Dear Parents and Pupils, A busy penultimate week before half term and it has been a week that has been dominated by the Lower School production of Oliver! The novels of Charles Dickens, and in particular Oliver Twist and Great Expectations, are longlasting, personal favourites and I was thrilled to see one of them brought to life by our Year 3-5 pupils this week. My sincerest congratulations to all the pupils for their outstanding performances and a big thank you to Mrs Bradford, Miss Agrotis and Mrs Jones for all their hard work! This week, we also saw the welcome return of goats and ducks to Saint Nicholas. Research shows that alongside building confidence, keeping animals supports the development of empathy, responsibility, compassion and understanding in young people, and it has been wonderful to hear the goats' joyful bleating since their return on Wednesday afternoon. My thanks to Mr Pete Jackson, our Head of Estates, and his team for all the work that has gone into readying the site for their return.
