed with a generous and humble spirit.

HOLY CROSS MERIT AWARDS

Holy Cross Merit Awards are nominated by the faculty and staff and recognize employees who routinely go beyond expectations in one of the following areas of the school’s threefold mission:

ST. ANDRÉ STAFF AWARD

The St. André Staff Award is given to two non-faculty employees whose exemplary performance inspires students or employees to reach their highest potential.

SF EDGE EDUCATORS AWARD

The SF Edge Educators Award is given to two employees who have been employed at Saint Francis for seven years or less and have exceeded expectations and made valuable contributions to the school community.

SR. MERCEDES O’CONNOR, C.S.C. MISSION AWARD

The Sr. Mercedes O’Connor, C.S.C. Mission Award recognizes an employee who is wholly committed to the mission and vision of the school. This award honors a former administrator, academic advisor and guidance counselor at Holy Cross and Saint Francis high schools who was an advocate for girls education and a mentor to women educators.
