Golf is a game that lasts a lifetime.

Whether new to the game or a seasoned junior, our programming provides environments that are competitive, educational, fun, and safe for all.
The Sahalee Ravens Junior platform instills intrinsic values that include the development and growth of character, sportsmanship, discipline, and integrity. We strive to enrich the lives of our youth through education, fun, competition, and training.

Our goal is for all junior golfers to learn basic fundamentals, time-honored traditions and proper swing mechanics, along with rules and etiquette. We want them to fall in love with the game and be equipped to enjoy the game of golf for a lifetime!
The Sahalee Ravens Junior Program is a developmental program designed to introduce the game to junior golfers ages 5–17 years old. Juniors will be introduced to all facets of the game, including rules and etiquette. Participating juniors will be tested for various levels based on ability for the Sahalee Ravens Junior Certification Program.

Golfers of all skills are welcome and encouraged!
All Sahalee members and grandchildren of members are eligible to participate. Guests are also welcome to attend the Ravens Skills Development Series if sponsored by a Sahalee Member.
1. What skill level does my child have to be to participate?
Sahalee Ravens Junior Programming has a range of options for all youth ages 5-17. Whether your Ravens are beginners or long-term competitors, all skill levels are welcome!

2. Who are the instructors?
The Sahalee Golf Professional Staff is trained & ready to give the Sahalee Ravens a top notch golf education while keeping activities engaging. All of our golf professionals will have a hand in the Ravens programming.
3. Are the camps just on the driving range?

Our Sahalee Ravens camps and activities have a mix of practice and on-course play to facilitate both learning and fun! Our next pages describe our different Sahalee Ravens programs in detail to find the right fit for you!
4. Will camps only involve golf?
While our camps are aimed to make our Sahalee Ravens better golfers with great etiquette, we also aim to stay active with aerobic activities and fun games to increase motor skills. We are developing well-rounded athletes!
Sahalee Ravens Junior Qualification Series is a developmental program designed to systematically promote junior golfers and provide them with incremental access onto our practice facilities, short game areas, and golf course. Members can be assured juniors advancing through this process have passed testing to gain their certifications, and have proven knowledge of the game and proficiency on the rules of golf.

Individuals who go through our Junior Certification Program will obtain more golf privileges with each level they pass. They will earn the right to practice and play without the supervision of their parents. These privileges are a direct representation of their hard work and dedication in proving to the golf professional staff they are upholding the values we expect at Sahalee Country Club.

All kids will be a part of a team that may consist of anywhere from four or more players. The Sahalee team(s) will compete against other squads from local area golf courses. One of the biggest benefits of PGA Jr. League is the team aspect and interaction with other kids and opportunities to make new friends!

Families are encouraged to take an active role as spectators and volunteers within their local league.

Drive, Chip & Putt is a fun event we are adding to the Sahalee Ravens Junior Program that encompasses all aspects of the game - driving accuracy and distance, chipping and putting proximity to the hole. Juniors of all ages are encouraged to participate.

Juniors will receive instruction on all three skills. We will then conduct a skills competition using what they have learned.

Participants will accumulate points in each skill. The participant with the highest number of accumulated points will be declared the skills competition winner of his or her age group.
Points accumulated in the Drive, Chip and Putt count towards the Raven’s Cup season long competition.
This is a great opportunity to practice and gain experience before signing up for a local Drive, Chip, & Putt Championship Qualifier!
* Please note this is not a local qualifier for the National competition. Check the Drive, Chip & Putt national website www.drivechipputt.com for information about local qualifiers for the national event.
Each Thursday your Sahalee Golf Professional Team will create a fun learning experience for your junior golfer! Clinic topics will rotate to include coaching, contests, and games!
